I paid $45,000 for Mark Carlisle Home Improvement to install a Trex boardwalk and dock on my…read moreproperty with a 5 year warranty for workmanship. I have had the deck for about 2 years now and am having a lot of trouble with it. At first my outdoor lighting that was on the boardwalk and dock started giving me problems. I had my lighting guys come out and they said all the outdoor, all-weather grade fasteners and fittings that they had put on were no longer on and causing all my problems. It turns out Mark Carlisle's crew who took the lights off to install the new boardwalk and dock threw those good fasteners and fittings away on the ground and replaced with cheap indoor fittings after I specifically told them to keep them and use them to put the lighting back on. That is the smaller problem. The big problem is that I was told the Trex fasteners were not available so they used screws to fasteners the Trex and now I am ha ing problems with warping and keeping the Trex secured. This is a tripping hazard and creates an unsafe condition. When i brought this to Mark's attention, at first he said he would replace the Trex and have the lights fixed back to original and now he is not doing that when we have a written 5 year warranty on the work. It is very disappointing and will probably have to go to court. Very unprofessional work done by the crew and a total disregard for the warranty that he guaranteed. I recommend not using this contractor for any home project as the crew did a terrible job and the person is completely dishonest. Avoid yourself the headache.

When a few hiccups came up--one of the logs arrived broken, the pilot assembly didn't work, and their pressure washer stopped working, David and Zack handled everything promptly and professionally. Even with the setbacks, David and Zack maintained a great attitude, treated our home with care, and ensured the final install was done right. The fence installation overall went well but we immediately noticed some issues (warping, boards coming loose, gate installed backward, nails protruding), and it took several calls and texts to have someone come back out. Jeovanni finally returned and hammered a few errant nails in with promises the "crew" would return and fix the rest. 6 months and more excuses later, we have yet to hear back or have our fence repaired, despite repeated attempts on our end to reach them.
