Service under an hr with an appt. Oil change and wash. Got declined military discount service provider saying it was only on mechanical services. Oil change is a mechanical services online shows 10% off on all services.

Here's a story about how Cavender Nissan Of San Marcos (Previously McGavock Nissan) steals over $2k from a customer. I'm an ASE certified AND recertified Technician. A 2018 Nissan Titan was brought to me for a misfire on cylinder 5. 1st issue I found was that the 3 wire pigtail to ignition coil would not clip to coil, due to broked tab. I replaced the pigtail with a new one. Verified continuity into ignition coil. Still has misfire. Swapped the ignition coil and spark plug with known good parts and still had the misfire. Scoped the signal wire going to the igntion coil and found no signal to coil from ECM. Verified continuitly from ECM harness to coil. I advised the customer that he POSSIBLY has a bad ECM. I personally took the ECM to Cavender NIssan of San Marcos to see if I could pay them to test the ECM. I don't know what the capalities of Nissan is when it comes to diagnosing ECM's, so I thought it was worth a try. I was advised by the Service Advisor that they CAN diagnose the ECM but that they require the vehicle to be brought in. So....my customer takes the truck in and they immediately replace the ECM at a cost of $2,379. Then Cavender text the customer and said...quote "ECM HAS BEEN REPGROMMED AS DESIGN: MISFIRE IS STILL PRESENT ON CYLINDER 5. TECHNICIAN NEEDS FURTHER TESTING TO DETERMINE IF ITS SPARK PLUG OR IGNITION COIL. CONNECTER APPEARS DAMAGED". They wanted to charge him another $390.00. So basically they didn't bother to take a few minutes to verify the Ignition Coil or Spark plug was the issue. They jumped right into spending $2,379 of this young mans money! Then asked for more money to THROW PARTS AT IT. Well, the truck ends back in my hands so I can take another look at. Turns out if you put a little pressure and tweak the harness going into the ECM, the signal appears at the coil. Therefore, Coils and plugs would NOT have solved the issue either. THIS IS HORRIBLE SERVICE FROM PEOPLE THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO SPECIALIZE IN THIS BRAND OF VEHICLES!!! I tried to speak with a service manager on the owners behalf and was advised by a service advisor that they have no managers. He also advised me that the service advisor involved with the customer will need to call me. Obviously no phone call was returned. I left messages and sent texts. They ended up contacting the owner directly and advising him that he can bring the vehicle back in and they will charge him for more diagnosing. The customer requested a Survey from Nissan Consumer Affairs and was advised that they already sent him one and cannot send another. He never received a survey. This dealership has complete indifference to their custmers. I didn't ask this customer for a dime, because I didn't fix anything. Yet, this place gladly took his money....admitted they didn't fix it....then stuck their hands out for more cash. ALSO, after he was advised that he would NOT be getting a refund and needs to bring it in for more diagnosing at his cost, he was contacted by a salesperson asking if he was interested in purchasing a new vehicle!!!!!! Just wow.

I inquired about a brand new Nissan Altima yesterday and I was told they have one in stock. I went to the dealership and talked to Noah Winkleman (The sales person) about the car, he explained to me all the features of the car and after negotiating the price, we agreed on a price and started the application. I signed the forms and Mathew (The sales manager) run my credit and I got approved for a loan too, the dealership started the process of title and other formalities. I asked to see the car before they do all the paper work but was told it needs to be detailed as it was on the lot and isn't clean and I said fine. They got the car serviced and brought it in front of the dealership to get the paperwork done. I went outside to inspect the car and I noticed there was a dent of the front bumper, checking the interiors, there was several stains on all the doors and behind the driver and passenger seats had shoe prints on them and very dirty on the inside everywhere. While taking it for a test drive, I noticed the vehicle has 642 miles on it, I told them this isn't what you promised me. I was supposed to get a brand new one, but this one is clearly driven and not new. The manager told me that "my general manager drives whatever car he likes" but we will give you the warranty as brand new. I wasn't happy with this and told them I am not buying the car with such conditions and you should give me what you promised, a "Brand New" one. They said they will discuss it and call me the following day to make it work. The next morning I called the sales person and inquired about it, he sent me pictures of a brand new one which had 6 miles on it and said his manager will call me and give me that one instead. He also said since I negotiated the rates, they changed the promised car after paperworks and tried to give me the later one with more miles on it. I got the call from Mathew and he was being very mean and rude from the start as if he wasn't interested in the deal at all. I told him you didn't give me what you promised and I want the brand new one as we spoke about it. He suddenly changes his words and tell me no that was just a demo but we weren't selling you that one. while in reality they had the VIN number for the demo on the file for me. I told him that wasn't the case and he out of nowhere makes it personal claiming I called him a lair and he won't make the deal. I told him I won't beg him to sell me the car and should fulfill his promise since he already run my credit, but he continued being rude about it. I told him I will leave this as a review, he said they don't care, they run my credit, they won't give me what they promised and I can complain wherever I want and he don't give a sh*t about it. I wish I could give them zero stars because they don't ever deserve one star. Terrible people, terrible customer service, extremely rude manager, they will try their best to trick you and take advantage of you. If you are looking for a car, look elsewhere where they will respect and appreciate you as a customer, unless if you wanna have the same terrible experience. I will never recommend this dealership to anyone.

Our experience with Cavendar Nissan San Marcos was more than 5 stars, our salesman Roy went above and beyond. We were approached by Roy shortly after arriving, we let him know that we had done extensive research, we knew exactly what truck we wanted, and we would not consider anything else. Roy did not skip a beat taking up straight to the largest inventory we had seen in 5 dealerships. He was patient when we changed our minds on color half a dozen times. Roy made the experience personable, he showed a genuine interest in getting to know us and not just us buying a truck. It continued once inside all the way to the end. The finance department, other salesmen, and staff made the experience easy, and fun. We did not feel pressured, even ordering lunch so that we could eat and talk about our options. We left with the exact truck we had hoped for, an experience unlike any other in car buying and the first place we ll go to next time we need to purchase a vehicle.

It took about a week and a half to repair, and while we did get the car back, it has been one issue after another ever since. I understand the vehicle had over 150,000 miles, so some repairs are expected. However, the transmission has now failed again, and the situation has only gotten worse. The finance company they work with refuses to refinance or offer any reasonable solution. Instead, they are pushing us to either surrender the vehicle or take on another $20,000 loan with even higher payments. They are unwilling to work with us in any way, including adding repairs to our existing payment plan. What makes this even more concerning is that my sister had a very similar experience after purchasing from the same company--constant issues that never seemed to be properly resolved. If you're in a desperate situation with poor credit, this might feel like an option. But if you're looking for a reliable vehicle and a company that stands behind what they sell, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere

Went to the Harbison in Round Rock and picked out another vehicle. On the day I made my 3rd payment the Engine went out. They wanted me to pay half the cost of another Engine and Labor. I decided that was ridiculous and told them I did not want the vehicle back. I am sharing the information so that future purchasers can be aware that they really need to have a mechanic check out the vehicle you want to buy from them. I say that because I know for a fact that all Harbison does when they get vehicles in is Wash them and put new Tires on them. With that being said, within the first month of having the vehicle, discovered: Rotors needed to be replaced, Spark Plugs needed to be replaced and the first time it rained after I got the vehicle, noticed a crack in right front Headlight cover. The Harbisons owned by the son are in no way the same as the original Harbison. They do not report your positive payments to Credit Bureaus but I understand that they are going to or already have reported this vehicles' balance. Also, after making 2nd payment in Round Rock, noticed a small sign on the door stating the Round Rock location is not authorized to sell vehicles. It is so small you really have to be looking to see it. I will be looking into the legality of them selling me a vehicle from that location. I don't usually right reviews, but this situation has really bothered me and I am going to do whatever I need to so that other customers are aware and hopefully not taken advantage of. But when it came to negotiating...he laughed at me. I told him my out the door price and he scoffed and laughed at me. I get it. Sales tactics, make it seem like the price I'm asking for is outrageous and I don't know what I'm doing. You're looking to make a commission and you have to work your hardest to get the best price for the business. It may work on others, especially women, but not me. It just pisses me off and I definitely wasn't budging then. He was training that day too...so I get it. You don't want to look bad in front of your trainee. When I got the price I wanted, he defeatedly dropped the paperwork on the table and laughed. Then had the audacity to ask me to write him a review. My finance guy, I'm sorry I can't remember his name was wonderful. He was playing respectful music (unlike another finance guy playing rap LOUDLY for all to hear) and had a desk with little trinkets from other countries he's visited. He didn't push me to purchase additional stuff. He asked and when I declined, he said yes ma'am. I know that probably goes against sales tactics, but it was respectful. The only reason I would come back, is for him. Additionally, quit telling people your registration will be ready in a week...Adan. I called today, a month later, and the receptionist said that a week NEVER happens and she has no idea why the sales guys tell people that. Be honest. I already bought the car...you don't need to continue telling me stuff that isn't true. When we came to pick up the car, Adan wouldn't even look at my boyfriend and say hello. He said congratulations defeatedly handed me the keys and basically walked away. I'm sorry I didn't give you the commission you wanted, but attitude is everything. Don't be a sore loser. Looking at the size of your ceilings and Christmas tree (he showed me on his phone at his house) you're not hurting for cash bro. Smile, be genuine, and have a good time.
