My review is based on two visits. One was for a cleaning and the other was for a crown placement. Let me start off by saying that I am terrified of the dentist but Dr. Wendt is the best I have ever encountered. My crown placement was 0 pain. Her bedside manner is fantastic. She doesn't make you feel rushed and she obviously is a expert at what she does. Her staff is excellent also. Very professional, caring and cordial. I just wish I had found this dentistry before now. This review is based off of my boyfriend's experience here, but I'm considering making them my dentist too! I found this place after doing some research on different providers under his insurance. The good reviews on several websites convinced me that their practice is professional and friendly enough to try out. The appointment process is easy and convenient since they have the option to schedule online. Insurance verification went smoothly as well. But the standing factor that makes their office stand out is their friendliness and their genuine interest in your dental needs. Plus there was no wait time both times! In and out on a jiffy! Since my boyfriend went on Fridays both appointments, he was seen by Dr. Brune (I think that is his name). Dr. Brune is super friendly, informative, and professional. Not only did he give a thorough exam and replaced my boyfriend's fillings, he also explained everything down to the last detail. He explained the causes, the effects, the preventions, and different methods to properly clean your teeth in certain circumstances. I don't think any of my dentists were as precise as he was. Aside from taking care of my boyfriend's teeth, he also explained to me about the possible scenarios that could happen with my wisdom tooth. And I didn't even get an exam there! Definitely great experiences from this establishment, and I'm looking forward to being their patient myself. read more

I had such a great experience at Anchor Dental I knew I needed to leave a review! I was just recently a patient of Dr. Wendt and she was great! The office is very clean and well decorated! The waiting room is very pleasant and doesn't feel like a stuffy doctor's office. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. My appointment started on time which honestly never happens anywhere else for me so it started off great! All of the machinery and tools they use are updated. I had x-rays done and everything is digital! They don't use the plastic bite guards that most dental offices use, so painful! Dr. Wendt's dental hygienist was really great. Extremely thorough teeth cleaning with no pain and no annoying stabs at my gums! Dr. Wendt came in right after she was done cleaning to take a look, usually I'm in the chair even longer. I was able to do my whole appointment during my lunch break and didn't have to take off work. I will definitely be returning to Anchor Dental for all of my other cleanings and check ups! She also went to Baylor for her undergraduate degree, as I did. Sic 'em! read more

I've been on the hunt to find a great dentist since my other one was so awful and made me feel terrible about my teeth. The staff at Anchor Dental are super nice and understanding. They explain the procedures in layman's terms and give you an estimate of how much the procedure(s) will cost. They don't lecture you on your teeth and they don't put pressure on you. They lay out what they recommend and you decide if you want to go forth with that. Plus on top of that you can relax and watch Netflix so I mean what more do you want? read more

Man! I am so upset I didn't make the switch to Anchor Dental sooner. I loved how I was able to fill out all forms online - never touched a pen on my first visit! I called multiple times to change my appointment time but the receptionist, Kim, was still so kind and patient with me. When I arrived, I waited no longer than a minute until they called me in to see my hygienist Jenny. She was extremely kind, friendly, and did an excellent job! Lastly, Dr. Chiu was the nicest and the most caring dentist I've ever met. He listened very carefully to all my concerns and explained all my options to me very clearly. Anchor Dental in Katy, TX, has turned out to be a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. Come to Anchor Dental in Katy, TX, if you want to see a different dentist each time you arrive. Also, you're likely to LOVE Anchor Dental if you have never reviewed on Yelp before and happen to chose Anchor Dental as the very first review ever to review with one-liner reviews!!! Our family's first trip there was excellent. We were treated by Dr. Chiu and staff, and they were first class. Since then, we have encountered 2 different dentists in the past few weeks. The staff is also different. There was NO NOTIFICATION that there is a totally new dentist and staff, even though the web page still lists Dr. Chiu. I guess it's OK if I were showing up to a car garage and don't care which mechanic shows up to work, but I thought the dental profession had higher standards. It would also be OK if the replacement dentists were personable and good, but that was not our experience. The office is inefficient, and the wait time is over 30 minutes. So, bring a good, long novel with you for the waiting room. Our family will not be greeting the next dentist du jour at Anchor Dental. We will pull anchor and sail off to another port of call when we need to have our teeth checked. read more

They are not best!! They are the worst!! They tried to scam me!! I will never go back!! The reason I went there is because I saw a ad from katy magazine that they offer free cleaning&exam for new patients, when I called they changed so they charge $99, so i said Ok. So after I was done with my procedures and ready to pay they said that i have a balance due 145 plus they filed $183 to my insurance!! That's crazy!! The office assistant is so rude!!! I regret I used my insurance annual benefits in poor places like that.... Plus i am not sure if the dentist did a good job in places that scam people. I understand it is business, but you cant do that!! The reviews here are paid to put five starts!!! probably!!! DR Wendt is the best Dentist I have used to date. I am 32 years old and was worried about crooked teeth. She put me in a product her office uses called "Six Month Smiles". Six months later I now have perfectly straight teeth. I am so glad I did not put regular braces on my face for 2 years! Also, there is something to be said about her professional staff and fun atmosphere. All her equipment is new and I look forward to my next visit. read more
