WARNING! PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH!…read more I never imagined I'd be writing a review like this, but I feel a responsibility to share what happened to me at Indulgence Med Spa so that no woman ever goes through what I had to. I went in for (what should have been) a routine laser hair removal appointment. Instead, within hours, my legs were burning, blistering, scabbing, itching, and there was raw skin exposed. I was in agonizing pain with severe, second-degree burns all over my legs. I'd like to preface with the fact I had gone to get 10 laser hair removal sessions at multiple different med spas before this incident, without ever facing any issues. I also do not have "sensitive" skin. After seeing my legs after the incident for the first time, the laser technician immediately started crying in front of me and looked mortified. She referred me to the owner, Anu, who also teared up and said she couldn't imagine something like this happening to her daughter. I thought they had empathy, but unfortunately, I was wrong. As an insincere apology, the spa offered me some ointment, red light therapy for the intense scarring, and other services from the med spa - but the reality was that I was the one dealing with the physical damage, the emotional toll, and the financial burden of trying to heal. Not to mention this forced me to commute back into the med spa, incur additional transportation costs, use PTO, and constantly be reminded of the incident. I had to beg for weeks to get a simple refund on the appointment, to the point my mother had to get involved because she was so livid with their lack of accountability. They gaslit me for months, saying "it will be better in two weeks", "it will be healed in a month", "it will be gone next time you come in". It is almost two years (and thousands of dollars) later and I am still not fully healed. The laser technician was undertrained. The laser machine ran out of coolant and beeped the entire appointment, but she still continued my treatment. I was told that the technician who performed the treatment had been let go, but I later learned from others that she was still working there. I even saw her there myself when I came in for a rescheduled red-light appointment, which confirmed they were lying about letting her go and just scheduling her when I wasn't coming in. The months that followed were some of the hardest I've experienced physically and emotionally. I spent thousands of dollars out of pocket on dermatology visits, prescription creams, healing products, and treatments trying to repair the damage. I am not someone who cries easily, but for months I cried every single day. Every time I looked in the mirror or caught a glimpse of my legs. When I thought about the possibility of these scars being here on my wedding day. One day at the gym, someone I didn't know asked me if I was a burn victim. I can't describe how humiliating that felt. This led to further expenses, as I had to buy more clothing to cover my legs due to insecurity and embarassment. I looked into some of their other reviews, and unfortunately, it seems like this has happened to a lot of people - not just me. This entire experience left me feeling drained, embarrassed, and ignored. A cosmetic treatment that was supposed to improve my confidence instead left me dealing with over a year physical healing and emotional distress. There are so many great, ethical med spas in the area run by trustworthy staff. Please do your research and give one of them the business instead.

Katie is a phenomenal masseuse! But.... Because we were both having our treatments with Katie, we each had to sit and wait for an hour. Would have been fine if we were offered a drink or at least smiled at. The waiting area leaves much to be desired. Right by the door makes it FREEZING while you wait (if you go in the winter). Music is way too loud and not at all spa-ish. And employees bitching about having to work on a Saturday, having clients cancel, and taking 15 smoke breaks in the hour that I was sitting and waiting was (a) not impressive, (b) really smelly, and (c) really unprofessional. Overall, a so-so experience, but the reason for going was the spa treatment and it was amazing, so 4 stars.

It's not like any other medspa I have ever been to. I have had facial laser hair removal before at a couple of different places. I can't comment on their other services but I know I will be back for Botox. The facility is brand new and they have it set up as an upscale relaxation retreat. It's wonderful. The 2 staff members I met, Rachel and Rebecca, were the real deal. They know every offering inside and out and unlike other spas, they're not over selling and fake or like some other "in and out" assembly line cold feeling office. They were genuine and I feel like I can trust them and that they actually care about my progress. If you know laser hair removal. It does grow back if you don't maintain it or if your body has drastic changes. I hadn't maintained and gained a little weight. Rebecca took me right back to the laser room. The laser is BRAND NEW by the way. It was as expected but also very nice that she didn't have standard responses to how the procedure goes. Rebecca and Rachel really treat the individuals needs. Cost wise. Hands down on the lower end of price. I paid $125 for men's facial laser hair removal. Botox I think she said is $12 a unit. Or close to $200 for my forehead and between the brows(I haven't done it yet but I feel comfortable having this place be my first go at it) I would recommend 100% and will be back.

I've been thinking about signing up because the prices are great for the time you get there. 2. Location - I'm used to driving into Boston for a massage and it is nice to have something close with parking! 3. Staff - everyone here is super friendly and professional. 4. Atmosphere - relaxing and seems very clean. The reason why I'm taking a star off: I think the quality of your time here depends on who you get. The first time I came, it was AMAZING. Loved the massage I got (wish I could remember her name now) and that's what prompted me to come a second time. The second time I came for a 90 min massage, I was so DISAPPOINTED! I had a different person (Michael). While he was super sweet, here were my issues: 1. We started late because of room set up issues. Neither of our fault but he docked me for it! He should have given me the full time allotted. 2. He massaged only those areas that I said I have issues with. Now usually, I get a full body massage with extra focus on the areas I called out. Didn't realize he was literally gonna skip over everything else. 3. Massage technique was not good. Now I'm no massage therapist but it literally just felt like he was smearing the lotion onto me. He did good in a couple spots but the rest I felt like he was just lazily pressing with his fingers. Not much of a rub down at all. He asked me quite a few times if it was ok but I really didn't know how to tell him to improve so I just went with it. I just wanted to be rubbed down, not pressed on. 4. He skipped over a ton of spots. For example, massaged the out side of my calves, but what about the back of my calves and the inner side of my leg? Or he massaged the bottom of my feet but what about the top part of my feet? Massaged my lower arm but skipped the top part of my arm. Weird. All in all, despite the last experience I would still go back but I would be particular about who I get next time. Management - if you read this, please reach out to me. I'm still bummed that I paid for such a lousy experience this second time around.
