The vehicle was in great condition--no visible scratches, dents, or rust--when I inspected and test-drove it. However, after I signed the paperwork, the dealership brought it back to me following a detail, and that's when I noticed fresh damage that had not been there before. There were multiple scratches, about two feet long that ran from the middle of the passenger-side door all the way back to the rear bumper, roughly 45 inches long. It was clear the scratches occurred after the sale, yet the dealership denied any responsibility. Feeling frustrated, I brought my Highlander to Caliber Collision, where I'd had great service before. As soon as I explained what happened, their team was incredibly understanding and told me to bring the car in right away. One of the team members asked if I had a little time and said they'd see what they could do. About 45 minutes later, he brought me back to look at the car--and I was blown away. The scratch wasn't completely gone, but it looked 80% better! He explained that fully repairing it would require more extensive work and provided a detailed estimate.
