We originally got the tent for potential weather, but we were able to cancel the tent a few days prior once we knew the weather and it didn't look like we'd need it. They arrived on time to drop off all of the rentals, and picked them up same day as soon as the event was over. Their team was timely, efficient, and easy to work with! This company is not based in Manhattan, and in my experience, they have absolutely no understanding of how to operate or coordinate deliveries and pickups in the city. Manhattan venues have strict access schedules, building requirements, and limited delivery windows. This company seems completely unprepared to handle any of that. There is no customer service. The owner, Scott Gorky, answers the calls himself, yet repeatedly forgets or contradicts what was previously agreed upon. I specifically discussed delivery and pickup times when placing my order. On the morning of my event, I called to reconfirm the schedule, only to have Scott deny what we had discussed. And threaten me to cancel the order just hours before the event. He was an extremely short temper. The delivery arrived nearly an hour early, when no one was at the venue. This was a rented event space, not my residence, which I had made very clear. To make matters worse, I paid for 40 chairs and received only 38. When I requested a refund for the two missing chairs, he said he would. However I still don't have the refund. It's been 5 days since the event. I had also explicitly arranged for same-day pickup because the venue was not my property. Despite this, the chairs were not collected as agreed. I repeatedly tried to reach him to resolve the situation. I made it clear that the chairs needed to be collected by 12 PM and that, if they were not picked up, I would have no choice but to leave them outside the door because I had no further access to the rented space. Immediately after that phone conversation, I received a $400 charge on my credit card. The chairs were eventually picked up, yet these charges were still imposed! What was most disturbing was Scott's behavior on the phone. He was rude, insulting, and aggressive. He also made comments that I found racist and offensive toward Spanish-speaking people. Which I am. This company failed to deliver the full order, disregarded agreed-upon scheduling arrangements, refused to refund missing equipment, and imposed $400 in additional charges despite eventually collecting its chairs. If you are organizing an event in Manhattan, I would strongly recommend finding a company that actually understands the logistics of operating here and respects its customers. The tables were OK but the carnival games were a whole other story. These are the times when I wished I could give zero stars or even negative stars. Don't be fooled by the general high rating! I spoke with the representative and he made me think that nothing would have gotten wrong. I was assured by his professional customer service but on the day of the event, everything went awry. The delivery men wouldn't bring our items to the 5th floor, speaking of an elevator fee that we didn't pay. Not once was that fee mentioned and the items came so gut wrentchingly nasty that me being a popcorn lover I don't even want to know whether or not people clean their machines. We had to clean the machines ourselves. At first the box of materials were not left with the rest of the items. When I did find it, I discovered that the box was just a ripped up cardboard box that had the popcorn oil all over it. Hey party rental thanks for not even providing us a full fledged box, you're too cheap to even give us a new cardboard box for our machine supplies. I kept calling the guy too because the two machines had the worst instructions ever. It might as well have said "put oil, put kernels". Where are the oil to kernel ratios? Good thing I'm more familiar with the cotton candy machine, but one of the heating knobs were actually missing. I almost set our event venue on fire with that dang popcorn machine, with smoke everywhere. Perhaps you guys should clean your machine before using it, so you don't kill yourself or others. The cotton candy machine had all this already burnt sugar on it and the bowl section was covered in dirt. After a while of calling the rep, I would say that he shut off his phone because it went to voicemail. Sorry to bother you, but if you guys did your job right the first time I wouldn't have had to reach you. For some reason also they didn't even pick up their machines next day, why would any event venue be okay with you picking up after 4 days later? Dear Brooklyn party rental, I cannot believe you guys call yourself a company. Thanks for letting me know first hand to NEVER rent from you again. The customer service was great over the phone. It was a simple as saying what I want they emailed me an invoice and a credit card authorization form and my chairs were delivered. LOVE IT! I also like that I was able to color code the cushions to go with my theme that was a plus! Only one con... (I know I know but I wanna keep it real with you), so the chairs I got are white, and white shows up wear and tear and is not forgiving so it needs extra attention and maintenance. I know they rent these chairs out alot (alot of people I know use them for their functions DJS etc) but I'm still paying the price they call, so as a customer who spending with you I feel I should be rented what is shown on your website you can't put up pretty white bright cris chairs on your website and then send white chairs with scratches whole heap ah black marks on the chair foot them and parts of the chair where the paint is faded and the wood color is showing through. Not cool because they charge a deposit (standard practice) which says to me in my mind I'm charging you this because we have a certain quality of product that we keep well maintained and if you send it back to us messed up we don't return your deposit because it's going to cost us to repair maintain our product, true or not true? Is it just me? Well I promptly send them a email this morning with photos I'll update if and when I get a response. That's my only gripe with them, service wise I've not had any issues.
