I have a very hard-working body and generally poor posture, and her work makes a noticeable difference. After every session I feel better for days--sometimes even longer--both physically and emotionally. I leave feeling more capable, balanced, and comfortable in my body. It is also very important to point out that Christina has an incredible ability to meet me exactly where I am each time I come in. Some days I need a quiet, restorative session, and other times we chat about life while she works through all the tension I carry. She always adapts effortlessly to what I need that day. That is not an intuitive skill that every provider possesses. On top of her skill, Christina is consistently pleasant, positive, and welcoming. Her presence alone makes the treatment a full experience. If you're looking for a massage therapist who truly listens to your body and delivers lasting results, you couldn't do better than Christina. I should also mention that I consistently refer to Christina as a therapist for many of my pregnant clients. As a doula I trust her to provide heart centered affirming safe care to pregnant people. I have heard nothing but rave reviews in the many years I have been recommending her.

My labor really did a number on me, and having Christina come to my home made it even more special. She showed up with a hot coffee in hand and such a caring energy. It felt nurturing in every sense. Plus, I was happy to have gotten an appointment the same morning that I called for one. When I arrived, I first filled out an intake form in a comfortable seating area lit by natural light and talked to her about why I was there. She listened carefully, asked what I felt were the right questions, and gave helpful and empathetic input. The (heated) massage table was in a space to the side with ambient lighting. I got a relaxation massage, and it was wonderful; she knew when to go more lightly and when to give more pressure. And as a plus, I loved the lotion she used too; it wasn't as oily as others are and had a really soothing (but not overpowering) scent. Sometimes massage therapists are too clinical or too talkative or don't seem to have much intuition about things. Sometimes the background music is bleh or there is just something indistinct about the experience that disappoints me. But none of these things were true about Alisa or about my experience at the Caring Hands studio. If I wasn't moving away I think I would make regular appointments with her! I also love the idea of getting reiki or a massage-reiki combo that's available at Caring Hands through another practitioner.
