My father…read moresuddenly and unexpectedly passed in an accident, so none of us were mentally prepared to be planning his services just days later. What made our experience so special at Rader was the coordinator/director that we were paired with, Leward. We came to the funeral home for the first time to view my father's body and to meet with Leward about arrangements and getting paperwork signed. He was able to read the room perfectly. We were all extremely overwhelmed considering we were all in shock, but he guided us with compassion and patience. He explained every step of the process clearly and slowly. He even made us crack a smile or giggle when appropriate. He did not aggressively push any of the funeral home's services or products on us. We explained that we wanted a celebration of life at our home, and he understood and helped us determine what additional support we would need for the event. He texted us to check in on us leading up to, and even after, the celebration, and assured us that he was there if we needed anything. It was extremely special to have the support and kindness of Rader, and specifically Leward, during the most difficult time of our lives. He made the whole process simple and pleasant. My family is incredibly grateful for our experience at Rader Funeral Home and recommend it to anyone that is looking for comfort and support when a loved one passes.

Overall great experience! I highly recommend them!!!!…read more CON: * Wasn't easy getting an "official" quote I felt comfortable showing my employer for reimbursements. But after I made that clear, Henrietta wrote up a contract for me to use. PROS: * The guys were VERY professional and courteous. * They padded and shrink wrapped EVERYTHING. Our items were well taken care of * There was only one piece of damage and they pointed it out on the unload. A wooden leg that was already soggy had gotten worse in the hot trailer. * They stuck to their commitments with me! Timeline AND price. * They moved me from TX to OH with 1 weeks notice and was $1,000 dollars cheaper than the big moving companies * The move was dedicated. We didn't share trailer space with anyone else. CONSIDERATIONS: They not have as much presence and professionalism in terms of marketing, but give them a chance!! I have heard all sorts of horror stories about big moving companies and ICANN was as smooth as possible! I wish they had an office in OH so I could use them in the future. I don't like writing reviews but felt compelled to leave one for them! Read more: http://www.mymovingreviews.com/reviews.php?action=add&step=fillform

DO NOT USE BALLARDS!…read more After waiting THREE WEEKS for installation because of their "mechanical issues," we ended up with a completely different system than what we were promised. We paid for a concrete system with ONE riser and instead got a cheap plastic system with THREE risers. To make matters worse, the tanks had huge bold warnings printed right on the side saying: "DO NOT BACKFILL WITH CLAY." Guess what Ballards used to backfill them? CLAY. We were also told they would run NEW piping from the house to the system. That never happened. Instead, they tied into the old existing piping. We took photos of everything because at this point we don't trust the workmanship and fully expect problems down the road. And the damage to our property has been unbelievable. They completely destroyed our yard. Since installation, we've already had to spend an extra $2,000 bringing in dump truck loads of dirt because the ground keeps sinking around the tanks. We've laid 6 pallets of grass ourselves, and it feels like every single day there's another issue to deal with. We are two people in our 60s trying to fix a disaster that never should have happened in the first place because we cannot afford to hire a landscaping company to clean up THEIR mess. We were ALSO told -- TWICE -- that the washing machine drain, located only 2 feet from the grease trap they connected, would be tied into the new system. Not only did they fail to connect it, but they actually CUT the washing machine lines. Then, after creating the problem themselves, they charged us AGAIN to come back out and fix it -- on top of the original $8,600 bill! So yes, think long and hard before using Ballards. We were left with a destroyed yard, unexpected expenses, incomplete work, and absolutely no explanation of how the system even works. Now we'll see whether they even honor the maintenance agreement that was supposedly included in the price.
