Do not, do not, do not under any circumstances bring your car to York Collision (now bought out and called McGovern Collision) for repairs. I got into an accident in December 2022. My insurance company estimated that it would take 10-13 business days to repair. It's been over 6 months and they still have my car. Dave, the manager, has repeatedly lied and mislead me and my insurance company about the status of the work. When I was finally told it was ready, the work that was done was so bad that the insurance adjuster (who came with me) told me not to accept the car back. I have lost thousands of dollars in car payments, insurance payments, out of pocket costs for rentals, and loss of income due to lack of transportation because they have kept my car so long. And to top it off, Dave is so rude! They have never apologized or offered any restitution. In fact, when I went in to see the car myself, he sat in his office, never acknowledged I was there, but barked answers the questions I was asking the front desk manager through the open partition. According to Dave, I am lucky. The last car he repaired was in his shop for 14 months. Bring your car literally ANYWHERE else if you get into an accident so that you can avoid the absolute mess that it's been working with them. read more

had my car to fix scratches on pumper and they took one month just to fix minor accident. they over charge and gave them my car with no issues when I picked it up found an issue with my car spoke to their boss and staff there they were so rude and unhelpful. they had me take it into other McGovern to fix the problem they already made in my car and ended up paying over $1000 dollar just for repairs. I don't recommend them to anyone because you'll get your car with issue that never existed. read more

YORK KIA AND COLLISION CENTER ARE THE WORST!!!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS CRAPPY DEALERSHIP!!!!! I tried to get my car that i purchased from York fixed at this crappy service center and they scammed me. i had an appointment in Medford and when i arrived the Manager was rude and did not want my business and they scammed me by saying I would have to drive to Saugus to get the car fixed. They are scam artist and poor business people. They do not car about the customer and I will never buy a car from them or have my car serviced by them. I will tell everyone I know that York Kia and York collision center are the worst companies I have ever dealt with! So Do not do Business with York Family dealerships they have people working for them who do not care about customers and the entire company is not customer service friendly!!!! Like there manager said THEY ARE NOT HIGH END DEALERSHIP! THEY ARE A CRAPPY DEALERSHIP!! I am buying from a ford or Chevy dealership and avoid York at all costs!!! read more

I didn't write a review immediately after my experience with York simply for the fact that every interaction with them gave me anxiety. Anyone who gave this place one star had the exact same experience as me: they're dishonest, unreliable, and truly didn't do anything, but plop more stress onto my situation. Every time a complaint was made, I would be assured that they were the top choice in the area or are #1 for blah blah blah. Hey, actions speak louder than words since all I heard was: I'm lying and am going to keep putting you off, but I'll just pretend like you're being crazy. They had my car for over 4 weeks when I was originally quoted by Dave York for 1.5 weeks. From there, I worked with Paul. Every time I got a call from Paul, it would be to let me know that he'd have to push out my project a bit more. This happened 5 times (I still have every voicemail) but I think the straw that broke the camel's back was when he called to tell me they'd just received the part needed to fix my car. This was about 3 weeks in and I was due to pick up the car that day (he ensured me that it would be ready 4 days before). I asked him how that was possible when the week before, he had called to say that he had already installed the parts and was waiting for it to be painted, which was why he needed more time. He proceeded to sound like a blubbering moron, trying to explain the very clearly obvious lie that just came up. It was then that he offered me a rental. Where was this offer two weeks ago?! Conveniently, the car was completed within two days. No worries though! When I picked up the car, there were new issues that didn't exist when it was first brought in. When brought up, I was brushed off and dismissed until I threatened to call my insurance to complain; suddenly, I was urged to bring it back. Only they had my car for another day, but never resolved my issue. Now, I'm out another $2000 for stuff they should have fixed, but insisted wasn't their problem. Nice! The only time they were responsive was when we complained directly on their website, immediately after getting my car. I knew they received it because I got two phones calls, an hour within one another. In the over four weeks they had my car, they never called me twice in a day to update me on their work, much less to offer an explanation. So nice job on the super transparently shitty customer service! My boyfriend had written the complaint, yet Paul called me and started yelling about how they'd offered me the best service possible and how they were #1 in the area and just more crap I couldn't even bother to absorb. I asked why he didn't call my boyfriend directly to discuss it, but he told me he didn't have my boyfriend's number. Interesting since you've been working with him just as much as me! You're a bad liar, Paul. Ultimately, I pretty much told him I'd call him back because I couldn't bare to do business with him again for another moment. I was willing to take back my car with damages since any extra time talking to this POS would just be a waste. Paul, you're a joke. Learn to do business with integrity and honesty. I don't know why I'm bothering to tell you this since you're gonna blow it off, justify your actions, and then shove your head right back up your ass. Not to worry, though. Since you'll probably never see me again, I suppose it's fine for you to go back to being crooked and lying to customers because you can't manage your time or get your stories straight. Let me know if you need me to expand. read more

I always use this place, and recommend anyone I know to use them as well. Paul is a class act, always kind and nice and always very honest in what he says. His guys do amazing work as well, never had a bad experience and have used them several times through the years. The thing is, they are a Ford dealership, but have done other models I've thrown at them. When I used to have a Mitsubishi Galant, they replaced my bumper, did some paint on it as well, and always throw in a detail job with every job they've done for me, and do a very good job at that. Most recently, my brand new Subaru Crosstrek had some minor paint scrapes on the bumper after I backed into someone, and knew I was paying it on my own and was very reasonably priced, and the paint job looks as good as the day I bought it! They are also very honest, I also own a 2004 Ford F-250 and as people may know with this body style, the fenders like to rust. As the rust kept coming on, I brought it to them and they told me it would be expensive and not worth doing because the rust will come back. I brought it to Macco and the rust did come back within a year, and just containing it now. They don't seem to be out for money, just giving you the best work for your dollar. I will always use this place, they take care of your car as if it is their own, in a timely fashion! read more

Fantastic shop, not sure where some of these reviews come from but my experiences have been top notch. I would highly recommend this shop for repairs! Great customer service and great quality work. Picked my car up and they even fixed a few random, unrelated bumps and scratches on the body just because they take pride in there work. read more

Paul is extremely nice and helpful. He usually gets my car back to me around the time he says. I've brought my car here twice and I'm currently waiting to get my car back after an accident. I'm happy with the work that they do because my car looks brand new every time. Thank you York collision for taking care of my baby! read more

McGovern Collision Center - What theyre working on right now. - Body Shops Near Me - Shrewsbury, Massachusetts

I recently had my auto repaired at York Collision Center after a hit-and-run accident. My experience with this company was exceptional. During the week that they had my car in for repair, I received calls regularly giving me updates on the progress of the repairs, etc. When I got my car back, it looked brand new. They even buffed out scratches around the car door handle (not part of the accident!). They do excellent and efficient work. It's never fun to come out to your car and see that someone had hit it-- I called my insurance immediately and they sent me to York--a completely pleasurable (under the circumstances) transaction. I highly recommend them. read more

DO NOT USE YORK COLLISION! I had my car towed to York Collision after my accident. It took them 4 days just to get an estimate, I called three different times and they said they were working on an estimate, so I drove down to the shop and they hasn't even started my car! It took them ANOTHER 3 days just to place an order for the parts to start my vehicle. They have had my car for 15 days now and I spoke with the manager Paul who informed me that they are just starting the repairs. They are dishonest, unreliable and I wish I could go back in time and choose another body shop. read more

Okay. So here we go again. This review is on behalf of my mother. Just picked up her car this week after taking it in to get her side view mirror replaced after it was taken off by another car. First of all, it doesnt take 2days to fix.Repair was done great, except the mirror is the wrong color! read more

I went here when my car was in an accident in September and I will ALWAYS use this place! I have Mapfre Commerce Insurance and it's a one stop shop. They come get your car, appraiser comes here, and they fix your car. Paul, Manager of the Collision Center called me every couple days with updates on my car. Easy and stress free, which is what's needed when you have accident and can't miss work. My father was able to pick up my car, it looks wonderful and there's 100% guarantee. If I'm not happy then they will look at my car again for free. They are so nice and polite, empathetic too. I will use them again. You can rent a car from here too. read more

I wanted to say thanks to Paul and the folks in the collision center for giving me a complimentary detail after a bad experience with a repair last year. Car looks and feels great, and they were good on their word. read more

We purchased our 2013 Kia Soul from Kia of Medford. Our buying experience was the best I ever had at an automobile dealership. When our neighbor caused some rear bumper damage to our car while backing her car, I called York Kia to get a recommendation on auto body repairs. I was recommended to go to York Collision Center. I received an estimate on Saturday, September 6; dropped the car off on Monday, September 9 and picked up the car on Friday, September, 13 as promised. Their overall workmanship I rate as outstanding, and Paul and Dave provided me with timely updates throughout the entire repair process. read more

I went in for an estimate and left within 20 minutes in a rental as my car was not safe to drive, from the moment I walked in to the every other day calls from Larry! They kept me posted on everything they were doing to my vehicle..... I have to say I would definitely go back I recommend to anyone my Olivia looks great drives great thank you York! read more

After a pretty significant accident, our insurance sent us to York Collision Center. I recognized the name but had never dealt with them. I can tell you that I was thoroughly satisfied by their service and, more importantly, the end result. Everyone that I met was responsive to my needs, clear in describing ever step, and professional in every way. And my car came back looking like it was brand new. I cannot overstate how happy I am with the experience. Thoroughly top notch organization. -J read more

I only wish I had read all of theses reviews before allowing them to work on an 2018 Audi A4, they quoted a 10 day fix that has now been almost a month and all they do is play the blame game. When told to stop all work on the vehicle while waiting on a part to come in. The part mysteriously came in early and against my wishes they continued working on the car using the excuse they needed their flat bed. I'm going to have that car inspected with a fine tooth comb. I want all receipts to every part and what day and time these parts arrived. I have had to pay out of pocket and their claiming over 15,000 in repairs and won't compensate one penny for any of my out of pocket expenses I endured due to the excessive time frame for repa and their ignorance to stop all repairs , but there is no excuse for ignorance in the eyes of the law and this is going to court and an update will follow. Still refuse to call me back and take responsibility for errors made on my vehicle after 7 attempts... filed a claim in Lynn District court you'll receive notice soon. read more

My family has been taking our cars to York Collision Center for years. There is no need to go anywhere else. Paul and associates have always been professional, always in contact with us, updating the progress. It has always been an easy process and their work is impeccable! Car looks like new, inside AND out, every time. Highly recommend them! read more

After an accident on infamous route 1, my truck was taken to York. The manager acted friendly, but this appeared to be to cover up his employees inability to do a good job. At face value the repairs seemed completed to standards, but when looking closer the work was completed poorly; it also took twice as long as promised, which increased other costs. If you look at the paint in the sunlight, you can see the squib marks from the sander, poorly smoothed out for finishing. The gaps that surround the lights are not matching. I wound up months later doing a lot of other front end work because they either missed it or just covered it up so that it was unnoticeable until after some time had passed. Overall, a very poor experience and one I would not recommend to anyone; steer clear of this place if you expect quality work for the money. read more

I was in a accident and the needed basically everything from the front of the drivers side all the way down to the back drivers side door. They were great about getting my car in right away and keeping me updated on the status of the repair. My car looks great and I am so happy to have it back! read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. Please do not take your car here. It's not only a waste of your time, but the General Manager, Paul never stops saying his "110%" service slogan which is as fake as they come. They had my car ( luxury SUV ) for over 3 weeks, and when I came to pick it up, it wasn't even close to being done. Then when I went back a few days later to get it, my brake lights weren't working, but don't worry, Paul the GM was still saying he gave us 110% service! I took my car to the dealership so a team who knows how to fix cars could look at it, and discovered an additional $600 issue that York Collision didn't seem to find. If you want to waste your time and get your car back with more issues then you went in with, by all means enjoy York Collision. But if you actually have time to look at other collision centers, and don't appreciate being lied to on a daily basis, go somewhere else. York Collision is a complete joke. read more
