Had a 10 x 15 Storage Unit that I needed contents moved 8 miles down the road. All contents were securely boxed and wrapped - so nothing movers had to do but pick up and relocate. Original quote was no more than half a day (which I thought was a stretch). They charge by the hour. They arrived at the storage unit at 10:00am. SEVEN HOURS LATER I was presented the invoice that included the time to go get a flat fixed, the hour lunch time, AND the time they spent trying to get the trailer out of the front yard after getting stuck. One star is a stretch....but the two young men that loaded and unload were nice guys. AND they called when they were on their way and were on time. ONLY positives. read more

They came recommended from the company moving us, to come pack our house up. Initially, there was great communication. They responded back the same day and set up a time to come look at the house and give us a quote. He came out on Thursday and said he would call us on Friday with a quote. Wife and I had agreed we were going to use them, just wait and hear back. Friday came and went with no call. I waited until Saturday and nothing. I emailed the guy that came out to our house. Nothing. I then emailed the owner. Nothing. On Sunday, our moving company called and I explained I had not heard back from packers. He said he would call them. A few hours later, the owner responded with an email asking if we ever heard from the worker that came to our house. The owner explained he was out of town with a sick family member. I responded back that I understood completely but would love to get the quote back and get busy since our move was happening in a couple of days. No response again, from anyone. So we decided at last minute to pack our house and get it ready in two days! Communication has been horrible. The owner seems like a good guy and I understand he has a sick family member. But this is more about his worker that came out and never responded back. It has now been 4 days and we move in 24 hours. read more

This crew just moved my mom from Longview to Tyler and were incredible with some very fragile antiques and very heavy pieces. They had to navigate around a lot of furniture and things staying in the Longview house for the estate sale and did so with ease. They're clearly experienced movers - when we unpacked, we didn't have a single item broken or damaged. In addition, they use a mid-size truck, which was needed on both ends of our move, since larger trucks couldn't navigate the roads at either home. These movers are trustworthy, quick, and friendly. They moved my furniture for a one bedroom apartment from east Texas to the DFW area for a fair price. My apartment was on the third floor and most of my furniture was going to be relocated to the second floor of a house. They did not damage any of items or anything in the house in the moving process. I sent in a quote request to them with my items and they sent me back an estimate quote quickly. As long as your up front with all your items, they will charge you the quote price. The crew is very professional and truly down to earth people. They chat a lot but it's just friendly banter. If you need to move to or from east Texas, definitely check these guys out. Our moving experience wasn't a good one. To begin with, the packers were using my comforters (expensive ones) from my bed to pack items with. Dishes were packed along with clothes, items from the bathroom were found with bedroom items etc. Tv's and paintings were covered with blankets only, not packed in boxes. Our belongings were being moved from our home to a storage building, which Cody was aware of. We asked Cody what size of building we needed and when we got to the storage building it wasn't big enough. Everything was piled to the ceiling in a 10x25 building. When we were ready to move everything from storage to our new home, we chose to use Get Moving just in case anything was damaged. After everything was unloaded in our new home we found eight pieces of furniture damaged from the move. Deep scratches in a shelf and on side table along with half of the foot on the side table was broken off. Finished rubbed off of frame on mirror, busted corner piece on dresser, and it goes on. Some of the damage we didn't notice until the following day. The damaged pieces were placed against the wall with the damaged side against the wall so we couldn't see it. When I started pointing out damage, I was told the damage looked like "old damage" to them and the scratches were on the furniture before they got there. after several conversations, we were offered $600 for the damage. We took the money, not knowing until after speaking to Cody, he would try to get damage repaired. He took three pieces with him and after almost a week we called to find out what was going on with the pieces. We were told they didn't have time to deal with the problem they had other things going on. Cody was not professional in any manner during this whole process. He still accuses us of wanting damage repaired that they didn't do. He finally said we could file damages with his insurance. We offered to give money back because we just want our furniture repaired. He said he didn't want our money. I will never recommend them to anyone. read more

I wanted to wait awhile before I submitted this review because I didn't want to be too emotional. But, I was so disappointed by the level service we received. Luckily before the truck left our house, we came back by and noticed SEVERAL items were not loaded. When we asked why, we were told that they didn't have space and something had to stay. This wasn't the response I expected since they had surveyed our home weeks before, packed our house an entire day before, were being paid to pack us up and move us 300 miles away. My husband soon noticed that his $400 saw was being left in the rain while the movers were in and out of the house. We called the office to see why our items weren't being moved and no one knew. Finally, they decided they would bring our items 5 days later once they came to our new area for another move. I was really annoyed but tried to be patient. Amongst the many issues with their packing, breaking items and the movers having a horrible attitude, I was furious to find that they had used my clothing as wrapping material to secure our items. That's right, a $300 jacket and dress was taken from my closet and wrapped around picture frames. Then I noticed that they had taken a $200 pair of bed sheets and wrapped some other items. Unfortunately, they did so and managed to get a huge hole in the sheets. Ruined! Our silverware was somehow packed away with cleaning supplies, including our toilet brushes. With all of these issues, no one offered part of our almost $3k back. My initial dealings were wonderful, but I was so disappointed to see that this was just a facade. No, we didn't submit the damages to them because, frankly, any company that will use your clothing and bedding as packing material, leave part of your items behind and never offer to make it right, is not a company willing to accept responsibility. Thoroughly, disappointed. They finally finished unloaded at midnight. Because of the noise, I had to take my son to a hotel to get rest (another expense). the timeframes and estimates given were also off. We move often for work, so we're not strangers to this process and we know what to expect. Our move 2 years ago from cross country was easier than this one. We couldn't be more pleased with Cody Yoder's G.E.T. Moving Texas for our recent move from Longview to Paris, Texas. Having a frugal mindset, we had planned a do-it-yourself move to save a little money, but that was a big mistake, as the rental company failed to have the "guaranteed" van available when we needed it. We had used Cody a few weeks earlier to move some items to an estate sale and were so pleased with him and his crew that we contacted them to see if they could also move us to Paris. They could, and they did! What would have been a very stressful and difficult move was made so easy for us. They did it all, from breaking down and setting up beds, to wrapping furniture, to fitting our entire household into their modern 32' trailer.
