Been having my nails done for over 15 years! After a very very long search for a salon in the area that uses the TAP Gel products, (in my opinion, TAP is the best gel product around, lasts longer and doesn't hurt my natural nail) I finally found Passion Nails. Made an appointment with Ivy, and she did a fabulous job!! The salon itself is big bright and welcoming! Buzzing with loads of clients and enough room for 16 pedicures at a time! Thought i would try a new place to me as its not far away. I should have read the reviews on here first. Bad decision on my part. It's a factory. They literally used a walkie talkie to get me a technician as i went to a pedicure chair. Went for gel pedicure and dip french manicure. "MY" did the pedicure and Tina did my manicure. One was doing my feet at the same time as the other started my hands. As you can see paint on my skin and feet. When she put the alcohol on my big toe it bunt so there's a cut. Hopefully i don't get an infection. For the dip they don't use the pour over method. They dip your nail in the container, again not the best for hygiene. Nails on hand clipped too short and dip thick. She offered to fix baby toe but i declined at that point i was done. . $62 for manicure and $62 for pedicure. I definitely didn't get what i paid for. The service was awful. I walked in and they sat me down, disregarded my appointment and put me with a random person. When I asked them why they told me I would have to wait. They gave me the wrong color, and the top coat turned yellow after two days. When I contacted them, they said it was because of hair dye or cleaning products, which I did not use hair dye or any crazy cleaning products in the span of this two days. I felt a serious burning on my leg. I was alarmed and asked what just happened. Initially the wound was oozing, red... shockingly I was gaslighted by the nail techs who said I had scratched myself. I saw urgent care on 1/8 the day it happened and a dermatologist on 1/14. It was two medical opinions that the wound appears to be a chemical burn. It has been twelve days and I am still upset. I was a client for years, I will never go back. It was the gaslighting by the nail techs, not knowing what actually happened and the knowledge that I will mostly likely have a scar that I share my experience with you. read more

It was my first time in as a walk in today and I had Kelly. She was SO KIND!!! Very careful with my nails and cuticles and checked in with me throughout the appointment. She was time efficient but I didn't feel rushed at all- so grateful I had her as my nail tech definitely requesting her again when I come back!!! These are my natural nails and thanks to Mia and Son, they always look 10/10. If I ever have an issue/ something breaks, they are very accommodating. Whenever I don't know what I want, they help me. Got a dip mani there. They nearly took off my entire nail bed with the buffing tool. I now have deep divets in my nails. Typical production line manicure place. Cheap furniture - my chair had a wobbly leg. Customers crammed in practically on top of each other. I could see the dribbles of something that had spilled running down the cabinet opposite my seat and the station wear they melted wax looked gross. I couldn't wait to get out of there. read more

She takes the time to get to know your likes and dislikes and makes suggestion based off of that. She always does a great job on my nails and if there are any imperfections she noticed them before I do and fixes them without being asked to. UPDATE: The owner called me after my appointment and asked me to come in so that they could fix my nails for me! I was really surprised because a lot of businesses don't care about feedback or customer issues. Passion is obviously not like most other businesses, because their customer service is top tier. The owner booked me for another appointment right away, and I was assigned to Sue. Sue did an AMAZING job, and she was very deliberate and careful with all of her work. Watching her do my nails was almost a luxurious experience! I'll definitely be asking for Sue next time I come. They didn't charge me a single dime to get my nails redone, but I still made sure to tip Sue $20. It's so important to ALWAYS tip, even if the service was free! Anyways, my nails look so pretty now, even my boyfriend commented on how nice they look. Aside from the amazing job, I'm in awe of how great their customer service is and how much the owner cares about putting out good work. They even offered to redo my pedicure for free, even though my main issue was really with my manicure. I declined, because my toes looked fine, but I was happily surprised at how prepared they were to make everything perfect. I'm really happy that Passion was wonderful enough to contact me and work so hard to remediate the situation, which is why this salon outranks all the other ones in the area. Five stars for Passion! This salon is one of my friend's go-to places, and she insisted that I join her. I gave this place a few tries for dip powder with three different technicians, but I ultimately decided not to return. Many people in Google reviews had spoken highly of this salon, and I was eager to share their opinions, but it simply didn't meet my expectations. During my first visit, the technician did a poor job on my nails. I'm very meticulous about the shape, but they turned out crooked, the color application was subpar, and I left feeling very unsatisfied. Unfortunately, due to my busy schedule, I couldn't find time to return for fixes or a redo. So, I decided to give it another chance on a second visit, requesting a different technician. The second technician did a good job with the shape and color, but her demeanor felt somewhat cold, and she didn't make me feel very welcome. When I pointed out issues with my nails, like asking for a shape fix, she appeared annoyed and was rough in handling my hand, which left an odd impression. Though I left unhappy once again, I decided to come back one last time, once more requesting a different technician. The third technician was much warmer and skilled, making me feel more welcome. However, she pointed out that my nails had been filed too thin in previous visits, which was unusual for me. Upon reflecting, I realized that, in fact, the last two technicians at Passion Nails filed them excessively to remove dip powder, to the point where they would burn, which has never happened at other salons (usually, technicians at other salons file them just to remove the top coat and then soak them in a special solution, and I've never had any issues; my nails actually always felt strong). At this point, I decided to return to my old salon, where I never leave dissatisfied. Their service is consistently excellent, and I enjoy the welcoming atmosphere. I was a regular customer years ago at the old location and it was always wonderful. My last visit for a pedicure was underwhelming and problematic. First of all, the massage was mediocre at best and just felt like I was having lotion slathered on and lacked any actual "massage." The polish seemed old and gummy and was not drying properly so they had to repolish. But the real issue is with the final application. You can see how terrible the application is in the photo, it looks like I have 2 week regrowth as it does not even go anywhere close to the cuticle. Not to mention the skin around my toe is red, inflamed and looks infected. I was on my last week of maternity leave and decided to treat myself to a pedicure before returning to work. This was my first time at this salon after a few people from the area recommended it. What a nightmare. As you can see in the pictures I asked for cheetah print and the next picture is what they did . The woman who did my nails was very nice but it was obvious she didn't know how to do designs. She was walking around asking the other techs how and no one wanted to help her. One even said "Good luck". I asked for the spa pedicure which is supposed to come with hot stones but they never did that. To top it off the woman next to me was complaining about her nails and that nail tech was yelling at her saying it was her fault, I couldn't believe it. I've never been to a place like this. Their high prices don't match their services what so ever. I still tipped over 20% because she spent a good amount of time with me but definitely won't be returning. I went here over my regular nail salon because a friend said this salon gave these unbelievable pedicures, you get a 40 minute foot and leg massage and she was a new customer so I took her word for it. Never again after spending $190 between the $80 pedicure plus add the 10 year old gel polish that I paid an additional $15 for that she literally put 6 coats on of just color now I have bumps and ridges in the polish on my pedicure. But then I had a new set of acrylics WHAT AN ABSOLUTE JOKE! First she's doing my nails at the pedicure chair where I'm paying good money to close my eyes trying to RELAX, but then this tech is having me twist my opposite arm to the other side while she tries to do her job and let's say that all my nails are CROOKED, SOME SIDES SQUARED AND OTHERS ROUNDED, SOME NAILS LONGER THAN THE OTHERS ON THE OPPOSITE HAND! Not too mention again the 10 year old GEL POLISH AND I CHOSE A DIFFERENT COLOR BECAUSE THE BLUE I CHOSE FOR MY TOES LOOKED AND LOOKS RIDICULOUS!!! NOW I HAVE BABY PINK NAILS LOOKING THE SAME. The place was nice and clean. However, both my pedicure and manicure are terrible. I have paint on my skin from my pedicure and missed spots on my nail. I got a full set acrylic with gel polish. I asked for a simple flower design and they could not do it. When I asked them to restart the manager was rude. I got just a plain color on my nails. You can see through the paint to my nail. They are also very misshaped and crooked. I am very unhappy and now going to a different salon to have them removed and redone. read more

Gel manicure review I've gotten my nails done in quite a few places in the North Andover area and this is the best place that I have found. I went for the first time earlier this year in the summer and they shaped my nails perfectly (almond nails) and the polish application was good as well. The only con I would say is the gel polish selection is lacking but if you're into dip nails they have a better selection for that! (7/12/2019 Done by Anna and Yen) Got dip here for the first time and I fell in love, they are on the pricey side ($45) but I felt it was so worth it bc how good they came out. And they last longer so you don't have to get them done as often. (1/5/2020 Done by Andy) UPDATE: I waited a month to get my nails done to justify the price of dip and I didn't realize this last time bc my cuticles weren't bad that they don't cut your cuticles for dip. Was in the area for a wedding event and wife needed to get her nails done. The owner was more than happy to squeeze us in and the service was excellent! They have hand washing stations, individual towels to dry and a nail tech that caters to your needs. She got a pedicure and was offered complementary beverages and snacks!(I guess they were celebrating something that day). While waiting, I got a foot massage one their brand new automatic massage chair. Was a great experience and the wifey was happy. The atmosphere was very relaxing and soothing. my first visit here was pleasant, so I continued to book at passion nails & spa for a few more appts. the team is large and whenever you do go in with a scheduled appt, they offer the option to do your nails with anyone that is available (possibly due to the scheduled nail tech still being busy with another customer). my first dip with tips appt dried too thick and the product underneath did not cure properly. due to the discomfort I scheduled to just get a regular manicure. the removal was extremely rushed, and the nail tech that finished my manicure ended up filing off too much of my nail barrier. definitely be more knowledgeable with what kind of service you want / trust that you schedule with a skilled nail tech. read more

I started going there to get my nails and toes done because the salon that I've been going to for 10 years just didn't have any interest anymore and didn't know any new techniques. I was more than thrilled starting on the first visit with the service that I had. Mark, who is the nail technician that I constantly book, creates some magnificent designs on my nails and there is constant admirers in the designs from other patrons that are there as well! The salon itself is extremely clean, has wonderful relaxing music, and the management team is extremely friendly. First, I would like to say that the salon look itself was very nice. I had an appointment today and I arrived about 15 minutes early and I was seen immediately. The staff was very nice. I had dip removal with a gel manicure. I will say that this was the fastest nail service I have ever had(approx. 30 minutes). Throughout the whole process my nail tech asked if I liked what she was doing, which I really appreciated. However, I will say I am really disappointed on the overall quality of my nails. It has only been about 9 hours since my appointment and the gel is already lifting. Four nails have the gel completely lifting off. And the others aren't looking their best. It's sad to see that these nails could not even last a full day. I am not new to gel manicures. Usually my nails last for 3+ weeks with no issue. I have not reached out to the salon due to the fact that this salon is farther than I would like and I have no time to go in for a fix. This salon came highly recommended from other people. If this salon was closer to where I lived then I would possibly try and go back but I will just count my lost. read more

After a long weekend of working, standing on my feet with heels, a much needed pedi and massage, and a cry for help on Instagram lol - Passion Nails and Spa was recommended to me by a friend of mine. North Andover isn't exactly right next door, but I was assured the drive would be worth it. Guess what? My friend was right. The staff is extremely professional and communicates well. My sister and I were greeted immediately after walking in, super welcoming. Although they were busy, they were still able to free up 2 pedi chairs without us calling ahead of time. We waited no longer than 3 minutes. I had the pleasure of having Son work on my gel spa pedi. He's SUCH a pleasure (and a lovely singer)! :) Son educated me on an oil to use to repair a troublesome nail of mine and made me feel extremely comfortable. Everything was nicely sanitized, my massage was fantastic and their prices are reasonable. It's difficult to find this attention to detail and cleanliness at this price at other salons. I've hit the jackpot with this salon. I'm usually very picky about my pedicures, but I think this is now my go-to place! My feet feel fantastic and my toes look super cute and ready for the summer. Also - big bonus for them not making me feel pressured for getting my manicure done at another salon. I was up front and told them I did not like the pedis at the other place. The level of professionalism for staying focused on what I wanted is such a relief, I love not feeling pressured. I will definitely come back to visit Son in a few weeks. And yes - they do only accept cash, but they're not the only salon that does this. It's always good to have cash on hand to be able to tip your nail tech! Always tip those who provide a service! Passion has always been my go to place for pedicures, but I've just received my second sub-par pedicure. I stayed under the dryer to let my nails dry for 15 minutes, but once I left, I noticed that the polish was all bumpy, like too much polish had been applied. It's now an hour and a half later and the polish is still not completely dry. I will find another spa for my next appointment. read more
