Butterscotch malt and BBQ rib sandwich
    Jane F.

This place is a real foodie's delight. Down a dirt road, the red exterior hasn't been painted since the 50's and duck tape holds the to-go window together. Located in tornado alley it manages to stay unchanged. They make milkshakes to order and the day I was there, fresh limeade. But their BBQ rib sandwich is really old school. I would order two. My milkshake was a butterscotch malt, the last time I was there I had a pineapple vanilla. It is truly an undiscovered gem and of course unpretentious and real. Something this Californian rarely finds.

First of all, the bar height only tables are not conducive to bringing small kids to a restaurant. The adults were nervous trying to make sure they didn't fall off the bar height chairs. I had the burger with the egg on it. Loved everything about this burger. Both burger and egg cooked perfectly. Wife had the Hawaiian burger, which she thought was delicious. Brother-in-law had the burger with the mac and cheese with the mac and cheese on the side; he absolutely raved about the mac and cheese. For appetizers, we bought the pepperjack bites and the spicy green beans. The green beans were fabulous, although I would have enjoyed dipping them in a spicier ranch than regular ranch, although it was very good ranch. We all ordered the french fries and onion rings with our dishes. All of us agreed both the rings and the fries were on the greasy side. I think the greasiness of the fries is what gave my stomach some issues later. The bartender who took care of me paying the bill was very nice. Big, welcoming, friendly smile; pleasant attitude and communication. The service industry needs more people like this guy. Would definitely try this place again to try something else on their vast menu. Might have to not eat for about two days so I can try the double patty hamburger with the fried chicken in the middle of the sandwich. Or their fried peanut butter and jelly. Or wings with their multitude of flavors of sauces and spices.

Such a fun little ice cream shop! Lots of flavors to choose from and different styles - sundaes,…read moremilkshakes, root beer floats & more! The ice cream is made with butterfat and is rich and flavorful. Prices are comparable with other places including chains, but here you're getting much better quality and friendlier service. Our sweet pup was allowed to accompany us inside and she got a whipped cream pup cup! They also sell lots of old fashioned candy and seasonal goodies. We will definitely be back!

One stars are for if the place fails at almost everything, or if the service is so rude and bad that you can't enjoy the place at all. Giving a place 1 star because they don't have your kind of ice cream is ridiculous. Ok rant over. As for this place. It's got a good selection of ice cream. I think it was about 12 flavors or so. I don't really expect every flavor on the planet in a small town or it wouldn't last. Unless you're super picky, It's got something for everyone. The service is super friendly, and prices are very fair. Multiple cone options / cup sizes. They sell banana splits, shakes, Italian sodas, root beer floats, all sorts of candies, taffy and more. The place is super clean and very very nicely decorated. Maybe more on the girly side, but I'm sure if you brought young boys to eat ice cream, they are not complaining the place had more of a girls room feel. Seems like a great place for a group of kids to go with parents at any time. Lots of little things to touch and get their hands on, so maybe not so great if you have a grabby kid under the age of 3 unless you want candy all over the store. . They do have crayons at each table though to help keep kids occupied. Overall nothing I could really complain about. When my kids good at school all week, it's a great place to reward her with.
