As I was a bit concerned about the standard menu not having enough variety of selections, the specials added items I did like. I had the swordfish special. All food and drink items arrived within a reasonable amount of time. As extra items were needed, they were also brought in a reasonable amount of time. Billy and the rest of the service staff that assisted were attentive, pleasant and friendly. The food was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The prices were reasonable when compared to the quality and portion received. My guests and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would recommend and return. Our drinks were empty for most of the meal, and we had to ask another server just to find her. One of our drinks was made wrong, and when we finally got her attention, she seemed annoyed she needed to come to our table and actually walked away while we were still talking, which felt really dismissive. What makes it more frustrating is that there's an automatic 18% gratuity even for small tables. I ended up having to tipping $22 total, and for only seeing her a handful of times, it definitely didn't feel deserved. To top it off, when I mentioned to the head bartender (who was acting as the manager) that I wouldn't be coming back, he pulled $40 cash out of his own wallet and offered it to me to "give them another chance." It honestly made me feel so uncomfortable and was not an appropriate way to handle the situation. The food was fine, but the service and overall experience were not. For the prices and the built-in tip, I expected much better. I will not be returning.
