I had two extractions that went wrong with a previous surgeon, and I continued to have problems after the extractions. Dr. Holland had his work cut out of him, but he literally brought me back to 100%. I had two root amputations with Dr. Holland and his assistant, Becky, on my two top first molars (because they became exposed after my 12-year molars were extracted by the previous surgeon). From the beginning of the surgery to the end, it was seamless. They took such good care of me. Dr. Holland and Becky were kind, calm, helpful, supportive, and the work they did was incredible. They successfully removed the roots and stitched me up with zero pain and discomfort. After the surgery was over, I looked back in my mouth to see the stitches, and they were perfectly done. They looked like my sweet grandmother stitched them together, with not a single stitch out of place. I healed beautifully within two weeks. You must go see Dr. Holland if you ever need dental work. When I voiced my concern about the rescheduling policy, the response I received was truly appalling: "Well, at least we accommodated you when your son was in the hospital." Let me be clear--my son was life-flighted to Memorial Hermann due to a life-threatening brain bleed. That traumatic experience was thrown back in my face as a justification for enforcing a cancellation fee. I was speechless. That comment was not only heartless but completely unprofessional. During our appointment, a major hygiene failure occurred. The dental assistant put a hairnet over my son's hair, which had product in it, and then immediately attempted to work inside his mouth with those same gloves. While the assistant was polite and receptive when I corrected the cross-contamination risk, Dr. Belivand defensively interjected to challenge me. Once I stated the facts about the hair particles, she went silent, but then immediately retaliated by power-tripping over a "no phone" policy that was perfectly fine on our previous visit. When I requested a transfer to the male dentist at this location, the office chose to protect Dr. Belivand's ego over accommodating a patient. Today they called to cancel our upcoming Thursday appointment under the guise of a delayed flight and tried to push us out of the practice entirely. They would rather deny a child care and fabricate logistical excuses than hold an unprofessional doctor accountable for standard hygiene violations. I am glad they handled it this way because it saves me the trouble of ever returning to this dysfunctional office.
