I would not recommend this place to anyone. I brought my Mom here to get her new glasses after her cataract surgery and the place seemed nice enough. Very nice people working here. But looks can be deceiving. They ordered my Mom's new glasses and said they would be in in about two weeks. Well, it's been over a month and my Mom still does not have her glasses. I called last week, and they said they were still not there and that they would call me when they arrived. I called yesterday to get an update, still no glasses. The gentleman I spoke to said the person who placed the order would call me back after she got out of a meeting. She never called. I called back again today and left a voicemail asking them to call me or cancel my Mom's order so that she could go someplace else. Still, no call back. This place is the worst. I hate giving bad reviews, but when they are due, I have to. Do business with this location at your own risk. read more

This place is involved in a medical scam. I have been coming here for years and I had no issues. When I went in for my exam today, they were requiring additional testing and a mandatory $59 fee. I spoke with my insurance company who said it was not necessary, and I can have eye dilation which was covered by the insurance. My insurance said any additional tests were unnecessary because of my age and health. I chose to decline the additional testing. The office refused to give me my annual exam until I paid these additional fees. I spoke with other eye doctors around the town and they are not requiring this. This is a scam. I will no longer be a patient here. I have also reported the business to the Better Business Bureau. read more

I went to this office for an eye exam. I already had my own frame and did not go there to order new glasses. The eye exam itself was acceptable, and the staff was not rude; however, the service, communication, and follow-up were extremely poor. Despite the fact that I brought my own frame, I was required to sign a form stating that if my frame broke in the lab, they would not be responsible. This signature was mandatory, not optional. After 2-3 weeks, when I called to check on the status, I was told, "Oh, sorry, your frame broke and you need to come in and buy a new one." My frame was in good condition and not inexpensive, yet I was forced to purchase a new frame. It has now been almost two months since the process started, and I still do not have my glasses. I have had to constantly call and follow up myself. Often my calls are not answered, I am put on hold for 20 minutes, or I am told someone will call me back--which never happens. I receive no clear updates, and no one can tell me when my glasses will actually be ready, despite the time and money I have already spent. Overall, this experience has been extremely frustrating due to the lack of communication, accountability, and organization. I would not recommend this office if you expect reliable service or timely follow-up. read more

I used to think this was a good company and practice. Unfortunately, a recent interaction with them has totally changed my opinion. I had a contact lense appointment with them back in April, I was supposed to go in for a final check of the contact lenses to see if they would work, but due to life I was unable to until now. When I called to book the follow-up appt, they said the 90-day window expired, and I would have to pay for a whole new appt and contact lens fitting. Running me $150. They never told me about a 90-day window, nor did they ever contact me when I was getting close to it. Prescriptions for eye glasses and contacts are good for 1 year, so why should there be a 90-day window. I just wanted my 5 min followup to see if the contact trial pack (which also didn't expire until sometime in 2025) was sitting fine and was comfortable. Once again, the American Medical practice shows it only cares about money and not the patient. read more

This place is a disaster when it comes to common sense customer service. In 2024, my children and I were seen for annual vision exams. The insurance was incorrect as I did not update the ID and I did not catch it at the visit. I called later that day to adjust it and I was owed nearly $400. Chaz wanted to hold my $400 as a "credit" for "the future". Well, that won't work considering we only go there once per year. It took MULTIPLE phone calls with Chaz promising a manager would call me back - which none ever did - and me calling and calling and following up weekly before one day a manager happened to answer and immediately credited my bank card with the amount owed to me. It took way too long with way too much effort on my for that. Also in 2024, the office at Clear Vision quoted a price for generic frames with prescription lenses for my daughter. I declined. I asked for the prescription to be printed so I could shop elsewhere for cheaper options. They tried very hard to not give me the prescription. After some time with me standing firm, I got the printed script, went to a big box store, and my daughter got 3 frames for the cost of one at Clear Vision. Fast forward to 2025, insurance is correct. Paid the appropriate co-pay at visit. My daughter now needs contact lenses. They then tell me -after the exam- that it will cost $395 to get the contact lens script because it is part of a contact lens fitting. They will NOT give me a script without paying a $395 fee for "the consultation" and to teach her how to use the contacts. I phoned VSP and was told that providers can choose their own fees for contact lenses. Clear Vision needs to make this "mandatory fee for contacts" known UPFRONT before the annual exam is done. I also phoned other providers in my area and none of them charge anywhere close to $395 for contact prescriptions. This is a shake down and a way for Clear Vision to overcharge and make a profit on that end. It is BS. I am canceling all future appointments with Clear Vision at Horizon Ridge and taking my insurance benefits and copays elsewhere. Do not give this office your attention or energy, as it will require way too much of both from you to get basic, common sense service. They are out for $ and nothing more. read more

The only reason 5 stars not given is because they tell you they will call when glasses come in, in the 3 years we have been coming they NEVER once called. It would appear that they do NOT track when the glasses come in, update they computer or call as they state they will. Even when you call them, they have to go check if they came in and if not tell you they will call when they come in and they again fail to follow thru...... We really like the office, always friendly, nice atmosphere and the Doctor is friendly and thorough, there is just no follow thru to call you or to check on the status of your glasses when they tell you they will...... 1/4/24 UPDATE Still have not received both pairs of glasses. I want to note that the office staff appears to ALL BE NEW as is the optometrist. The more I have tried to work with them the more unprofessional they have been, pretty much nothing they can do. I did receive a text stating glasses where in, it did not state one or two pairs, I had to text and ask, they did text back and state one, the other is 1-2 weeks out. The office manager has yet to return my call. There is NO main office/customer service to contact. Unfortunately, we will NOT return this year or ever. They lost 2 customers due to lack of customer service and the attitude that apparently is acceptable at this specific office. read more

We've been coming here since 2018, we've met so many staff and not 1 we were disappointed with. This was our boys 1st eye exam, and they were comfortable. Our boys are on the low end of the autism spectrum, not many they taken likely to them. Overall, we love coming to this location. read more

This ClearVision staff is absolutely wonderful. I woke up with a swollen eye and was in a lot of pain. The receptionist was so kind and went and spoke to the doctor to get me in same day. I went in and they saw me right away. Dr Mancuso was very thorough and compassionate. He offered me multiple solutions and even made sure to tell me that if i wasn't getting better within 2 days to come back and see him for further examination. I'm updating my original review. Everything is the same except I finally got a diagnosis and I strongly believe an eye Dr. would be aware of this. If not, considering I saw him for well over a year for my vision issues, he would/could maybe have done a little research?? I, personally would have as a Dr. Instead I was left with, "I don't know what else to tell you." So I stopped seeing him and kept living with it. Well, one of my double vision episodes was so bad & wouldn't go away. Vertigo, puking, arms/legs went to jello. After 6 hours, my son ended up calling 911. ER did CT & MRI of brain & turns out I have a tumor on my pituitary gland. After researching, the primary way these are diagnosed/discovered is because a person starts having visions issues, specifically double vision. Also, on new patient forms we must do, I listed medications I take & medical issues. I listed I take synthroid for thyroid & after I've done further research, the pituitary gland & thyroid affect each other. Trust me, I googled double vision myself, but it never led me to any of this. I'm also not a Dr. I haven't been able to get a job bc I have no idea or warning when episodes come on & knowing this could have been resolved a long time ago if I was given suggestions what to do next, is frustrating. So I hope someone from his office sees this & lets him know. I don't want to leave my name here publicly, but I think you can PM on here & I'd be more than happy to provide as long as it shows proof it's from the office. read more

I had been having an issue with my eyes every time I put my contacts in. im not a glasses wearer and am basically blind, so I was really hoping for a resolution. for months my eyes would start to feel like something was in them and itch and id have to take my contacts out, I had been wearing them half my life, and this reaction was new for me. I started using different eye drops but nothing helped. so I made an appointment at this location for an eye exam. I was afraid I had an infection or something. money has been real tight for me , so I asked the receptionist how much an eye health exam would be and she said something like "anywhere from 45 dollars to 110, depending on what all the dr. does" . come the appointment, Dr. Aaron Mancuso, lets me explain what the issue was, told me it sounds like I have dry eyes, he then told me to just keep using the same eye drops I had already been using for months, and sent me on my way. disappointed, I approach the receptionist, and she tells me my total is 112$. I scoffed and asked for what and she said for the exam. I asked how the amount is determined and she asked why I was asking and I explained that he did absolutely nothing for me, and Is now charging me the highest amount possible? she empathized and agreed that wasn't right. I asked her if there's a system to how much is charged or is the dr. just randomly picks and amount. and the said the dr. just decides the amount. she apologized on behalf of the facility and hesitantly took my card information. to do nothing for me . at all. not even pretend. and then charge me tier 3, the highest amount possible, is insane. will never go back. and strongly deter others from coming here. read more

Poor customer service from start to finish. Over-flashed during retinal photos, no help in selecting glasses and treated like a number instead of customer- I'm on fixed income so I asked for full costs to be prepared at time of service. It was near $800. I selected my frames ask for final cost.. paid in full at time of exam. One month later I received a bill for another $30.., Never received an explanation .., just you owe more Lousy service, overpaid for frames then a bill for more money afterwards I would not recommend this business to anyone read more

I recently relocated to Henderson and was way overdue to see an eye doctor. My family members had recommended Dr. Mancuso and I had decided to take their suggestion and make an appointment. Leading up until the appointment I was a bit nervous because I simply did not know what to expect. I had saw the reviews on Yelp and hoped for a thorough and smoothed experience. The day of my appointment came: check-in was quick. The receptionist that helped me was very nice and the wait time was not that long. In fact, as soon as I turned in my paperwork, I was taken in the back for my screening. The screening and photo taking went well; I was with Chaz who took care of me and prepared me to see Dr. Mancuso. I honestly have to say that my time with Chaz not only calmed my nerves but she is so bubbly and welcoming. Waiting to see the doctor was brief. Dr. Mancuso came in and conducted the rest of my appointment. He's very knowledgeable and I could tell from our interaction that he truly wants to help and is passionate about proper eye care for his patients. He went over options I could use to help with my astigmatism, encouraged me to develop better habits with my contacts (because I am horrible with not taking them out frequently), and took his time with me. I never felt rushed. All of my questions and concerns were acknowledged and answered. Once I was done with my contact fitting, Dr. Mancuso walked me back out to the front and I got fitted for glasses. Overall, I am very satisfied with my experience and am happy to say that I have found my go to for all of my eye care needs. FYI for new patients: 1. They have paperwork on their website that you can print out and complete a head of time. When you check-in, you may have to fill out two more sheets of paperwork, which is not that extensive. I say maybe because I had to but I'm not sure is it varies with the type of insurance you have. 2. For me, I was told I could choose between 2 options as a new patient for the screening of both eyes: annual digital photos that would be an out-of-pocket expense of $39 (not covered by all or most insurance) OR dilation at no cost (dilating the eyes will result in a temporary inability to focus, eyesight can be blurry for a few hours). 3. They are closed for lunch from noon to 1 pm. They open promptly at 1 pm so if you're appointment is at that time, like mine, you don't need to worry about going in earlier for your paperwork. read more

Had a multitude of sub-par experiences here. I can attest to the earlier review of being upsold to, a general impression of disinterest from the doctor, as well as long wait times in the office. I went in for a contact lenses in the Spring/Summer of 2013, and as someone with astigmatism, I was upsold into a hard/soft hybrid contact lens that was new to the market and would supposedly "revolutionize" my near-sighted vision correction. Before I detail that, let me take a moment to discuss the "bedside manner" of Doctor Mancuso, which is to say that it's particularly poor. I did not feel that he was invested or interested in hearing about my eye health, and worse, he seemed to feel the need to use my eyes as his practice dummy to remove the hybrid contacts (which he wasn't very familiar with) and scratched them pretty heavily in the process. His solution to this was "pain go buh-bye" eyedrops (his words, not mine)... needless to say, in addition to the scratched eye, I didn't enjoy his speaking to me like I was a 6-year old either. Back to the hybrid lenses: Fast forward to several follow up appointments and refittings and one miserable summer of never being arms reach away from very expensive eye lubricating drops and where it seemed that I'd never be a contact wearer again. After finally just having enough of the dry, painful hybrid lenses I was testing. I returned the lenses to the office and demanded to go back to my old brand of soft lenses. Dr. Mancuso seemed crestfallen (as I think I cost him a commission), he tried his best to let the process continue of refittings and adjustments and held over me that my eyesight wouldn't be nearly as clear with my old soft toric lenses. I insisted, however, and he finally ordered the soft lenses for me to which I've had no further issues with in terms of vision. Fast forward again: Adding insult to injury, last month, I called requesting a re-up on my 6-month contact supply and was told they would take 7-10 days and that I would be called when the order arrived. I was even invited to pay for them via phone, but I declined, saying I'd do so in person. After 3 weeks without a call from the office to confirm their arrival, I called today to be told that no order was placed and that I'd be needed in for a follow up appointment. My prescription had run out and I'd be needed in the office for a new appointment before an order could be placed. No consideration was given for the fact that Doctor Mancuso wasted over 3 months of my time with the hybrid lenses that he was ill-equipped to sell, service, or do fittings on. It's been well under a year since I ordered the soft lenses, and that he's not able to put in a reorder in given the circumstances is insulting. The level of passive-aggressive customer service among his staff in the office to not call me after telling me order was being placed is nearly worse. There are a lot of eye doctors to choose from in Las Vegas. I'll never go to this one again. Do yourself a favor and do the same. read more

I'm actually pretty surprised to read some of the other reviews.. I had a great experience with the Doctor and actually every staff member I interacted with. I visited another eye doc earlier last year and all the girls looked like they were they didn't want to be there, sighing and all... I didn't want to go back. Hoping for a better experience, I went in and was delightfully surprised. What a difference! Every single staff member was happy to be there, super friendly and even as I was in the sitting area waiting to go in, they were so polite and nice to each other. I know it's kind of weird to mention, but too often you see the fake smile and then sit back and observe the same people being negative or on their phones... They all seemed genuinely happy to be there. I had to order contacts and went back to get them weeks later and they remembered who I was, which was nice as well. I can see how others complain about time, but they do let you know when to expect them and depending on what you're getting... manufacturers can take their sweet time. ordered some contacts on july 14th for my wife, i been told would be ready by that monday, its been 2 and a half weeks!!!! drove to the clinic and they had to "re-order" them,and they couldn't tell us why! this place did not even call us that there is a delay or had to re-order! BS establishment!! and now my wife has to wait again!!? only reason why i came here is because my friend recommended this place but you know what? i should've stayed with WALMART at least they don't F$&k up orders! and WALMART is faster and they give you a courtesy call. last time i will be here. i DO NOT recommend this place. if there was a no star button i would've gave it NO star. waste of my damn time. and i paid in full right away. again BS place. 8/3/2016 REALLY?!? picked up my wife's contacts today finally! i get home and she told me they effed up the her contacts AGAIN!!! wth!! what is going on there!?! you guys are not even busy! she got off the phone and was told AGAIN they will have it ordered today, this place is garbage. another wait. another order messed up. I was a customer here about 4-5 years ago and we moved to Tampa. We moved back a couple months ago and I unexpectedly ran out of contacts. I thought I had a couple left in reserve. So I decided to walk in and make an appointment vs. calling and they were able to sit me and take care of me right away. I didn't expect that but was extremely happy they did. They check out my eyes and prescription to make sure. I think g has changed and had me on my way in under 1 hour. Contacts came in next week. Happy customer. Sometimes the waiting can be a bit long but not to bad, Dr Mancuso makes up for it. Me and my family have been going there for the last 6 years. Staff is great and they accommodate your appointments if needed. I only wish they had more selection in their eye ware, I don't like having limited options. I ordered my sunglasses 08/09/22 she told me it will take 2to3 weeks and they'll call me when my glasses arrive i waited for 4weeks no call from them i call them and told me it's ready to pick up i went to pick up my glasses and surprise when i saw the glasses i ask if they can darken the shade and ask if the can make the frame black color the glasses look exactly what I've seen on a display none of my request on the sunglasses is there the person told me the shade cannot be darken because its not plastic and i totally forgot her excuse she told me about the frame can't be black why the first person told me i can my husband don't wanna come to this place because it takes forever to receive the glasses he told me to go somewhere else because the last time i ordered my glasses it took 7weeks with no apologies now the lady told me i have to wait 2to3weeks again i told her this one took 4 weeks and now I have to who knows how long and i just from her that my glasses arrive on 08/31/22 and they didn't even bother to call me and let me know when its very clear they will call me once they receive my glasses horrible place to this place they call and live message if wanna keep my appointment i have to call them back right away or they will cancel what about them they cannot call if the glasses is ready to pick up it seems like when they get your money they don't give a shit about you. read more

Spoiler alert: This is a 1-star rating for the front office, not Dr. Mancuso, who I never got to see today because of the office staff. This Clear Vision Eye Center does not accept TRICARE, which would have been helpful to know when I made my appointment 2 weeks ago and specifically asked. TRICARE insurance was also pre-printed on my paperwork when I arrived. It was only after I completed all the paperwork was I informed that TRICARE was not accepted. This is not acceptable on any level. I took a day off from work for this appointment. Of course, Melissa blamed the "new" girl! FYI: The Clear Vision Eye Center on W. Sahara (which I have used since 2013) accepts TRICARE. read more
