Captain's Platter....huge whole belly clams, scallops, shrimp, and cod.....fries and onions rings

As good as it gets!! Huge portions of quality seafood!! Great service and atmosphere! You won't regret coming here!!!

Drive thru

The food was fresh and delicious right on time for the Lenten season. Wait time was very long, but always expected the drive-through a Challenge due to those ordering at the time of being in the drive-through, rather than just picking up their order. Substantial amounts of food. The captain's platter was enough for four people. I would definitely recommend order in advance. Don't use the drive-through to pick up..

Haddock that is actually Pollock

Ew. Literally the worst place I've been in a long time. Both toilets were backed up. Cashier wouldn't wear mask properly even when asked. Sent the chowder and littlenecks back because they were so terrible. Their "chowder" is water and potatoes. Horrid. The server couldn't have cared less. Fried "haddock" is pollock. Aside from the yellow tinge that in indicative of pollock, haddock has much smaller flakes. Either their buyer is lieing to them or they are buying a cheaper option and lieing to their customers. "Scallops" were tough and chewy with a fishy taste to them. French fries are from frozen and are served stale.

The seafood is always fresh and fried in a batter and oil than is never greasy or over fried. I had the seafood special of shrimp, haddock, scallops. Shrimp fresh and tasty. 2 decent pieces of haddock, scallops good but wish there were a couple more. French fries 3 times what I eat. Cole slaw was as good as I had here before. The young girl running counter, delivering food to tables , cleaning tables... real hardworking young girl. She had excellent exceptional people skills asking if all ok, need anything, very impressed with her ability to run everything smoothly., She definitely not not average teenager working in food industry out there... as always place has been here forever and Quality seafood and reasonable pricing under today's Brandon inflation. The young girl employee number 309168 in receipt . Owner should reward her and anyone needing a great employee .... Go hire her...

Measured at 4 inches! Its a rip. If this was a full roll of 8 " its 60 Dollars!

Have eaten here in the past a few times with no complaints. Always thought the clams, scallops and fisherman's platter were good and worth the cost. Understood fresh seafood isn't cheap on the menu and McMenamy's is as fresh as you can get. Cant say I was a regular as we used to go to Franks for fish n chips mostly sometimes clam rolls too (I heard they were shut down because they were unable to find help. Sad.) Anyways I look at the supermarket circulars and saw lobster on special at Market Basket for 12.95 lb. Thought with the summer coming prices would start to drop...Hope so cause I love lobster... Just so happens my friend had to go to Brockton tonight called me and asked if we wanted lobster rolls. Hell ya I said as I have not had one in probably a year. Man was I shocked when I saw a stunted stubby half a lobster roll. He said it was 30 bucks !!! WTF The roll measures 4" That is half a hot dog roll. CRUEL JOKE (The roll was extra thick too. Try to fill you up with bread? haha. Didn't work. I am still hungry and that fuels my discontent.) You want a lobster roll? Buy lobster yourself at the supermarket. They will steam cook it included for the same price. Google for classic or innovative ways to garnish it and make it yourself for a fraction. Personally a toasted buttered role and the cold lobster meat with mayo Thats it. BTW the French fries ice cold and soggy and we are only 7 min away. And they certainly could have provided more of them. What a huge disappointment. I guess seafood is through the roof but I don't need it prepared by a restaraunt at this cost. I may crave lobster but I will never pay 30 dollars for a 4" roll again. See picture for validation of what you get. Had I known it was this chinsy I would never have agreed to have him buy them. Oh and take the cole slaw out of the picture as with the roll you just get the soggy fries. To be fair I understand that with warming ocean temperatures lobstering has moved further north and is threatening the Maine industry. I know and respect that lobster is a huge and vital industry in Maine so I guess if some of my $30 went to help beleaguered lobstermen ok. Never again though.

First time at McMenamy Seafood in Brockton MA. i liked it. Many great selections at this family owned restaurant. When you walk in there are fresh lobsters in the troughs. I had the broiled or baked scrod with fries and cole slaw. Also added a bowl of clam chowder. The food was fresh and also very good. You order your food at the counter and they bring it to your table. Everyone was friendly and by the time we left we felt like family. If I lived in the area, this place would be one of my hang outs for a meal, great cup of.chowder or a hot cup of coffee.

I've tried a number of seafood boils around MA and Cap't Loui is definitely one of the better ones…read more We had shrimp and mussels with medium Cap't Loui sauce and lemon pepper and added garlic noodles and sausage. They sell by the half pound or pound with their prices listed on the walls in the restaurant based on their current market prices. The portions felt like a lot for what we ordered as we split about three pounds of seafood between three people and were all stuffed. The mussels were big and shrimp were very fresh and clean. The medium sauce was not too spicy and it also came with a potato and small corn on the cob. I thought their garlic noodles were not as good as I've had at other seafood boils, but they do not skimp on the garlic! The restaurant has a spacious front dining area where you enter from the mall with tables for larger parties and the back area where there are a lot of tables for smaller groups. All tables are lined with paper as you'd expect from a seafood boil restaurant and they use all plastic ware and cups. The service was relatively quick and attentive and they also give you gloves, bib, and a bucket for the shells as you eat. I recommend ordering combos as a group if you are hungry as you get free sides depending on how many pounds you order.

I usually get the Boiler Combo, which comes with free sides, and I highly recommend adding the garlic noodles. This was also my first time trying their $1 oysters on Tuesdays and the quality was great and very fresh. Definitely my favorite spot when I'm craving seafood boil.
