I can't say enough good things about Ashley and Serenity Massage!! I have been seeing her since October'23 and I have been to other massage places and they were good but when I say Ashley and her bag of tricks have made a HUGE difference in helping me through my accident recovery. I chose Ashley because she did Graston, Cupping, Myofascial Release, Deep tissue and other techniques. I explained what was wrong and it's amazing how well I can move!! I went in once and had a pain in my left bicep and she did something on my right side and the pain was gone. As for Deep tissue, I can say I have never wanted to tap out from the pain in a calf muscle and I'm so glad I didn't- that girl knows her stuff!! I don't question her ability as she's has been doing it for 14 years. When I go to my appointment, I am asked how things are going and what is bothering me and I let her work her magic knowing that I'm in "Good hands". I love that Serenity has online booking. I understand why some places don't, but it saves so much time to be able to see if a place has open spots right away, especially for something last minute. Yesterday, on a whim, I decided to go get a massage. I have been working out a lot lately and just completed a race the day before and wanted to do something nice and relaxing for my body. Molly worked on me and it was one of the best massages I have ever had. I like medium to hard pressure and she delivered using her forearms and elbows and really working out the knots in my back with her fingers. She was really thorough and I had knots in places I didn't even know about. I especially liked the work on my neck, head and face, which not every one does. The work on my hip and upper glute area was also amazing. If you're looking for something super fancy and/or a pampering spa environment, this is not the place, but if you are looking for a nice, clean and relaxing place to get a really quality massage, go to Serenity and definitely book with Molly. Went today after buying a groupon for half price one hour massage of my choice. Amazzzzzzzzing! I would have paid another full price for just a half hour more. I have a very strenuous job with great physical demand and this massage was just what I needed. The decor is adorable! I immediately felt relaxed just walking in the door. I guess my only complaint would be the two women working were talking about scheduling and didn't always acknowledge a customer being there, however, the massage more than made up for it! The prices are more than a chain massage parlor (elements, etc.) but not by much and the ambiance and setting are much, much more relaxing. I had an amazing experience at Serenity. The atmosphere is calming and welcoming. I used the online system to book my massage and it worked seamlessly. Seren was incredibly pleasant and professional. She made me feel very comfortable. We had a very short conversation and then she got started. It was the best massage I have ever had. I had some bad knots in my back and some pain in my neck. Seren found these areas and worked them very thoroughly. She was able to apply a great deal of pressure and was able to help me greatly. First of all, I love any place that has online booking. I had a massage with Caitlin, and she was wonderful. I got a fantastic full-body massage with just the right amount of pressure. When she hit a sensitive spot, she worked through the discomfort without causing pain. She asked me about any places I wanted to focus on or avoid before the appointment, and she tailored the massage to my needs. The reception area and massage room were clean and calming, with relaxing dimmed lighting and gentle music. I visited on a cold winter day, and they had a heated pad on the table so I was perfectly warm during the massage. I'm very sensitive to scented things like lotions and candles, and the lotions were mild and pleasant. I recently had my first ever massage here, with Ashley. She was very helpful in both choosing the right massage for me when I called to set up an appointment, as well as explaining the entire process and what to expect when I was there. Though I do not have anything to compare to, my massage was great. I was slightly afraid that they would use super-smelling oils, but whatever was used did not have a strong fragrance and left my skin great. I will definitely be back again. I had the absolute best massage ever at Serenity. I had a Groupon for a massage and I chose the hot stone. Bethany worked on me and gave me a mix of a deep tissue and hot stone massage. I was extremely stressed out from work and had a lot of knots. She worked them all out and I felt like a new person when I left. I've been back for a second hot stone massage and it was just as great as the first. I want to go back yet again for a massage technique with water motions that Bethany learned while in Hawaii. Caitlin goes above and beyond to make you comfortable! I have had many massages before, but this was my first prenatal! I'm 21 weeks along and was a little nervous not knowing really what to expect during a prenatal massage, how I would be laying down, etc. ( im also a nervous first time momma ) From the moment Caitlin welcomed me into the room i felt at ease. She kindly told me how to lay and when to switch positions. I was comfortable the whole time, starting propped up with a few pillows, then to one side and the other with a bunch of bolsters/pillows to always have me comfortable! I got a 90 minute session and highly reccomend that, I could have stayed there all day! She applied the perfect amount of pressure, allowing me to feel the knots becoming looser and aches and pains fading away, while still being super gentle. This was the most relaxed I have been the whole pregnancy, and will definatley save up to go back in a couple months! Thank you Caitlin! read more

Serenity Massage is one of my new favorite places. Molly does excellent work. She definitely knows what she's doing. I had a lot of knots today and when she started working on them, I would tense up. But, she knew how to relax me enough so she could work on them. She has a magic touch. When I went in today, I had every intention of making my next appointment for two months away. I called and emailed several times to schedule an appointment before the Groupon expired (which it did today) and when someone FINALLY got back to me I was told that they had no appointments availablefor me to use my Groupon and that I could put the money that I spent towards a full-priced massage which I refuse to do. I purchased a Groupon for Serenity Massage last year around this time and had one of the best deep tissue massages I have ever had. I was motivated to write this review after recently having a deep tissue massage at a place closer to my home, which was just OK. I usually find that most deep tissue massages aren't deep enough for the knots in my back, but Ed @ Serenity Massage was very thorough with addressing any concerns, and finding out how much pressure to apply. My friend went with me and raved about her therapist as well (unfortunately, I can't remember her name). Everything from start to finish was perfect - relaxing atmosphere, impeccable customer service. They made us feel welcome and never rushed us out after our appointments. The only reason I haven't been back is because it's about a 35 minute drive from where I live...but since I have been unsuccessful in finding a place as good as Serenity, I will be back soon! read more

I went there the first time and the deep tissue massage was great. Caitlin was intuitive and worked out the knots in my neck & shoulders. The place is calm and serene and the overall atmosphere was great. I took away one star as I heard the microwave bell a few times and then there were a couple of times I heard a door slam. I tried this place out in the fall because I had a Groupon. I booked a sports massage with Caitlin and it was wonderful. She did a great job and got me nice and loose for the half marathon I was doing on the following day. I should also note that I really wasn't too sore after the race, and I think this had a lot to do with the pre-race massage from Caitlin! I just went back again and booked a deep tissue massage with Caitlin and once again she did an excellent job. She totally got the knots worked out of my neck/shoulder, I felt so much better after that! I will definitely be returning here for future massages. I live in Lowell and have tried a few different in the area places for and haven't had nearly as good results with the others as I had at Serenity Massage. read more

I would not come back for another one as I've experienced better. I was so cold the whole time being in a room. The woman who was performing the massage for me was sniffling the whole time and it made me feel bad that she had to give me a massage when she's the one that needed it more.
