There are not enough good things that I can say about my family's experience at Rader. My father…read moresuddenly and unexpectedly passed in an accident, so none of us were mentally prepared to be planning his services just days later. What made our experience so special at Rader was the coordinator/director that we were paired with, Leward. We came to the funeral home for the first time to view my father's body and to meet with Leward about arrangements and getting paperwork signed. He was able to read the room perfectly. We were all extremely overwhelmed considering we were all in shock, but he guided us with compassion and patience. He explained every step of the process clearly and slowly. He even made us crack a smile or giggle when appropriate. He did not aggressively push any of the funeral home's services or products on us. We explained that we wanted a celebration of life at our home, and he understood and helped us determine what additional support we would need for the event. He texted us to check in on us leading up to, and even after, the celebration, and assured us that he was there if we needed anything. It was extremely special to have the support and kindness of Rader, and specifically Leward, during the most difficult time of our lives. He made the whole process simple and pleasant. My family is incredibly grateful for our experience at Rader Funeral Home and recommend it to anyone that is looking for comfort and support when a loved one passes.

He was kind, compassionate, understanding, comforting and knew just what to say. Leward put us at ease immediately. He even made us laugh a few times! Leward explained the entire process to us and helped us plan the Celebration of Life that we envisioned. He kept in contact with us to see if we needed anything, even following up after the celebration. I am very appreciative to Leward and the entire Rader team. I highly recommend Rader Funeral Home.

The crew that picked up the family were very professional and compassionate, and forthcoming with what we should expect from the funeral home. This was comforting during a time of mourning and stress. We met with director, Neal, a couple days later. He was unprofessional and was more interested in talking about himself. For example, I can tell you about his marital status, his child, his band, etc... he showed little interest in knowing about our family member. The following Monday I dropped off the check for our services, and was appalled by the manner in which they so aggressively took it and recorded it. I would have felt better feeding a starving wild animal a steak. The process of transporting our family member to another state for burial was confusing and unknown for us. We contacted Neal a couple times during this process and would have to wait for return calls, as he was rarely available. We had to deal with another funeral home in a different state which went very smoothly. They also advised that they were having difficulty getting in contact with Neal. They were readily available and willing to assist us and answer any questions or concerns we had about the process. We were able to get our family member buried by her family a couple weeks later, after what I feel like was way more effort than should have been required. Bottom line, I would recommend you go anywhere else but East Texas funeral home. Hopefully you can have a good, compassionate experience.

This place is so unprofessional. I had my husband cremated by them and every time I called to see…read moreif his remains and death certificates were ready for me to pick them up they would tell me a different lie. The lies went on for about 2 weeks. And they tried to give me a different Urn other than the one I paid for. They advertise that the cremation start at $995 but it don't, it start at $1500. They also didn't tell me they don't fill on insurance, but they only take Cash untill we had done the contract. I paid them Cash. My husband passed away on June 21,2017 and I got his remains from them on July 24,2017. This is entirely too long to be waiting. They never once apologize to me and this was very stressful for me. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I hope no one will ever have to endure what I went threw. I tried to summit this without picking a star but it want let me. So I'm going to pick 1 even though they don't deserve one.

My father was a veteran and we were told that there was some additional paperwork needed. I must add, we never received a phone call stating additional needed paperwork. Only until family members when out to visit and add flowers did we find out that he name was not on the marker. After calling and inquiring, we were told about the needed information. Once we found this out we faxed over the info and then was told the delay will be longer due to the government being shut down for 43 days. Being told today, should be resolved within the next 1-2 months before his marker is complete. The by far the worse customer service we have had to deal with and not to mention how upset our mother is. We have used this funeral home for many family members and never have had these issues. I personally have my husband there and he was a veteran!

Lakeview funeral home longview, tx My father-in-law…read more(husband's step father) passed on November 15th. His funeral was preplanned by himself and was assisted 1 year ago by my brother-in-law (at the time my mother-in-law passed). It seems this would be a contract (binding agreement by law). Since his death his estranged daughter's who have not had anything to do with him in numerous DECADES have surfaced. In Texas they have rights BUT this funeral home has continuously refused to tell us what is going on after numerous phone calls, knowing our family has already participated in these plans. Today November 22nd- there is NO obituary for my father-in-law (although it appears 7 days ago one was started and removed), information has been passed to us that his funeral will be Tuesday the 26th but no pall bearers or obituary or eulogy by family of 30+ yrs who love him and honor him. This also means no notification to many family, friends, and business associates in his life. It's like a paupers funeral....just get them in the ground. Don't plan your funeral with this business that is unprofessional and disrespects the deceased. THEY WILL NOT HONOR YOUR LOVED ONE.

He is an amazing man of faith who is incredibly personable and a true pleasure to work with. Planning a wedding is tough enough and Paster Mabry made it easy. He gave us great material help with organizing the flow if our ceremony. Reasons Paster Mabry should be your wedding officiant: 1) Genuine Warmth - From our first meeting he put us completely at ease. He took the time to get to know us in a short time. We knew when we left the meeting that we found the right officiant for our special day. 2) Affordable - When planning a wedding it's easy for the budget to spiral out of control. Sensational Ceremonies was a reasonable choice. Paster Mabry met with us for an initial meeting, attended the rehearsal & and conducted the ceremony all for an affordable price. 3) Organized - One of the choices you have to make when planning a wedding is whether the officiant will attend the rehearsal. When I contacted other officiants most didn't see the need to attend the rehearsal since they have conducted many weddings. That may be fine in some situations however we wanted to make sure that everything was a stress-free, no-brainer on wedding day. It was Paster Mabry's experience with weddings that was invaluable at the rehearsal. Having him attend the rehearsal was (next to choosing him) one of the best decisions we made. Even though we had a wedding director that conducted the rehearsal Paster Mabry gave great guidance on the ceremony. Because of this we felt very confident going into the wedding the following day. 4) Charming Person - He was a calming influence on the wedding day. Even though we had a hiccup (one of the unity candles went out) he was able to bring lite humor to the moment defusing any possible nervous tension. Additionally he took the time to get to know us well enough that everyone was comfortable. Many people commented on how much they loved the way he conducted the ceremony and because it felt very personal they also thought we had known him for a long time. Selecting Paster Mabry was one of our best decisions and Sensational Ceremonies made it easy.
