His experience and professionalism always comes through. When Jeff tells you "don't worry", you can absolutely not worry because he always knows best. The wedding was at the Picnic House in Prospect Park and the staff knew the venue and transformed it into a beautiful venue exactly how we imagined it. Alfonso was great from the minute we got there. He was calm and efficient in helping to set up for the ceremony, the decorating, the fireplace, the centerpieces and candles just how we pictured them and it was all perfect. He helped organize the ceremony and timed everything perfectly. During the cocktail hour, the food stations and the passed food just kept on coming and was all interesting and delicious. My guests were already raving. For the reception we chose the buffet which was generous and delicious. Many of my guests were saying, "There's more food??" The waiters were great, the bartenders great, everything went without a hitch, even the clean up was seamless, not to mention all the food we took home!! She was very friendly and happily explained each dish and taught us a little about her country. Her booth was clean in a market full of clutter and hazard. There were several tables for seating and she mentioned they often host events; music and buffets there. Sadly we already had lunch but were tempted to get some of her mac and cheese with a twist for the road. She carefully bagged up our order with consideration of our long walk. Later that evening when hubby indulged he was impressed with the surprise of native seasoning she used on an otherwise traditional mac and cheese. Portion and price were good as well. She also let us sample her country's version of a carrot cake - less sweet and more like a bread than the carrot cake we are used to, but very moist and flavorful.

This is why I'm giving the place 3 stars, my supervisor wanted the gluten free brownie instead they gave her a regular brownie. I have a gluten intolerance, I didn't realize this until after I ate the brownie and looked at their menu. If someone is buying a gluten free item please make sure you're giving them the right item. All three desserts looked homemade and tasted great. My only main concern is, if you have an allergy beware of what you're getting and what they're giving you.

Komeeda, as a company, strives to create a multi-cultural experience tailored to the unique identities and values of who they are working with. From the very start of our experience, Jabber and Rosalee were helpful and collaborative in crafting a catering experience for our wedding that reflected the multi-cultural aspects as well as who we are as a couple. Through in-person meetings as well as over the phone, they made themselves available to us to implement adjustments to food choices as well as venue decorations we had to change in anticipation of the event. It was a feeling of relief knowing that we were in good hands from start to finish. This not only eliminated the usual worrying that comes with planning and anticipating a wedding, but also allowed us to enjoy the actual the experience of selecting food and decorations which reflected our identity as a couple. One of the highlights of the planning process was attending tasting with Chef Alex who prepared a myriad of interesting and innovative plates from both our cultures. He not only was friendly and very skilled but also took feedback in adjusting the flavor profile of dishes he was presenting. We could not have been happier and having a tasting so thoroughly thought-through gave us an accurate idea of how food would taste on the actual day (as it should!). Jabber and Rosalee were also very communicative along the way and were willing to not only accommodate our schedules but also where we would meet in the city. During the actual day of the wedding, the venue was beautifully prepared according to a "mood board" my wife and I designed for them to follow as a rough template of what we were thinking for decorative details (color scheme, table layout, etc.). They perfectly captured what we needed working with the venue owner to best accommodate the uniqueness of the space we had our reception at. As for the food, it was exquisite and people kept telling us how it was the best food they have had at a wedding as well as the friendliness of the servers. A couple of my friends also commented how incredible the bartender was and how she accommodated drink requests that were not necessarily on the menu. Everyone was amazed with the experience that Komeeda provided and their focus on details made everyone feel right at home allowing everyone to have a great time from start to finish. Jabber even remembered when we casually asked him if he could save us some hors d'oeuvres from cocktail hour as we missed it to take pictures before arriving at the reception. Guests were also pleasantly surprised when they were offered take-home boxes or another plate of food when everyone was dancing. Jabber and Rosalee took our own identities and values into account when they were able to offer compostable, bamboo kitchenware, which interested our guests and created awareness of environmental sustainability. Jabber and Rosalee are great people and great collaborators for events and we are grateful for the opportunity to have met and worked with them. They're timeliness, professionalism and passion for the company mission, created an experience that is truly unforgettable for everyone.
