I had a roof leak last Dec 2025 due to heavy rains. My wall and floor got affected and needs to be repaired. My insurance assigned MDC builders to mitigate and fix the issue. I appreciate the job they did during the mitigation process by containing the area with a thick plastic membrane. They removed the affected walls and floors to prevent molds from sprouting. The paper works took a while for the repair to kick in. I love the way they meticulously repair the wall including the painting of the entire ceiling, reinstallation of the blinds, and cleaning process. The wall repair took at least 2 days to complete. The demolition and the installation of the floor was also good. If there's one thing that needs to be improved is the workflow from the flooring guys. During the demolition process, there was no plastic covering for the appliances like tv, gas range, or even in the kitchen area where dust accumulate. They are also not courteous on removal of toilet seat (dragging into the floor) and doors with respect to where they should be placed temporarily. But overall they did a great job on the floor installation. The next step on the repair process was the caulking and painting of baseboard which they did an awesome job; from preparation to completion. The last step was the delivery and reset of the furnitures. I highly recommend Jordi on the hauling out and in of our furnitures. He make sure that each and every furnitures are wrapped in blanket and plastic and other smaller items are appropriately contained in a box with paper fillings. He's very professional on the way he handles the job. As always, there's always a room for improvement, but I still recommend MDC Builders on any project based on my experience. read more

Not only did they do a terrible job Trisha Drago has made a false statement to the insurance company which is considered insurance fraud. My insurance agent has informed me of their dishonesty and is submitting a claim against this company for insurance fraud. False statement of an insurance claim is a felony. read more

This company is very unresponsive. The only conclusion is they think a job is beneath them, they over book, poor management skills, or poor customer service skills. They are aware of the job, but the don't respond to voicemails or messages left with call taker, Jesse. We used MDC Builders to repair water damage in our home. They made the process bearable when it could of had been stressful. From the pack out to painting to replacing the floors. MDC was referred to us by our insurance company for a whole kitchen renovation after a bad leak. These guys were awesome! Adan was our project manager and he is amazing at what he does. He was polite, accommodating, really tried to work with us to make us happy in every way possible, and just a really nice guy all around. The whole team was polite, very punctual, and detail oriented. They would always call the day before and let you know what time they would be showing up in the morning. If we didn't like something, Adan would go out of his way to fix it and find another alternative. Do not use this company. Carlos is rude has no clue WTF he's doing. They took my job for a leak ended beaking my waterheater. Even time they set up time to show up they never did. There employees said they didn't speak English. They left garbage all over. All over my house wwith there dirty shoes. They don't work a job continuously 1 day here another there. MDC builders were hired to do restoration and repair after the water leakage destroyed the flooring of the master bedroom and the master bathroom. The water leaked down to the first floor in the garage and the half bathroom. They were recommended by our insurance and that's why I had to work with them. They were a NIGHTMARE from the beginning. They took too long to send us their estimate. The work went super slow, 10 weeks to complete the work, which could have been done in 3-4 weeks at the most. One of the reasons for this delay was an order issued by one of their many managers to stop the work at my project. She claimed that their workers felt uncomfortable working at my home. The fact was that I refused the materials they were installing in my home. To punish me, she stopped the work totally and that was in the middle of the project. They know nothing about Customer Satisfaction! Regarding communicating with them, they were so unprofessional. They had too many managers and site supervisors. We had to talk to all of them since we didn't know who was really in charge. To email them, I had to send and cc many others. When we called, we had to leave a voice note as everyone was out for different reasons. They never respected the timeframe that they had set. As an example, they planned to install the new carpet on a Saturday. I waited for them to show up, however, they called to inform me that UNFORTUNATELY the Carpet store was closed Saturdays and Sundays and work will be resumed on Monday. Many times I had to cancel important errands or commitments, in the last minute, since they kept giving appointments without keeping their promises. DO NOT WORK with MDC if you want to maintain your peace of mind. If your insurance company refers you to these guys, say NO THANKS. read more

We were referred to MDC by our homeowners insurer to repair damage caused by a plumbing leak. They replaced some drywall and ceilings, repainted the affected areas, and replaced a carpet. Their crew worked hard, did quality work, showed up when they said they would, and were personable and professional. I can't speak to whether what they did could have been done more inexpensively, but our insurance company approved their estimate, so I assume it was within a normal range for what they did. read more

Ok. I had high hopes for this company! We had a flood in our room in mid May. We called MDC Builders out to give us a bid on May 24th. They were referred to us by service master restoration tech who we loved!! So I called his referral Trisha Drago. I scheduled an apt with Trisha and her boss Antonio. They came out, walked the job, spent over an hour at our home. They told me I would have a bid within 4 business days. Two weeks went by and I hadn't heard from Trisha so I started calling. Another week went by so I texted her. She informed me that she was out on medical leave and didn't know when she would be back. At that time I reached out to the office and the young lady gave me another contact number so a week went by with nothing. TODAY June 23 one day shy of a month I talk to 3 different people only to receive a TEXT message from Trisha letting us know they were not able to bid our job. I called and ask to talk to upper management and I still have NOT had a call back! d Truly unprofessional! I do not recommend doing business with this company! read more

We had a tree fall on our roof on a rental home during a windstorm, and our Insurance Folks and Property Management folks recommended MDC. Antonio was our point of contact and was helpful and patient with us as we worked thru the repair process. Since we were not in the area, most of the coordination was by phone and email. The job was completed on time and on budget. We had additional work done to update a bathroom and Antonio offered us several options. The work was done in the time frame allotted and at the price quoted. When a small, last minute labor item came up, he was gracious enough to include it with no extra charge. Sometimes it was difficult getting a clear answer from the office staff on timing and coordination steps with insurance -- there seemed to be many office staff, but only one seemed to be "assigned" to my insurance claim. MDC Builders are an absolute nightmare to work with. Unprofessional, poor workmanship, and the absolute worst communication I've ever dealt with. When we filed an insurance claim for our wood floors that warped from water damage, our insurance company gave us the option to pick our own contractor and pay them ourselves and go through a lengthy process of getting the work approved for reimbursement, or to go through MDC Builders, meaning they'd handle all the payments and the work would be guaranteed for 5 years. Boy, how I wish we did some research and found our own contractor! MDC absolutely botched the job, leaving wood stain all over our cabinets, using the wrong color filler between boards so that it stood out like a sore thumb, and leaving leaving things so that the boards are now separating from one another when we step in certain spots. Since the work was "guaranteed," we arranged to have them come back and fix the separating boards problem (after already having them come back to clean up the mess they originally left). Since the necessary repairs would involve re-finishing certain spots on the floor, I was told they would need about a full day to dry without being stepped on, which meant I needed to get out of town with my dog for a couple nights so that my dog wouldn't walk all over the not-yet-dried finish. Knowing from experience that this company is unreliable, I texted a day before leaving my house to make sure the work was going to take place as-planned, and would only take one full day of work. I was assured this would be the case. Of course, once I rearranged my whole work schedule and was out of town, I found out that no one had arrived in the 8am-9am window I was told to expect the workers, and a few hours later got an update that someone would be by between 11am-1pm. At 1:15pm, someone showed up, took a look at the problem, and said that they wouldn't be able to get it done that day, and we'd need to reschedule at least a week out. This is par for the course for this company, and I wish I could say I was surprised. At this point, I'm working with my insurance company to see what our options are for getting the work completed by someone competent. If you value your home and your sanity, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! read more

Our dishwasher flooded our kitchen and hardwood floors and MDC was hired by our insurance company to repair our home. First, let me say that MDC was a pleasure to work with during our eight months of construction. All the staff (especially Carlos and and Trisha), who handled coordinating all the tradesmen and the pack-out/in of our furniture. We had a few delays (two months for cabinets to be made) and of course, delays in dealing with our insurance company. Once the actual demo and work started, all subcontractors, electricians, installers did excellent work, were timely upon arrival, courteous and were extremely helpful in answering all of my questions. I would highly recommend MDC Builders to anyone who is in need of professional contractors for their home projects/repair. Lastly, they were great in dealing with our two dogs, who always greeted them upon arrival to our home. Do not hesitate to contact them for all your construction needs. read more
