I went to Tran Tran for the first time for a Dazzle Dry mani. Snow did a very nice job trimming & shaping my nails and trimming cuticles. I thought she did a good job with the polish too unfortunately it started lifting & peeling after only a few days.Very disappointing considering it was $35 service plus tip. I've learned that special training is needed for Dazzle Dry. If not done correctly it won't last and mine certainly didn't! I won't be doing back. read more

I was very happy with my experience here. The owner did my nails and was careful to be gentle when cutting my cuticles because I had mentioned that I had a very tender one from a hangnail. She did a very good job with making me feel that my nails were cleaned up but not to the point where any were painful or over filed after. She was very good with customer service and overall very kind. The place was very busy and it was very popular. Lots of colors to choose from and can help you match a color. I was happy with my gel manicure and the overall experience. Very affordable too, it was $38 for the gel manicure. read more

I had a very bad experience here recently. The color of my nail polish was completely different from the color I picked out in the sample book. It was not at all a color I would choose and I told the male owner that I was unhappy with it. He told me it was probably a "manufacturer defect" and that I would need to come back the next day to change the color. The next day I showed up and they did do them over but charged me full price, despite the inconvenience of having to go back and spend the time having them done all over again. And Tran was very unapologetic and casual about my bad experience. BAD business practice - I will never go back again!!! read more

My appointment was at 10am today and I was coming with 2 other people. We all had manis and pedis. They took us right away but there was some confusion with where we were going to be sitting. We a had our pedis done first while someone started on our nails. It made it a little hectic but I mean it worked out fine. Lee did my nails and she did great job. She is such a perfectionist and I love that. I think they have a decent amount of colors but they could have more. They are cash only so make sure you bring just that. Unfortunately my mom and her friend had to keep telling them what to do and even show them a video on what they wanted. Some of the chairs didn't work either. Do NOT come here to get your nails done.. this is how I left today with my nails- I asked the nail tech to fix them multiple times, she told me they looked like this because of the way that my nails are. Such a nice, clean and friendly place. I wanted to get the dipping method for my nails. But many salons do not offer it. I was so happy to hear they did! Mimi my nail tech was awesome and did a great job. Tran, the owner also helped out, again she was awesome. The best part, the pedicure. Kim was amazing! A full hour of pure pampering, and I like that they use liners in their foot tubs. The hot was and hot stone massage was so relaxing. I did have one small issue, I called them up and Tran the owner fixed it and did a polish change for me. Excellent customer service! I have no clue how this place stays in business for the prices that they charge. I got a regular French pedicure and it cost 55 dollars. That is outrageous that people will pay that. First, I'm a guy so I can't compare to lots of other places. Tran (sole female owner despite what other reviewer said) has been around for many years, doing my nails for 14 years now. Complete professional and from what I hear from my girlfriend and others, best work and cleanest salon in the area. Yes, some of the staff has limited English but they are all nice and friendly to everyone from what I see every two weeks. The first time my wife talked me into a pedicure was down the Cape, it was basic pedicure foot massage, $50, and parafin wax was another $50. Tran Tran, the pedicure with Parafin wax, is $40, plus you get hot stone massage, and my girl Lee, gives a massage from the foot to the back of the knee, which is so worth the price of admission by itself. They are soooo friendly, really nice people and they don't get mad when I giggle and laugh when I can't the treatment gets too ticklish for me to tolerate. Have been coming to TT Nails for over a year. Staff is always pleasant. It is one of the better nail places in the area, however I feel that in trying to be expedient, they have started to decline and become a little lax on hygienic best practices. The last couple times the person doing my pedi, washed and soaked the instruments, leaving them IN the wash basin that I was still soaking my feet in. I was grossed out by that practice. I also had someone start to wash and bleach the basin right under my legs before applying my nail polish. Both practices are not acceptable. I have been to many nail salons in my lifetime, but nothing tops this one! I called them at 5 pm to schedule a pedicure & fill and they fit me in when Ivy's Nails said they wouldn't take me (despite me going there for 4 weeks in a row now - and both salons were closing at 7). Ivy's turning me down was a blessing in disguise. The pedicure was absolutely wonderful. I have never been so pampered in my life lol. The pedicure included callus removal, an exfoliating scrub for the feet & legs, hot wax, hot stone massage, and a lotion massage to finish off. Also, my toes came out beautifully. For $45 ($55 if you get gel on your toes), it is absolutely worth it. I've been so used to basic pedicures that I never knew how much I was missing out on. Since they were closing soon, my nails were started as my pedicure was being done, which was no problem for me. My nails look great and my nail tech gave me just what I asked for. The owner is wonderful and she talked to me for a little bit as my nails were being finished. Everyone is extremely friendly and inviting. The place is also very clean, it's a relaxing environment, and there are many nail colors to choose from. Definitely a hidden gem in the North Andover area, and I 100% recommend! :) read more

Went for powder manicure. They look pretty but that's where my positivity ends. Dirty tools from the drawer, dirty, used files and buffer pad. She shaped my nails but had to ask to have my cuticles done (never had to do that with any manicure ever before). Then as the final step, she didn't use powder nail product, she put gel polish and put my nails under the UV lamp. The whole point of power is so I don't have to do UV lamp. I protested but she ignored me. I will not be going back. read more

Unfortunately, this place has gone downhill in terms of quality of service while their prices have been increasing. I've been disappointed the last several times I've come in here. I have always made an appointment and yet I have been getting service that is either rushed, sloppy, or forgotten entirely. From the foot/leg massage that lasts 60 sec, to the forgotten hand massage, to the "exfoliation" that doesn't even touch my heel, to the still jagged edges of my nails that weren't filed down correctly, to the sloppy white lines of the french tips, to the gel nails that didn't even last a week, it's been one thing after another. I got much better service when their prices were cheaper. Now their prices are more expensive and their services are worse and I feel like they are just trying to rush as many customers through as possible. I expect better for a more expensive service. Because the salon was just so convenient to my house, I was willing to give it some time and hope that things would improve, but I'm done giving them any more business. P.S. Do not force people to get their manicure done while you're doing their pedicure if they don't want to. I hate it and I know a lot of other girls that do too. It's not comfortable or relaxing at all to have your hand out at a weird angle soaking/filing/painting/etc while the nail tech is squeezed in between chairs and you're trying to enjoy your pedicure. Especially if the nail tech is between you and the other person you brought with you to the salon who you now have to strain to talk around. read more

My toes were bad! I hiked 10 miles in the pouring rain in Sept., need I say anymore? Anyway, the nice woman did the best she could with my toenails. The pedicure was wonderful. I loved the hot wax and the massage. Could have skipped the stones, but it was a great spa pedicure for $45. If you want basics, go somewhere else, but if you want to relax and splurge. I have been going to Tran Tran for many years. I book with Annie and she is a true perfectionist. They are always punctual for my appointments. The pedicure is a little pricey but so worth it! This is by far the BEST nail salon I have been to in the Merrimack Valley area! I've been coming here for a couple of years now and they never disappoint! Everyone is super friendly and attentive.
