We stopped in to grab some takeout lunch on a Friday around 1215PM. We got a fish sandwich and the lazy lobster. The fish sandwich is actually a double fish sandwich which was a nice surprise. It was a good amount of fish. The lazy lobster was a lot of lobster but the lobster was a little tough. I've had better lobster in Bangor during this trip but it was a lot of lobster for a good price. I'd recommend popping in if you are nearby and want lobster! Oh the popsicles were delicious! Def get one of those!

Excellent and friendly service. I love going here for no nonsense seafood and a great staff. Outside seating and the place is clean. Little roadside restaurant. Definitely recommend.

My husband picked this place to visit. I think he liked the name...lol. We ordered 2 servings of clam Chowder and a lobster roll to share. I enjoyed my clam chowder although it was more of a soup. The taste was there, it just wasn't thick. My husband was digging around in his to get a spoon of anything except for the broth. This was our first lobster roll so we have nothing to compare it to. My husband was expecting a bigger roll than a hot dog bun. I enjoyed the toasted bun and the mild flavor of the lobster and dressing. My husband was looking for a stronger flavor or onion/celery and more seasoning. We also had a side of french fries which were crispy and tasty. We are looking forward to tasting a few lobster rolls from Nova Scotia Canada to Salem MA-U.S.

Great dining experience here. Had the best steamers and fried scallops! Generous portions and reasonable price. I loved everything we ordered, lobster roll had plenty of meat and onion rings was so crispy and lightly breaded. It would be a mistake if you don't make a stop here!

Pretty bang on place. Service was good. Not a lot of space to sit and eat that's my only complaint. Food was top notch. Great place to stop by and eat. 9/10 easy

Amazing Lobster Rolls! Probably the best I've had. Very creamy and buttery, they're addictive, definitely a MUST GO if you pass through Bangor, ME. There's benches outside for outside seating, customer service is great.

First time in Maine summer 2023, a truly traditional meal and so delicious! Did learn I like lobster bisque over stew but so happy to try it

What didn't go well!?!…read more Fresh from the airport, on a rainy day driving from Bangor to Bar Harbor for a weekend trip - we happened to pass this spot and decided to turn around and come back for our first Maine lobster roll of the trip. Didn't realize it had just opened that day - there were only two other people inside and it was very quiet. Still, staff were super friendly and welcoming. There is a fresh fish market area and the restaurant area. The fish market looked closed to us. The two people eating inside happened to be locals - who said they come at least once a week and purchase whole lobsters (we saw them come out on the tray) at market price (which was about $12/lb that day) and have them cook/boil them for $2. My husband asked to do the same and he ended up with an almost two pound lobster for $22 - unheard of for us as lobster is extremely expensive and not fresh. This one was caught like hours before he ate it. A bit challenging for him to eat - ha - as we aren't experts. But, he loved it. I chose to go with the roll and fries with an Arnold palmer with house-made lemonade. Sooo good! Best lobster I've ever had. We loved this place. Hands down the best lobster roll of my life. Delish. If you are anywhere nearby - stop here asap.

I had the hot lobster roll which came with fries and two dipping sauces (ketchup and a spicy tangy mixture). The roll was warm and buttery. My husband had the chilled lobster roll which he enjoyed as well. The fries were crispy and good as a side.

Seeing it in the distance fills me with an overwhelming sense of excitement as it meant returning to one of my favorite hiking spots in New England (so far) and beginning a weeklong binge on Maine's freshest seafood. I absolutely love this tiny and unassuming (from the outside) seafood market and couldn't wait to be back again this year. Last year, it was the first stop to pick up ingredients for my weeklong visit to Acadia National Park. This year, after a whole year of telling anyone and everyone I knew visiting Acadia, it was once again my first stop after I started driving from Boston. Loaded Lobster Roll - check. Loaded Crab Roll - check. Dorr Hoodie - check. Fresh scallops - check. 5# bag of steamers - check. Calamari salad - check. A pair of lovely fresh and alive lobsters for later - check. Some of the freshest stuff at really competitive prices. What's there not to like? Oh yeah, there is Tim with his super sarcastic sense of humor. A conversation with him just absolutely cracks me up. Super nice dude with a lot of information and makes the overall experience here even better than it already is. I also got to meet the father and son owners during this visit. Always glad to meet the hardworking fishermen behind the amazing product that I've become addicted to.

They have fresh and frozen soups for sale, and a single refrigerator display of a few fine pieces of seafood. They do the lobster, too, of course. I went with the scallops, a quart of New England Clam Chowder, and two pounds of fresh haddock. My wife made some awesome fish and chips with the haddock, had some beautiful sautéed scallops, and the soup was excellent. Was about $75 for everything, and we'd come back. The two gentlemen running the place answered all my questions and were more than happy to assist.
