Would not recommend. Carla was very unprofessional. My optometrist office submitted a referral for this place and the office did a great job sending text messages to schedule an appointment. The office gave me a call and Carla was the one helping me. She had no clue what she was even calling ME for and asked me instead? She was very scattered. If you aren't prepared to call someone, maybe try calling at a later time? I was scheduled for ICL evaluation and when asked if I was ready for the address and I said yes, once again, long wait? When I read back the address she literally laughed at me when I got the suite number wrong. How very unprofessional. If this is the type of staff to be the initial contact for your business, I'm good. read more

This is a great place to visit for your eye care needs. The office is pretty clean as well. The staff are all very professional and caring. I saw two different doctors on my two visits and they both were super friendly and attentive. Their exams are very thorough and good. I was sent here by an optometrist who thought I had glaucoma but NV Eye Surgery proved them to be way off on that assumption. I would trust them with my eyes any day of the week. Do be warned that on some days, they can be very packed and you will be there for a while. My first visit, the waiting room was packed. My last visit, it was just me and three other patients. read more

I call to make an appointment. I specifically asked the lady to DOUBLE CHECK to see if my referral went through. She said no problem. 6 Weeks later when I finally get to the office they said oh sorry you need a referral. ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS? The time between that day and the earliest next available appointment is SIX MONTHS. THANKS FOR NOTHING! 1st they make you wait 45mins before the 1st test, then another 20 mins for the next test hour and a half later you get to see the all mighty Dr. Why do they overbooked every time, every day? Doesn't he have enough mansions? So I came in one time and the nurses messed up and completely forgot to give me the preliminary tests. So they give me the tests after wards and send me out the door. No consultation. Just so they can charge my insurance. Pretty sketchy. Any other business would owe me a refund. No wonder insurance costs are so high! read more

I was referred to NV Eye for cataract surgery by my ophthalmologist. I had a few concerns upon my initial visit as the place was packed (no sitting room) and my wait time for the first test was over an hour after my appt time. I cannot tell you how many patients I heard say things such as, "nobody told me I needed a driver" or "nobody told me I would be here two hours". Once I finally got to the last stage of setting up surgery (was there over 2 hours myself), I mentioned to the scheduler several times that I needed to know the cost in advance. I was assured I would get a call about a week before surgery with that info. A week before surgery, I called them first as I had not received a call from them yet. I was told I needed to pay the surgeon's bill today, I would get the rest of the cost a couple of days before the surgery. I stated that I would like to know that cost now because if it is too much, I might not be able to afford it. There are several costs involved, surgeon, sugery center, anesthesia etc. And I was told by several friends that it can be costly to have this done. The scheduler that I spoke with was BEYOND rude and said if I didn't pay today and canceled later I would have to pay a $100 cancelation fee. I said, that is why I need to know the rest of the cost now. She said, you can call the surgery center, but they won't have the cost yet as we just sent the paperwork today, so you will just have to wait. In other words, pay us regardless and if you cancel later, you will owe $100 for canceling. Mind you, i was there one month ago to set the appt up so I am unclear as to why the surgery center just reveived the paperwork that day. I ultimately cancelled after all of that. This practice has zero compassion for patients' circumstances. They do not care about your time and frankly they are not a place I will ever have work on my eyes based on the administrative staff alone. Overall, it was a very off-putting experience. read more

I called to schedule my appt and the woman on the phone seemed friendly. I asked her a question and she responded that she could not answer but she can have someone call me. I informed her that would be ok, let's book the appt and I'll ask when they call. She told me my appt day and time and then proceeded to hang up on me. I like this place. I see Dr. Mu for my yearly diabetic eye exam. He's very nice and takes the time to answer any questions you have. The wait times vary from visit to visit. I have waited an hour to be seen, but last time was 20 minutes so maybe they're getting better. I'll continue to visit NV Eye Surgery for my eye care needs. read more

I looked around for a doctor who would make me feel comfortable enough to trust with my eyes. After the consultation I knew this was the spot and Dr.DeBry was the man I could trust enough to correct my vision. I was tired of wearing glasses, buying expensive contacts since I had astigmatism and over both of them. I am so happy that I found Dr.DeBry and got 20/20 vision now. I wasn't a candidate for LASIK, so I had PRK surgery instead. The procedure itself was no longer than 10 minutes, pain free and an amazing experience. The first three days were uncomfortable and boring to wait out since lights and screen time was off the table. After 3-4 months my vision started to clear up and now 6 months later I am grateful for my vision! If you're thinking of getting your vision corrected, go for it! Don't wait any longer, I am so happy I did, and this is the place to do it. read more

I have been to this facility several times in the past. This year, I was told my cataracts were ready to be removed. This all started with my visit of April 5th, 2024. I was told by the surgical coordinator that this procedure would cost $2,900. At that time, I told the coordinator that I could not afford that amount. She called in Dr DeBry and he brought the cost down to $2.000 and said he would use toric lenses. At no time was I explained the different types of lenses used in cataract removal. I am sure there are a lot of people that were not informed as I was. Come to find out, there are four different types of lenses used to replace natural lenses. On May 8rd, 2024, I went to the office and gave them a check for $1,000 not knowing Box Canyon, where the procedure would be done, does their own billing. Again, no information. His office transferred $415 to Box Canyon for the May 22nd procedure. When I went to Box Canyon on that date, they also asked for my $75 deductible. The second procedure was one a week later on June 5th at which time I had to pay another $415 plus my deductible of $75. After talking with my insurance provider, who had called Box Canyon, come to find out the total of $830 was the extra charge for what they considered "COSMETIC" lenses. I was told by my provider I should have only paid my copay for a total of $150 AND I still have to wear reading glasses. At no time did the word "COSMETIC" ever come up in conversation with DeBry and as I previously stated, choices were never given to me with reference to the type of lenses available. Also, I received an additional bill from NV Eye for $280 charging dates of May 22nd and June 5th. Like many others, cataract surgery is a new experience for everyone facing the procedure and a detailed conversation was not part of the initial consultation. I do not know if they are doing this with every patient. I am very disturbed and upset as I feel I was taken advantage of by both NV Eye and Box Canyon and overpaid for these procedures. read more

I went to Dr. Peter Debry to check into having lasik surgery. This was my third visit to this specific doctor. Every time I am there, there seems to be a staff change... never the same people twice. First, I was sent into a room to watch a video on three procedures to choose from that didn't pertain to the options the doctor actually offered me. Second, during my short lived time with the doctor, he could not seem to make and keep eye contact with me, in between making notes, and he did not answer all of my questions I had since what I was getting from him was different than the info on the video I watched (which weren't very many questions, yet important to me- the paying patient. His impatience with my inquiries and cold chair side manner made the decision for me too find another MD for my future needs. I noticed the one thing that IS efficient in this office is the collections of money. The other thing is how everyone is still forced to wear a mask. Next- we were told upon arrival that they are running about 30 minutes late... really- we are WAY TO BUSY for this. My husband and I sat for an hour and am still sitting here. People have come in after and left before us. Needless to say, if our appt time comes up one hour after our allotted time and still have not been called, we are walking out. This will be our last visit here regardless. As I sit in the waiting room with my husband (for his last visit here), we get to her one of his female receptionist named Fawn having a loud conversation for all to hear spouting names and complaint's (private info) for ALLLLL to hear. She loves entertaining us that way. How unprofessional can a whole office be! Once you do get seen, they move you from room, to room, to room... you end up there for hours. Their excuse was an accident on the freeway... we didn't come via the freeway... what about all the previous visits... hmmm WE DO NOT have time for this. Even if we did, who wants that kind of customer service and waste of time. Good riddance! read more

I was referred here for a post-op consult; I had cataract surgery many years before, out of state. It was difficult to get an appointment- the business card I had stated to text, but no one ever responded. When I did call, they asked for a significant amount of info which I then had to give again when they sent forms via email, which seemed redundant. But the office is spacious and clean, staff is friendly and efficient, and Dr DeBry was nice and professional. They accepted my insurance (Teachers Health Trust), so that's a real plus. So if you do prepare yourself upfront for a small bit of frustration with the administrative side of things, you will be pleased with the patient care received. read more

My son had an appointment at 9:20am....it's 10:30 and we saw other patients after us being seen!! We went up to tell them why it's taking long, and the front desk said we are still being seen. Dr DeBry, Dr Mu, and their wonderful team made every step of my ICL procedure easy and comfortable. They were competent, quick to respond to all my questions, and just kind, kind people, which I value highly. Within a month of my consultation, the procedure was done and I was able to see 20/20. Dr DeBry even let me choose my preferred music during the procedure. My prescription was -12.50. I will never have to worry about contacts or glasses again. I don't recommend this practice. I live 5 minutes from the Henderson office where I made my appointment. Was left a message about a month after my scheduling telling me my time had changed. I assumed I was still being seen at the Henderson office. I didn't know they had other offices. The day before the appointment I was told in a vm it was at another office which was over an hour drive with all the road construction on 515 and 15. I called to change it back to Henderson, but was told it was 6 months out to see the doc at the Henderson office and I had already waited 4 months for this appt; so I drove the hour to my appointment. Once there, I had to wait for 45 minutes in a very hot small waiting room with lots of other people, many coughing without masks. Finally I was called back. I told the tech I had my contacts on. She informed me I couldn't have the testing because I could not wear contacts two weeks prior to this test, huh???? I told her I was never told this and never given any instructions. Not a happy client. I just wasted 3 hours of my day, taken time off work and sat in traffic for two hours. Awful front office, a people mill. I never saw the doctor so I can't comment on the docs in this practice, but after this experience I've decided to go back to my specialist in southern CA where I know the docs and office staff are beyond excellent. read more

I was referred to Dr. Debry by my ophthalmologist. I received my consultation and was satisfied UNTIL I was told I would be contacted by the surgery assistant. For over two weeks I attempted to get in contact with Dr. Debry's surgery assistant. I visited the office and called the department many times. I was told each time to leave a message, and I did to never be called back. It got so excessive that I contacted the office manager, who I also never heard back from. In the end, I gave up and decided to get my surgery at Wellish Vision Institute instead and have been able to successfully all the needed appointments within a day. I am very disappointed with the patient care I received and am very upset that despite the effort I put in to always be cordial to those on the line that at the end of it, I was not given a callback. Going here only delayed the surgery I have been wanting to get. I do not recommend you come here if you want an easy, simple process of arranging eye correction surgery. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Todd Jackson for 3 years after moving here and needing see a new do for. During that time I have found the office staff to be extremely professional and polite. I have been to the Horizon and Smoke Ranch locations for appointments. Dr. Jackson came highly recommended and I have been very satisfied with his services. Only negative is that they are often busy and getting tests and appointments met can be time consuming. I would reccomend them to anyone needing an ophthalmologist. read more

I have been going with my mom to her post-op appointments at the Smoke Ranch location and had never had such a bad experience as the last time we went, Wednesday, January the 3rd. Let me start with we went about 3 weeks prior to this and the person who tested her eyes was not too friendly. But we decided not to say anything. But this last time I just can't...maybe she needs customer service classes? Because although she is not in the Hospitality industry, the treatment of those who go into the offices should be important to all of the staff. My mom had a 7:50am appointment, we got there at 7:42am. The doors were all locked and so we waited outside. We then heard the door opening so I grabbed it and the lady (CARMELA) basically screamed at me and told me not to open it, that can I not see that she is unlocking it. We waited while she unlocked, when she was finished instead of doing what a decent person would do which is tell us it is now open and possibly hold the door open for us, she pushed the door open and let is swing back, so that we knew that it was already open. So we walked in and she was already at her desk. Not one smile, not one good morning, not how are you doing. We sat and in a very rude tone she told us that "We were too early and that nobody was here yet." (It was 7:46am..one, that's not too early and two, there is no need to use that tone with us.) It only took a few minutes to be helped by a very nice girl and then by the doctor, also very nice. When we were about to leave we had to go back to CARMELA, to set the next appointment up and again, no smile, no nothing. We were told she speaks Spanish, so my mom talked to her in Spanish and instead of replying in Spanish, she would reply to everything she said in English...she then proceeded to make the appointment by phone because the computers were down and when my mom tried to tell her something, she put her finger out at my mom which basically says, "Don't talk". All she did was hand her the appointment card and again, not even a "Have a good day". NOTHING. read more

Since my last review, Dr Debry has removed a pterygium from one eye. It isn't a pleasant surgery but everyone at the surgery center was wonderful. I'd only have it done again if absolutely necessary...let's hope not. The surgery includes follow-up visits with Dr. Debry. As usual, his office operates smoothly and professionally. There was a small hiccup during the last visit, but things were handled extremely well by Desiree. No big deal, she just fixed the problem and on we went. Also, the scheduling was handled expertly and with great compassion by Jennifer. Everyone working for NV EYE really has the right attitude and the competence to get the job done. Do not go to them , they misdiagnosed my son , seen by doctor Crystal. we got lucky and got a second opinion just in time to save his eyes from a huge inflammation, when I called nv eye back for another visit becasue I saw the eye getting worse, even with the (wrong) medication perscribed the office said there was no doctor available when there was one, (I found out by law you must have a doctor on the premises and we called back and insisted )but they didn't say there was one doctor because that doctor didn't take our insurance, so for $75 dollar visit they made the decision for me that I didn't want to pay to other doctor because of insurance reasons and to risk my son's eye for a mere $75 ??? Dr. Mu is the doctor who attended to my consultation. I was there for a vision correction with whatever options they recommend deemed best for me. People at the front were nice and friendly. Dr. Mu was very patience and polite with good bedside manner answering to all my questions. Gave me very good advises and made me feel great about his recommendation. I have a 3 stars because- Unfortunately the tech assistant (lady) wasnt professional and seems that she is not sure about the test procedures before seeing Dr. Mu. One of the guy tech asst has to come in and help her because my eyes dried out with all tests. He told her that she should start me off the test with the other machines first so that my eyes will not dry. And somehow in between she 'damn here and there' in between while trying to get my test done. I work in a doctors office and I think this employee needs to be trained. It is not fair as the doctor is good but the tech brings down the quality of the office. read more

I walked in the day of my appointment and was told that my insurance wasn't accepted at their practice. the staff never notified me of any insurance issues they had 2 weeks to do so. the staff at the front desk couldn't give a rats ass about their lack of professionalism about contacting me about a issue with my insurance. I came here a few months back for a corneal abrasion and was seen by Dr. Peterson. He was very rude and unprofessional. The minute he walked in the room you can tell he had a bad attitude. As he proceeds to exam my eyes he kept on fidgeting with the phoropter asking me if he needs to Adjust it, which I said it was fine then he continues to move it again and asks me a third time if I could see and I said it's fine thanks, I'm not sure what ticked him off or if he was just having a bad day but in a snotty voice responds " Okay lady, I'm just trying to give you 5 star customer service, something I guess you've never had." He was rude and vague the remainder of my appointment which made my anxiety so much worse. The office has been calling me for months trying to get me to schedule a follow up after I told them I wasn't interested in returning. Dr Peterson your tone of voice is a bit harsh and you're not a very friendly dr, you should change that if you want to give "5 star customer service". read more
