I'm honestly not someone who usually writes reviews, but my experience with Marisa has been so…read moreimpactful that I felt like I had to share. I drive over an hour each way to see her and it's been so worth it. I originally went to see Marisa for extreme anxiety and ongoing sleep issues, after trying what felt like every modality out there: somatic exercises, journaling, therapy, BIT, meditation, breath-work...you name it. While many of those helped in their own ways, nothing truly moved the needle for me the way hypnoacupuncture with Marisa has. From my very first session, there was an obvious shift. Even the people around me noticed. After that first session, the tension in my shoulders decreased, and the only way I can describe it is that everything (physically & mentally) felt like it had been taken down a notch. Since working with her, my sleep has completely transformed. I went from having an extremely hard time falling asleep and waking up almost every hour, to now pretty much sleeping through the night. If I do wake up, I can fall back asleep easily, and I'm even dreaming a lot which I take as a sign I'm finally getting deep, restful sleep. I've seen such drastic improvements that I genuinely feel like I have a new baseline. I feel so much more in control of my anxiety now and honestly like a completely different person than I was just a few months ago. It's been truly life changing. I honestly wish I could see her weekly. The closest way I can describe how you feel leaving a session is like you just had a massage; you're so relaxed, grounded, and at ease. Marisa has truly touched my life. She is genuinely an angel. She listens, she cares deeply, and she is incredibly dedicated to her clients. If she doesn't have an answer right away, she always follows up, whether by email or the next time you see her, which says so much about the level of thought and attention she gives. I don't feel comfortable around many people, but there's something about her energy that is so light and reassuring. She creates such a safe, welcoming environment, and it makes all the difference. I'm so grateful to have found her and truly can't recommend her enough.

For at least 10 years, I've suffered the physical effects of daytime and nighttime jaw clenching. For several years, I've been experiencing regular 24 hour/day migraines for several days at a time. My headaches, neck and shoulder pain were interfering with my ability to sleep for more than a few hours each night. After the first therapy session, my pain level went from a 10 down to a 2 (on a scale in 1-10). During the 3 weeks following that session, I experienced 2 headaches that each lasted for part of a day and were treatable with ibuprofen. My jaw felt relaxed in a way that I hadn't felt in more than 10 years - the pain, pressure and tension were relieved. My sleep started to improve after 5 years of poor sleep, as I could suddenly fall asleep again after most wakings. A few weeks later, I returned for another session. I can't rate my pain now because the pain is gone. I haven't had a headache or even felt the suggestion of an oncoming headache. I feel occasional tightness in my neck. No headaches. My jaw continues to feel relaxed. I continue to sleep well and I can't believe I'm writing that! Steve's craniosacral therapy work treats the whole person. His work is intuitive and expert. He cares so greatly that I feel healed and that his work long-lasting. Two sessions with Steve have changed the quality of my life.

Krista is an exceptional lactation consultant and doula!!!…read more I was seeking help nursing my second child, and had no luck even with the great support at the hospital. I was even told we likely wouldn't be able to nurse for meals at one point. But with Krista's help we are successfully 100% nursing! Krista's work with us was highly individualized. She listened closely to the difficulties, considered our goals, and made adjustments/suggestions that helped immediately. It was different than other approaches which had felt like they were teaching a specific protocol. With Krista she is really attuned to both bodies and fluidly offers repositioning that works. Plus she gave great practical advice to make our transition from bottle to breast achievable. On our first visit she showed up with a super thoughtful New Parent Care Package, on the last she gave us a book she had written about doulas for children with a thoughtful note for our family. She also offered advice on helping our toddler welcome our new family member. It is clear that Krista has found her calling, I highly recommend her work and Relief Parenting to any parent.
