It doesn't matter if you order through the app, or the drive-through speaker. Your order will always be lukewarm and more often than not incorrect in large and expensive ways. My husband loves McD's and we live a mile away. I don't care about it so much, but I need to come here regularly for him. It recently took me over 2 months to get a refund through paypal for one missing burger. They doubled down and would not refund the burger that was completely wrong, but I did eventually get a refund for the missing one. Minus the tax I paid. Listen, if I order something and don't receive it, I expect a full refund. I'm not a confrontational person, I'm just sick of throwing money down the McDonald's on Carpenter hole and nearly always being shorted on something. Or there's hecking onions all over it when I say no onions. They don't like picking up the phone, and when they do they say you have to come back to the store and argue with the manager about it there. If you order oatmeal, there is an option to have a couple of coffee creamers included. They have NEVER included this in my order although I always request it. My order today of NO ONIONS on my burger got me double onions and NO lettuce. The happy meal I ordered for the kid had so much ketchup on it the burger could not be eaten. IDK how they let it go out the door like that, but it was more ketchup than burger. I've paid extra for add-ons to then never get them added on in the end. DUring covid the only option was to go back and sit in the drive through to deal with it. They would not answer the phone then. Double burgers are often not so double when we get home. I cringe every time I order. All husband wants is no onions. Every other order still has onions. The fries are cold 3/4 of the time. If I order extra salt it will come without any salt at all. The breakfast buttitos are either overmicrowaved or still cold in the middle. If they do bother to give you lettuce there is so little on there it makes no difference. When the shake and ice cream machines are working at least I can say that these taste fresh. I am always hesitant to buy this from McDonald's because I know how they are with the machines, and you can often taste something spoiled in the shakes in general. Anyhow, I think this place does an OK job with the machine maintenance because they do most of the time have it, and it doesn't taste rotten. We are frequently missing entire burgers. They will not refund you over the phone even when they admit that they forgot to give you the burger and it's sitting right there in front of them. You have to drive back no matter what the circumstances are. I'll just keep doing chargebacks for my missing items. It beats having to deal with an argumentative employee in person. This place really needs (as others have said) a hard reset button. read more

They frequently get my order wrong, which forces me to make two trips and wastes my time. For example, I ordered a large fries, but when I got home I found it was only a medium. I also ordered a Double Quarter Pounder, but received a single patty instead. In addition, when I order a lemonade sweet tea, it is often just sweet tea, and sometimes even unsweetened tea. These mistakes happen too often, and it has become frustrating. I hope more attention can be given to order accuracy in the future. read more

The workers here are great - this is not about them. The Manager said that the owner doesn't accept corporate discounts that benefit charities as he says he is a franchise and doesn't have to. If he doesn't support the community, then no bother supporting his business. This owner took out all of the outside garbage bins so his employees don't have to empty them - bad choice when dining room is closed. The owner just doesn't get what McDonalds should be about. I really don't like to leave reviews because you really can't judge a business by one bad experience but this one I couldn't help it. It was the worst location to shop at McDonald's. I ordered a big Mac meal once I got home there's only lettuce and pickles in the burger. Luckily I did not live too far drive back asked the manager to open the burger and reaction was you could've just asked for the patties. I did not realize that now everything is sold separately. Dead flies in the windows, with many flies in the dining area .Tables need cleaning. Food nice and hot grill team 100 percent cleaning staff 0 percent FAIL.. Half of the staff were sitting on break eating after the manager left. This was after she told them to CLEAN before leaving. I was in line at the time. I really hate when I have to reveal poor service. But this one begs for it. We anticipated a quick drive thru stop to grab dinner for the kids on the way home. But that is NOT what we got! We arrived to find 1 car in drive through... we thought "not bad"", let's order"... Well the once 2 car line quickly grew to be 7 or 8 cars (or more since we couldn't see everything beyond the corner of building behind us.. and our "fast food" wait extended to 40 minutes! Upon arriving at the 1 window (serving as both payment as well as food pickup since the payment window was closed) we were greeted by a friendly young woman who informed us that they had "only 4 people in the whole building". We picked up (& checked before leaving) our $40 plus order... and we're not surprised to find they'd forgotten 2 large fries. The clerk cheerfully handed is the 2 large fries per request. Wow, we felt pity for the staff & disappointment that, once again, we're able to witness employee exploitation & customer devaluation that McDonalds is sometimes known for. This establishment is sad; the staff are rude and unprofessional, the fries that were being "freshly cooked" were soft, the servers forgot sauce in my order and when I politely asked for the sauce, I was accused of stealing and told to give them my bag to dig through-as if I had sauce in there already. There was not much of a line in the drive through but it took forever to place my order, and she rushed me and cut me off as I tried to place it. The guy working at the pickup window had long hair that wasn't tied back and the female had 2 inch fake eyelashes hanging off her eyelids-it looked like they could fall in the food at any moment. No one goes to McDonald's for a 5 Star meal, but they don't go for piss poor service either this place is a disgrace. read more

I have visited this location 3 times in the last week because I happened to be driving by. Twice, all I wanted was a drink and the third time was for a meal. The first two times, I waited in the drive thru for an excessive amount of time and ended up just driving away. Fortunately, both times it was before I even ordered, because although I pulled right up to the ordering speaker, no one would take my order, despite me saying "hello" after waiting for 5 full minutes! The third time the drive thru wasn't moving so I sent my daughters inside because the very few cars in the parking lot made me think that there's no way they would make them wait long at the counter. I want to like this McDonalds location, but I find that no matter how hard I try, it just isn't possible. There are several factors which contribute to the two star rating I have given: Service- 1 star: Every time I come here, it seems like the staff are yelling at each other. Sometimes I have to wait awhile for my food. Value- 2 stars: Let's face it, the prices of items at all McDonalds locations have jumped by leaps and bounds over the past few years. As a result, I don't come to this particular location as often. Neighboring restaurants offer cheaper options or better food. For example, I can get a burger at the Steak & Shake across the street for way cheaper, or I can go next door to Applebees and get a much better meal for only a couple dollars more. Dinning In-1 star: If you have kids with you, you're better off traveling 2 miles to the McDonalds on the corner Michigan Ave. and Carpenter due to the fact that that location features a play area and video games. Compared to other locations, this McDonalds is rather minimal on the inside. Drive through-3 stars: meh, it is what it is. Nothing fancy here although it is convenient that it is located close to a Meijer and Target so you can grab a quick meal on your way home after shopping. The worst Mc Donald's I have been at! Went to order my breakfast and was told I had to use kiosk. I told her that I didn't want to use kiosk she said we're short handed. Just went through McDonald's drive-through. They totally messed up my order Antoine, who was a very arrogant manager told me he wouldn't give me my money back wasn't gonna give me no food to get out of the store and I assaulted him I'm 60 years old. It is a McDonald's so I won't go much into the food. It is standard McDonald's fare and done as expected. The service is usually good but sometimes it seems the staff gets a little frazzled. When I go, it is usually for breakfast and can be hit or miss on how busy it is. Atmosphere is middle of the road. Not a posh McDonalds (is there such a thing) but not terrible. Clean but not necessarily as clean as I would eat a dropped fry from the table...maybe using a 3 second rule. :) There are some great staff that are very friendly and others are there just to do their job. No complaints about this location. I've seen better and I've seen worse McDonalds. read more
