Not knowing anything about the NYC chef culture prior to working with Lena, I was a bit nervous about what the quality of the food and service would be like. However, Lena and her team quickly settled these nerves. Here's my breakdown of the experience: Pre-Event Date: Lena was extremely responsive throughout the entire process and was great to partner with in catering the menu to my likes / dislikes as well as taking into account any allergies amongst the group. Day of Event - Arrival / Setup: Lena and the two waiters she came with arrived on time and quickly settled in and got to work to help set the room / table up. I was somewhat surprised how little I had to do to get everything setup. Food: Every dish was excellent and all 12 people agreed! The presentation and taste was top notch and I felt like I was at a Michelin star restaurant. The dessert was heavenly and I enjoyed every last bite! Waiters: The waiters were extremely thoughtful and professional. When each guest arrived, the waiters greeted them and took their coat / bags to hang them, which was a nice touch. They also ensured our glasses (wine and water) were never empty. Before they left, they cleaned up the kitchen and washed all the pots, pans, and dishes that were used for the night. I would 100% recommend anyone to work with Lena. I plan to work with her again in the future!

So this brings me to this...how did I not discover Jason's Kitchen until recently? Where has this Chef been and why has he not blown up bigger than he has?!?! Jason is actually a classmate of mine from my hometown in New Jersey. I've followed him lightly on social media platforms through his culinary journey from birth of his unfathomable determination and skill to break out on his own - a self taught Chef running a full service catering company. Encompassing Private and Personal dining experiences in the luxury of your private home or event space, Chef Jason brings not only his complete professionalism, but also a mind blowing culinary exploration of perfectly balanced ingredients that not only touch each of your five senses, but envokes a feeling of complete bliss. Each dish is thought out with culinary precision and executed beautifully. You can taste each ingredient as it rolls around your mouth and tongue. Balanced with the simplicity of what brought this dish to concept. This culinary journey his menu takes you on is unreal. I have never worked for or with a more talented Chef, who's personal energy is calm and humble, and confident not cocky. We had a dinner party to celebrate a birthday and a divorce with 9 close friends. Chef Jason, his Sous Chef June, and our lovely servers Karl and Cara really made this evening special. Everything flowed seamlessly. Any anxiety I had walked out the door as soon as this team went to work. It was a quiet calm and focused energy. They also didn't mind me being in the kitchen watching and tasting and asking a million questions. I can not recommend enough Jason's Kitchen for your next event. Exceptional! Thank you Chef Jason and Sous June. You blew our minds away!

From the beginning, Chef Rossi was warm and welcoming and immediately shared my excitement about the wedding. What I love most about TRS is that everything is customizable and Chef Rossi wants to make sure her food reflects the wedding vision. She paid attention to every little detail I asked for. Creating a menu and signing an agreement with her was such a breeze! Closer to the wedding, her administrative team was totally on top of every change and request I made. I felt at ease going through a walk through, setting up the timeline, and making sure all bases were covered. They have years of experience and that was certainly demonstrated from beginning to end. On top of all that, her food is some of the best food I have ever tasted in my life. It is not typical wedding food and we received hundreds of compliments throughout the reception. Every item on the menu reflected who my husband and I are as people. Chef Rossi is an extremely unique caterer and we absolutely loved every second working with her! Thank you thank you thank you! She was friendly, fun, and extremely helpful. She went over everything having to do with cost up front!! The tip, tax, rentals, etc. And when she gave us an initial estimate, and sensed (correctly) that it was out of our budget, she happily told us where and how to make cuts and found ways to save us money. We felt totally at ease and then came the food... AWESOME!!!! She invited us to not one, but two tastings. We loved everything. We liked her first menu, which was a perfect fit for our theme, so much that we only ever made ONE menu item change. The Raging Skillet went above and beyond, supplying me with an inventory of what mixers, sodas, and juices would be needed so I could go buy them myself and save more money. The day of the event, the staff was amazing and the food was fantastic. The right amounts at the right time and all the appetizers and main dishes were outstanding. We received numerous compliments on the food through out the event. Honestly... Through every step of the way leading to the wedding, I felt I could never have done it with out Chef Rossi. She is an amazing person who cares about her clients and delivers top notch food.

I wanted to do a private dinner for my friends and I to celebrate our sisterhood and show them my appreciation for helping nurture me into the woman that I am. She created a menu that would appeal to all my guest. Half of my family is vegetarians while the other half is meat lovers. I told her what I liked to eat and she took it from there, while also giving me tips on how to live a healthier lifestyle. Satisfied would be an understatement. From the lollipop chicken, vodka soaked fruit to the pasta. All my favorite dishes were presented with her own little twist to it. I took a leap of faith reaching out to her, especially on short notice and everything came out to perfection. All this to say BOOK HER, you won't regret it. My family and friends were comfortable with her in our home and til this day ask for her food, even though it's been several months. Her and her assistant were pleasant and made me feel as if this wasn't our first encounter. They made sure that I had no worries and went above and beyond their duties. I am not easily pleased but that night my heart was full and I couldn't be happier. Thank you so much Chef Lex, looking forward to a home cooked meal from you in the near future.

New York Deaf Theatre is a non-profit that was celebrating their 35 year anniversary and I, as part of the fundraising committee, wanted to put together something classy, yet affordable, for the guests in attendance. From the beginning, Abigail was open and flexible in the planning. We devised a Plan A option of three hand passed appetizers and a Plan B option with two appetizers and a stationary table of fruits, veggies, dips and breads. As the event got closer to "opening night", Abigail was willing to work with the head count and budget to assess which plan we could put into effect. This is so rare in a caterer. Usually once something is down on paper there is no room for adjustment; however, in our case it was truly hard to predict how many people would be able to attend the event. Kind Table found a way to fit with us, not the other way around. What an asset! What a relief! Furthermore, the food itself was truly delicious and filling. We wanted to provide the guests with something interesting and flavorful but that also left them feeling satisfied. Kind Table delivered on every aspect of that. I just loved the olive tapenade! Everything had an air of sophistication with food pairings, and yet did not feel snobby or too upper crust. Additionally, Abigail was willing to adjust one of the appetizer options to literally cater to a guest with severe dietary needs. She provided the same filling and flavorful options to this guest while working within her strict dietary guidelines. A huge, huge Thank YOU for this. On top of everything Abigail and her team at Kind Table provided New York Deaf Theatre, they even threw in a complimentary melon tray that was just stunningly plated. Really unique. I recommend you look into Kind Table for your next event, and know that Abigail is making exactly what she describes and is pictured on the site. Everything is honest, accurate and delicious.
