They did the most horrible job in making the deceased look presentable. By far the worst job I've ever seen.

Jsh wrote her a check and his own bank would not cash it. He made promise after promise and 2 months later she still did not receive the money he owes her. Long story short this company and Josh Anderson preys on families at there weakest time to benifit themselves. I would never use him or his company again and I suggest you all do research before picking a company for your family needs

Don't work or do business with J.H. Anderson. I used to work for his company and he is very shady…read more He lied and said that I was an employee when I was working for him and turned around and said that I was independent contractor and sent me a 1099 form after I had quit. The IRS has already determined in a letter that they sent to me that I was an employee for J.H. Anderson, not an independent contractor. Also, I noticed a lot of people including people that I know that have done business with J.H. Anderson have had bad experiences dealing with him including his customers who rode in his limousines, funeral customers, and former employees. Some of these complaints have been posted online. I myself had filed several complaints against him and other people I know are also taking legal action against J.H. Anderson. Avoid J.H. Anderson like the plague that he is.

Their charges for this small mistake cost him about the same price as his mortgage. In full disclosure, I previously posted a negative review about this place. The owner messaged me, and I took down the review to do more research. (Notice his comment here. Not accurate, but whatever. Notice as well that he just responded to a negative review that is years old. That tells me a lot.) That's only fair. Though I inject my opinions in every review (Isn't that what we do?), I would never offer up slanderous or libelous comments here. I'm a former award-winning journalist, and I totally believe in the truth. The truth about Welch Funeral Home is that the owner, during our texts, asked me what I considered to be reasonable for about 10 hours in his freezer and a five-mile ride to the proper funeral home. -- I gave him my answer (hourly wage, price of gas, etc.). His answer? "Slander away." (I have the screenshots for anyone who is interested or considering this business.) The bottom line: He seemed more concerned about a Yelp review than he did righting the situation. I paid the $1,500, and I can afford it. What I cannot afford is the intense stress and pain that the "Cammack Family" caused my family. As I said in my original review, they have a gross lack of empathy and integrity -- at least in our case. I knew the original owners of this funeral home. They owned empathy and integrity. Further, if there were a $1,500 mishap, they would not have spent their time requesting a phone call (such as Blake asked for from me), and they would not have spent hours arguing with family members about how they have to charge everyone the same price to pay off a freezer, such as they told my step-brother and sister in-law. The funeral business must be extremely tough ... at least for those who like and feel for people during their darkest hours. I don't get the feeling that the new Welch Funeral Home ("The Cammack Family -- Longview and Marshall") share my sentiments. Funerals are a huge decision. This place might well do a great job at preparation, services and burials. But God forbid that your 80-something year old family member accidentally send someone here for a few hours. Not only will you pay out of your pocket, but the surviving spouse will be left in unnecessary emotional despair. Shame on you, Blake -- and the "Cammack Family." Enjoy your $1,500.
