MCLEOD AUTO BODY @ KIRKLAND I came in on Monday just to see if it was possible to replace my front grille with a different one. I had already purchased the grille myself, so all I needed was the labor for installation. As soon as I arrived, the front staff were incredibly friendly, and a technician came out to give me an estimate. He grabbed my VIN number, did some quick research, and walked me through the labor required for the service. The entire estimate process only took a few minutes. The original quote for replacing the grille was $270, and since I'm a student, I politely asked if there was any possibility of a student discount. He immediately knocked $40 off, bringing my total to about $230, which was amazing. He was very confident and clear about the work that would be done, and they even had availability within the next two days. I came back in on Wednesday, and the process took about three to four hours. I picked up my car a little later, and the new grille looks absolutely incredible. Overall, the staff were super friendly, and I loved how close the shop is to downtown Kirkland while still being tucked away in a quieter neighborhood. The shop communicated efficiently with the at-fault's insurance company, and Katie at the front desk is magnificent, always answering the phone in a timely manner if we had any questions or followups. Mark came out to address our concerns with the paint not matching upon pick-up day, and he took it back to fix with polite can-do's, which really put us at ease. He even offered to replace the black reflector piece that got scratched (possibly during installation), and we really appreciate that gesture too. Second attempt paint match was much better, and it's like-new! They give you a paint sample for DIY touch-ups if you ever need it. My estimator, Mark, provided a detailed cost breakdown of the quote, explained the process required, and addressed any questions I had. He was very patient and knowledgeable. You arrive with low spirits after your car has been damaged, anticipating a high cost. However, Mark alleviates your fears. Also, the quote remained the same as the final bill. Swung by for a quote to get a door ding fixed and was pleasantly surprised regarding the whole process. I was given two repair method options (two different prices), which was greatly appreciated. McLeod's sent over the quote via email in a timely manner, and I scheduled an appointment soon after. I also stopped by another repair shop nearby and they only gave me the more expensive fix option. I dropped my car off during the morning of my appointment and it was ready to pick up that afternoon. Easy! I came here when My hyundai was broken into and they replaced the window as well as the steering wheel casing. I remember they were supposed to clean up some glass in the back seat but they ended up detailing the entire car which was amazing. It made the whole experience so much more worth it since that was something i've been wanting to get done. And we went through insurance so i barely had to pay for it. I have to say that this auto body shop is probably one of the best that I've seen. It is pretty high tech too. I went to the wrong building and there was no one there. I looked around confused wondering where the staff were. My initially impression was confusion like okay.. where is everyone? But then, I hear a voice broadcasted from somewhere that informed me to go to the building next door. lol. I reparked my car and saw that they had a section of their plaza dedicated to car estimates. I didn't have an appointment and just walked in. The lady took down my information. She was really pleasant and empathized with my car being damaged from a snow plow hitting my car. The guy who was doing my estimate came after waiting for 5 min. Then he brought out his tablet to take photos. He sent the estimate within 20 min. They were so fast, organized and efficient. Their prices were reasonable too. For such a modern and organized auto body shop, I was surprised that they didn't charge super expensive prices. Good job McLeod. I had my car repaired at McLeod's after an accident. My insurance wanted me to go to a "preferred" auto repair shop and they were a month out for just an estimate. A friend told me about McLeod's and I had an estimate in hand within a day. The whole experience was so easy and stress-free. Communication was great, my body repair was completed as promised and they went the extra mile and washed the exterior, vacuumed and wiped down the interior (it was a bit dusty when I brought it in). My rating is solely based on my interaction and inability to get my car repaired. My disclaimer is that my car was not serviced or repaired due to the fact McLeod said they couldn't even look at my car until mid Jan 2018. I took my car in on 12/11/2017 to get estimate and repair due to damages caused by someone. Their response "Do you have an appointment? Because if you don't have an appointment we can't even look at your car until Mid Jan 2018." I have never ever been to a body shop where you have to make an appointment to get an estimate or repair. I didn't expect them to see and fix my car on the same day however isn't that how body shops work? It's not like I knew I was going to get into an accident and needed bodywork done to make an appointment. Took my business elsewhere. Only reason I attempted to go to McLeod was because of the high Yelp rating and recommendations. They did ask me multiple times if my car was drivable. Maybe they were concerned or wondering how I would be able to remove my car from their lot. Not too impressed. read more

I bought a brand new 2019 Toyota Tacoma Limited truck. Two weeks after buying it, an idiot T-Boned me on my passenger side and took off. So I had to make an insurance claim and start doing my research on which body shop I was going to have do the repair. Unfortunately, most repair shops suck and do horrible work. I searched and searched on the internet and on Yelp when I ran across McLeod's. I couldn't believe how great of a rating they gotten from all of there customers. So I went down and got an estimate and got the ball rolling to have them repair the damage. I wasn't able to get my truck into there shop for 2.5months but I was willing to wait. Finally the day came to get my truck repaired. I took it in and dropped it off. I was originally told when I took it in that it would only take one week. One week went by without any phone call, so I phoned them to find out if it was going to be ready. They told me it was going to take three weeks to get it done. Three weeks went by so I called again to find out when I'll be able to get my truck back, they said they were waiting on parts. Thankfully- it was finally ready for pick. When I got there at 5:30pm I thoroughly looked over my whole truck and noticed a huge defect. The spray texture they applied at the bottom of the bed and back door didn't match the front door at all, plus it was yellow not white like the color of my truck and they over sprayed my door jamb. I pointed the problem to Gary and he agreed that it didn't look correct. So I made an appointment to bring it back to have them fix it correctly at their cost. When I got home I noticed that my whole truck was over sprayed from them painting the passenger side. Now, I'm totally pissed off!!! I had to clay my whole truck three times to remove all of the overspray. I even had my other half and a few other people rub there hands all over my truck so they could feel how bad it was. At this point I have lost all trust in McLeod's auto body!! And there is NO WAY I was having them touch my brand new truck ever again!! I've had many people ask me why the bottom of my truck was yellow. So I tell everyone that McLeods did it and had the nerve to tell me my truck was done. I would appreciate if the owner of this establishment would contact me to discuss all of My concerns. I'm posting pictures to show everyone what I'm talking. Regarding Mark the owner of McLeods Auto Body's comment Does your company ever do quality control before giving vehicles back to customers???? Because this wouldn't of happened at all if your company did! And yes Gary did say he would correct all of the problem, but that would of meant leaving my truck at your facility for a few days and that wasn't going to happen when I've already been without my truck for three whole weeks. Once a company screws up as badly as your guys did, I will never trust your company ever again!!!!!!!!!!! I'm just shocked that all body shops suck now days. Their 5 star rating is absolutey deserved. I did not think a business like this existed in 2018. The level of customer service displayed here cannot be found even in some luxury restaurants and hotels. One would not expect this level of customer service, professionalism, communication and execution of their craft from an auto body shop. But here's McLeod, just killing it. Seriously blown away. We had an unfortunate incident backing out of a garage with our 2013 Subaru Forrester striking a pillar. Pulled forward and half the rear bumper was hanging off. It sucks yes, but it's just a car. Duct taped that badboy up the best I could and went on our way. Knowing rain is around the corner, that tape won't last too long and if the bumper falls off, it could cause an accident. We had to eat the costs and get it fixed before something worse happened. We had an estimate from one other place and not only did McLeod beat their estimate, they could do it more quickly. But the best MOST CONVENIENT service they provided was with their connection with Honda of Kirkland. They had someone drive over a rental car to US. We didn't have to go anywhere or do anything. And it was brand new. Beautiful Honda CRV. We only needed it for a little over 24 hours as they repaired our car. My son was actually sad to not keep the CRV. Long story short, fantastic experience. The rental car service they provide here cannot be overstated. It made our life so much easier and we have our car back with a brand new, better than before bumper. On top of that, the car was washed and the interior vacuumed! With the 4 year olds food mess everywhere and all! McLeod's Auto Body has a winning formula. I hope we don't have any fender benders in the future, but knowing McLeod's Auto Body exists, will make it not sting as much. read more

Fender Bender - McLeod to rescue! My first tiny accident and I had a huge dent on my vehicle. Bumper replacement seemed eminent and being a Yelp fan, came over to McLeod for a quote. I asked for 2 different quotes, one where I could get my car fixed with minimum work in case I wished not to engage my insurance and second the best way out with maximum work and get my car better like before! ... Mark gladly accepted and presented me with both the quotes and also took time in clearly explaining what was being done, how it will be done and in how many days. When my insurance guy told that I could go to any Repair shop, I gladly parked my vehicle at McLeod. The owner explained me how the entire process works and answered all my queries patiently. They also got me a good rental car deal from Enterprise. Mark did his magic and I felt my car looked new than before!... All new parts when my insurance was hell bent on refurbished parts... I can not say enough great things about McLeod Auto Body in Kirkland. I have taken two cars to this location, one insurance claim and one personal, and both times, the staff and repairs have exceeded expectations. Recently, I went to McLeod for repairs of a minor/ moderate dent on my car door. I went to two other body shops who both claimed the entire door would need replaced, with prices ranging from $700 to $1,000. These other two shops both assured me there is no way a moderate fix could be done to make it even just look better. A paint less dent repair wizard claimed he could make it look better for $100, but that it would only be 90% better and no promises. I went to McLeod after my first great experience and also being they are located walking distance from my apartment. The staff again excelled at all they do! The total repair for my car was under $90.00. They were able to remove the door and "push" the door back into place from the outside. They then also went above and beyond and cleaned up minor paint scarps from the door (which the $700+ companies both very clearly stated they would not do) and made the door look almost brand new. Granted, the bottom has some signs of damage but you have to be looking for it and looking hard. I was told up front it would only look better and explained why (completely understandable), but the end results were way beyond my expectations and I am 100% happy with the work. I can assure anyone reading this in need of auto body work, McLeod Auto Body will treat you right and charge you a very fair price. Please do not take your vehicle to this shop for repair. The shop will not advocate with the customers to use OEM parts with your insurance company. I would recommend metro auto rebuilt if you own an European vehicle. This shop will only use OEM parts for your vehicle. Update: Hi Mark, I never received a call from you. You must not have a correct contact number from me. My only contention is that other shop would go to bat for their customer and would advocate for OEM parts. After talking to your company estimator, I was left with the impression that I am responsible for working with the insurance company to request OEM parts. I honestly believed that is the responsibility of a good reputable shop to advocate for their customers. read more

Their estimate wasn't the cheapest nor the most expensive, but I felt confident leaving my truck in their capable hands. I was startled to get a call the other day that my truck was done and ready for pick up. They were ten days earlier than estimated - unheard of, in my experience, especially with body shops as overwhelmed as they all seem to be since Covid-19 due to worker shortage and supply chain issues. Someone had tried to pry the window off my car, and ended up damaging the quarter panel area. I brought it in, they cleaned the broken glass, fixed, and painted the damaged portion of the panel. It looks as if nothing had ever happened. In addition, since they already had to do some paint work, I asked for some extra out-of-pocket repairs, which all were taken care of perfectly. If I need more auto body work, I won't hesitate to return. They treat their customers well and were perfectly happy to answer all of my questions. read more

Based on how my vehicle turned out, I'd say they are the best in more than just Washington. I'm so thankful I went with this shop. They are masters at project management, and people in there really know their stuff. The results show that my vehicle was handled with a lot of consideration, and I very deeply appreciate that. The paint color match is a work of art in varying lights, and it took me days to find the smallest, hardly noticeable difference in the sparkle pattern. Even then, I think I only found it because I knew where to look for it. I still admire how perfect the color match is. It's been a while since my car was fixed, so this review was a bit overdue. But I literally cannot say enough about McLeod! If you want somebody to care, come here. If you want them to actually make you feel like you matter, come here. We were rear ended in August, and we are still dealing with it even now in January. But my car is back with me, and it is so so good looking. I really wasn't sure if it could be saved even; and they have done such a fantastic job. McLeod II took care of us and then some. I had wonderful communication all throughout the process with McLeod. Even when the insurance company wouldn't talk with me, and gave me sketch weird silences, McLeod was there for me. I'm sure we had an unusual experience, are still having an unusual experience rather, but McLeod was really there for us and helped make all of it better. My wife scratched the bumper against the garage door frame. I pulled the car in for an estimate. The estimator used a cloth and a bottle of lacquer to completely wipe the scratch off! As the scratch looked so bad, they could easily ask for a few hundred bucks and I would pay for it, but they didn't. What a honest business!
