I echo the other reviews about what a good choice Hoboken Catering is for catering of your parties. My wife and I hired Todd to cater our house party of 48. We asked to sample the menu, so Todd brought over a sampling of selections that we asked about. We selected 9 appetizers which were more than plenty and ordered our wine selection from Sparrows. For our party, Todd provided everything else needed included glasses, platters, etc., along with two servers and a prep chef. They were all exceptional during the evening and cleaned up after the party was over. Our guests are still remarking about how good the food and service was. All in all, Hoboken Catering is good value and delivers a fine product. We will be returning for future needs. read more

Hoboken Catering came highly recommended because everyone uses them in our building to throw parties for the common space. This seemed convenient for me so I didn't look elsewhere. Throughout the entire process, Todd was extremely responsive and helpful. We paid $2500 for 55 guests for a birthday party including two servers and one bartender for a 5 hour timeframe. The bartender was very friendly and did a great job. The servers did their job but I received attitude when she tried to take away the food and not all my guests had arrived. Unfortunately our common room doesn't have an oven and the sternos didn't do enough to keep the food hot. I had several close family members let me know the food wasn't very hot. Also, I paid per head and two of the main entrees (chicken and steak) and it was completely gone before the guest of honor (my husband) plus 4 guest got to eat. I also had 3 no shows. There is no way there should not have been leftovers of every item when you're paying per head. If I had just ordered trays of food from a local restaurant it would've been cheaper (not including cost of service) and I would've had more food to go around. I never ever assumed there wouldn't be enough food for the amount of money I was paying. We did however have a tray of salmon left over - but who wants room temperature salmon? Gross. Salmon wasn't my first pick either but on the suggested menu it was listed so I went with it assuming it was a customer favorite. Because of the embarrassment I felt, Hoboken Catering gets 2 stars. Maybe my guests eat more or other people's party spaces have had better kitchen facilities but the next time I have a party, I will look elsewhere and if you live in Maxwell Place, you should too. read more

Poor excuse - simply too busy Hoboken catering was serving for us on my son's first birthday. It was only 10 person party. First, Tood did great follow up from the very first inquiry. He seems to be very deligent to reply to email using his smart phone. I just loved it. Of course, he and his staff arrived on time. Food was as exactly as he promised to deliver and served warm and nice. His staff was very nice too. We had done few caterings recently including our son's 100th day party. His food was a lot better than other caterers we used recently and price was pretty reasonable too. Todd is a total badass. My husband and I had our wedding last week at Kolo Klub in Hoboken - Todd was the 2nd caterer we met. The first rubbed us the wrong way; when we sat down with Todd it was so easy and laid back, he made us feel comfortable right away. Thank goodness we found him! Not only is Todd really easy to work with - he's super understanding, accommodating and has great prices! We did a menu for 100 people - all cocktail party style. Anything I threw Todd's way, he figured out how to include it in the way that I wanted. He also made sure that he and his staff fed my Husband and I during our party.. otherwise, we would have totally missed out on the food! The entire wedding was amazing but with Todd's help, our guests were full and really enjoyed their food. We had numerous email and phone consultations and, each time, he followed up promptly and politely with additional pricing and other feedback. I found Hoboken Catering only two months before my wedding when we realized that everything else we had planned went way over the budget we actually had and Todd was so great! Outstanding and extremely tasty food. Todd and his crew provided the food for a simple family get together we had. The food was way, way better than I had anticipated. Sometimes with these catering companies the food just ends up being OK since it's cooked in bulk, sits out for a bit before you eat it, etc. Not the case here. I was shocked how good the food tasted. My mom hired Hoboken Catering to cater my baby shower, which we held in the my condo building's rooftop residence lounge in Hoboken on April 6, 2014. They were superb. In advance of the event, my mom tells me that Todd Baily was very responsive and easy to communicate with by email, and that the pricing was very reasonable. He provided detailed information and options regarding the menu, linens, waitstaff, serveware, glassware, and cutlery - basically, the whole party, top to bottom. We used the traditional baby shower brunch menu that is available on their website, and all of the food was delicious. It was the perfect amount (with some leftovers, which I appreciated!), and was also arranged beautifully - Todd and his staff arrived well in advance to make sure everything was ready to go well before any guests arrived. We also had a waiter available to pour drinks and bring out additional food. She was very professional and made sure everything was progressing smoothly.
