I've been in the medical field as a nurse and as a cancer patient for many years and understand that doctors have different personalities and that surgeons sometimes don't have the best bedside manner. I also understand that people can have bad days. However, Dr. Leibowitz didnt just have poor bedside manner, he was over the top rude, didn't look at me, barely acknowledged me and treated me as if I was a nuisance not worthy of his time. His demeanor was aggressive. He was rushing through our appointment and then with barely any explanation got two syringes and headed for my eye without clarifying what he was about to do. Ive had enough. I called him out on his behavior and told him that at the very least I deserve some basic decency as a human being. I told him that if my presence is such a bother, and he's in a hurry to go see other patients, to please go ahead and do so, because Im leaving. His reply was "you are not doing me any favor by being here". He must've felt somewhat bad because he ended up calming down a bit, explaining what his plan was, drawing a diagram for me, and in the end telling me he's "sorry we started off on the wrong foot". This appointment had me so rattled and upset that I knew I wasn't coming back. I have no problem calling out anyone, including doctors when their behavior is despicable but if you do, I would suggest avoiding this surgeon entirely. If you are easily intimidated, I would avoid him. If you cannot stand up for yourself or don't know your rights as a patient and a human being, stay away from this man. He might be a good surgeon, but I did not find out, because I never came back. From my limited experience with this man, he's not a good human being. There's zero excuse to treat your patients like they're garbage. Last thing I wanted to do was have him operate on me and not feel comfortable to ask him questions or to come to him with complications. I have since found a different surgeon and if I could give this guy zero stars, I would. I have never seen or met a ruder doctor in my life. P.S. Ive been trying to obtain my medical records from this office for the last month and they are saying that they will only release my records if I come there IN PERSON and fill out their "release of records" paperwork. They will not email me the paper, they will not mail me the paper. They want me to fly to Vegas so I can sign a piece of paper. A word of advice, stay away from this place. No one deserves to be treated this way. No one!

Even though my flap had to be done twice because I was moving and nervous during surgery, he stayed completely calm and confident, which instantly relaxed me. Nothing felt rushed or stressful, and he handled everything with total professionalism and precision. The surgery itself was over before I realized it even started which was awesome and very relieving. For context, I went in seeing 21/50 and could only see 20/20 with glasses. The very next morning, I was already seeing 15/20 with zero blurriness. I honestly couldn't believe how clear everything was that fast. They have 2 offices on the same floor in the same building (both with signs that say "Wellish Abrams") and after checking in at the front desk we sat for an half hour but ten minutes past our appointment time someone called over from the other office and said I was in the wrong place and they had been searching all over for me assuming maybe I was stuck in the bathroom. It was quite a long time and lextensive process before we saw Dr Shah for about 3-5 minutes and he said I have a Vitreous Hemorrhage, it is very serious, and I need to see someone right away. I was referred to a retina specialist that was closed so I was told to call Desert Retina first thing the next day. The Wellish Abrams workers never faxed the referral with notes to Desert Retina so the operator at Desert Retina asked me to call Wellish Abrams and request they send the referral and notes. Wellish Abrams does not answer their phones, they employ an answering service which says they will try to get the request to Wellish Abrams within 24 hours. After 24 hours you must trust that the people who did not send the referral the first time will do it the next day. I do not understand why the process has to be such a circus, if you have an eye emergency why can't you go to one place and get all your medical needs accomplished? Southern Hills sent me to Wellish, which took 2 days, Wellish sent me to Desert Retina and didn't forward the referral and notes and meanwhile my eyeball is hemorrhaging. 3 doctors along the way stressed to me that my situation is an emergency and could result in blindness if not handled expeditiously.

We were referred here from Dr. Wickens at Retina Consultants, in an emergency type situation for a…read morecornea infection and sever scarring. We were referred to Dr. Alder. He has been incredible, kind, very thorough and up front every step of the way. Very detailed and answered all our questions and what to expect. Why there is no way to reverse the scarring, he was easily able to get the infection gone quick. We have regular appointments with Dr Alder to keep a close eye on the situation and have cornea checks. We were easily able to get a specialized eye glass prescription quickly to help him see. The doctor and his staff have gone above and beyond and taken such great care of us and we could not be more grateful. Dr Alder has continue to provide top notch service to his patients. The staff have been amazing to work with and very kind. They always provide a laugh to help ease the nerves. Scheduling through them has been a breeze. I truly cannot recommend this place enough as they were a lifesaver literally.

Wellish Vision Institute was excellent in every aspect of my visit…read more I had LASIK on both of my eyes performed by Dr. Wellish and cannot begin to describe how life changing the outcome is. My vision wasn't terrible but I did have to wear glasses or contacts for everything everyday all day for anything for 25 years until Dr. Wellish fixed my eyes. I was nervous about having the procedure done (who wouldn't be nervous about lasers in your eyes!?) the staff that he has working with him did an excellent job of addressing my concerns and putting me at ease while I waited in the relaxation room - they made sure that I was comfortable and that my anxiety was subsided. When it was time for the procedure it was very quick and very professional; not a skip in the beat. It was very clear that Dr. Wellish and his staff are very good and quite possibly the very best at what they do. Dr. Wellish was very empathetic during the process as well and made sure that I knew what to expect as it was happening so that I wouldn't be caught off guard in anyway. Healing was exactly as they said - it was roughly a day and I could see wonderfully for the first time in a very long time. My vision continued to get clearer and clearer as the days went on and now my vision is better than perfect! I had my follow up visits with Dr. McCandless who is also amazing! He was very informative on after care and addressed all of my questions and any concerns I had. He filled out the DMV paperwork for me as well so that I can have the appropriate wording on my drivers license. If you have EVER considered LASIK- I encourage you to do it!!! I originally came in for a simple chief complaint, on-and-off red eyes. But what I received was far more than I expected. During my visit, Dr. Reddy took the time to listen carefully, ask detailed questions, and thoroughly explain possible root causes. He told me that my recurring red eyes might be linked to a systemic autoimmune condition, specifically autoimmune arthritis. What shocked me the most was how accurately he described all the symptoms I've been silently struggling with...lower back pain, hip pain radiating down my leg and foot, skin hypersensitivity, joint pain, and severe morning stiffness. I never even mentioned these to him, yet he described them exactly as if he had known my situation for years. It felt like someone finally connected the dots that every other doctor had overlooked.
