You check in at the main office downtown, then hop on a tour bus to the ranch property. Our driver was super informative and entertaining along the way. The drive itself felt like part of the experience with bumpy ranch roads, multiple gates, gorgeous scenery, and a real behind the scenes feel of the property. Once you arrive, the staff gets you geared up with all the safety equipment and everyone was incredibly friendly, professional, and great with all ages. After gearing up, you take an old Army style jeep up the mountain and that ride alone was an adventure Super rickety, steep, and fun! We felt very safe the entire time because before every single zip line, the staff carefully checked everyone's safety gear and connections. There are 6 zip lines total and each one is different with spectacular views that change throughout the course. One thing to know is that you should be in reasonably good shape because there are mini hikes between some of the zip lines. There are lots of water stations along the course, which was great, but the experience is definitely active and you do not want to hold up the group. Totally worth it though and such a memorable Central Coast adventure for families, couples, teens, and adventurous kids!

We learned how to cut pieces of glass and add copper tape that we would then solder together into these amazing and functional art pieces. MIL was working on composing her own design using different layers of colored glass that would later be fired and shaped. I'm so impressed with the outcome and how cool her new studio space was. She had all the materials provided to us and made sure we were each getting enough of her time, since she was dividing her attention between three people! Lisa was really cool and made us feel like we were old friends. We enjoyed her company and were grateful she could lend her artistic eye so that our pieces would be visually appealing. I'm so glad we tried this out and I plan on coming back again to try another project. The photos of our new terrariums don't do them justice. Lisa even provided the air plants! Thank you, Lisa and Violet, for introducing us to glass arts and sharing your night with our family. Until next time!

No accountability, just anger, greed, and insults from owner. Jeez. Jason, read again what your employee sent me. That's not "downright untrue" or "slanderous" -- that's your staff, verbatim. And God forbid any paying customer -- solo or not -- has a problem with a wine tour, for we can see the level of cordiality, care, and accountability they'll encounter *** The Wine Line discriminates against solo travelers and refuses to do business with them unless you agree to a hefty solo supplement -- for a shared tour! I was once a happy repeat customer, but when trying to book last year, a representative told me, word for word (see emails in photos), this: "We are currently not servicing single passengers due to the work required... your patronage is simply untenable, financially." Wow, my patronage is simply untenable. That's straight up greed with a dose of haughty nastiness. I've never heard anything like that before, ever, from any business, and I've dealt with some truly awful and shady businesses before. Also: want to bring your pup along? No more, and especially if you are traveling solo with one: "It's just a bit burdensome and financially a loss to accommodate a single... particularly with a dog." Wow, we're a bit burdensome too. This policy and this attitude is the opposite of the welcoming spirit I experienced from them before. If they're comfortable sidelining solo guests, I can't help but wonder what other corner-cutting decisions, surcharges, and greediness now lurks behind the facade they project on Yelp and on their website. I truly regret having given them a glowing review in the past. To anyone who heeded my previous advice and ended up deceived, I apologize. Avoid. We don't need to condone this behavior from ANY business.

We decided to have her cater small bites the day of graduation so family and friends coming in to town had something to eat before, between graduations and after and went with a catered brunch and a full mimosa bar the morning after the graduations. She sets everything up, provided everything and became my "life coach" too...lol. I was able to enjoy sharing the day and all the moments that go along with celebrating your kids big moments without having to have to slay in the kitchen. Her food is to die for, full of flavor and unique and everything was made by her. Brunch was a cool experience because as she cooked & baked, she visited with family and friends and her interactions made it feel like it was my sister from another Mr. helping make this grad party a complete success. Thanks Katie for nailing it, providing a beautiful display of food, hanging out with everyone and most of all creating an amazing party so I could enjoy it all without the stress of cooking or figuring out a menu alone. I'm so bummed out that I didn't get pics to share of the brunch:( Looking forward to having you a part of more family milestones.

I booked this in advance and it was relatively easy to do so online via the request form on the site. We had a 9am start but easy to get a hold via text if you run late. There is ample free parking right in front of the shack. Put in "A Kayak Shack" in Google Maps and you will have no trouble finding the dock where you need to be. Bathrooms are available by the shack and there are even faucets to wash your feet if you get muddy after the trip. Everything went very well and we all had lots of fun doing this. They provide a lot of equipment, including dry bags, even a blanket to prevent splashes on you, and safety jackets for everyone even if you can't swim. It was clear John and his team are very knowledgeable of the local wildlife and I appreciate the care behind making sure we had a good and safe time. Once arriving to the dunes, we did a hike to the secluded beach and was able to enjoy the view from a much quieter spot. For the picnic, the food was delicious for a picnic. Includes wine and sparkling water. John surprised us with some lovely homemade Blondies. The whole experience doesn't require too much experience and the waters are quite calm so it's perfect for many ages and such a lovely place to be!

We were a small but mighty group of three. I do suggest getting some water shoes and if you have them binoculars. Jenn did a great job preparing us before shoving off. She created a wonderful atmosphere. I can't say enough about her kind leadership and how she taught us about this unique area of California. This tour immerses you in the geological wonders of the bay, history of the area, and its bountiful marine life. On that particular day, we saw very active cormorants, a few herons, egrets, a bald eagle, evidence of mud shrimp, crabs, and a raft of otters taking a snooze. Being outdoors on the water was calming and learning with other curious individuals was invigorating. Thank you Jenn for this experience that gave us many wonderful memories.
