The midnight crew working on April 10, 2018 must have been high as a kite. Our simple order of #2 with 2 double cheese burgers took close to 20 minutes to create. The drive through cashier couldn't make simple change. The order came out to 11.01 and we handed her a 20, a 1, and 1 cent, expecting 10 dollar bill in return. Their calculator must have been broken and couldn't do public math. 20 minutes later, we got our food... but had to wait an additional 58 seconds to get the drink that came with a combo meal. Let me tell you people something. McDonald's pretty much have a bad rap all around the world, so for me to come here and tell people that this McDonald's has to be the best fucking McDonald's ever, is a serious deal. Tonight I bought a southwest salad with an Iced coffee. This salad is freaking amazing. The grilled chicken was so fresh - even had a glaze over it. (And if it's someone's bodily fluids - let me tell you - you taste amazing.) Now you're probably going.."Yeah..salad.. okay.. But how does anyone fuck up a salad?" Let me tell you - easily. So I live in Gladewater. This trashy pit of a McDonald's out here, which was a nice place all of 1 months of it's opening; I went to go get this salad I eat regularly over there once before WO Mcds opened. They told me.. "Sorry we're out of salads." So I tells the lady - Then just make me one - can't be that hard amirite? Manager gets all pissed off at me, tries to sway her way out of even serving me. I tell her.. Look man.. Throw some lettuce in a bowl, throw some cheese in that bowl. Throw a chicken on my bowl. Charge me for one of your "fancy" salads. I just want this damn salad. Maybe I was being a bit of a dick this day, but their altogether attitudes started it. Let me tell you another story about gladewater. So I order 2 large coffees, right? Pay - Get to the end of the road - Girl hands me two small coffees. "Sorry sweety, I ordered large, I'll pay the difference" "Uh. No. You Ordered Small. *proceeds to try to make me take it* "Uh no. I didn't, I don't want this small coffee, I want large." "Well you already paid so this is yours." "I don't want that, I want large." *without looking away from me* "Well everyone else heard you say small, so this is yours." **ten minutes later after refusing to get a manager for me and continuously trying to make me take this coffee I didn't want** Manager pops in and charges me for large coffees -not the difference- LIKE WHAT WHY IS IT THAT HARD TO GET FUCKING COFFEE MY DUDE. So, it was a god send when they opened white oaks McDs. They have always been so friendly. So helpful - even if they did make a mistake, they fixed it and sometimes fluffed me up for making a mistake. That sweet older lady who runs drive through in the mornings- Love you. The cute curly haired girl at night who squees when she sees my dog. - You're amazing. Those two manager/shift leader guys who always seem to be a bit sweaty. - Dudes - You guys are the mother fucking shit. (P.S. These two dudes who left reviews before me. We have always been happy with this location in White Oak, TX. Most of the employees are nice and we always get what we order until now. Several days now we have ordered Mocha frappes and we continue to be told the machine is down. Today, I was told their frappe machine is going to another location nearby and they are not even certain it will be replaced. WHAT??? Under new Owners. I was hoping things would improve. I was wrong This is a McDonald's let's get this straight so I am comparing to others I have been to all of the state and country. The food is what you would expect, definitely better than the Gladwater location. The service is subpar for sure. not very good on customer service. I had an order wrong called in talked to the manager. The manager said he was sorry and he would take down my info so I could get the order replaced and he gave me his name and told me to tell the drive-thru to say he okayed it. I went in the next week. The manager did NOT write my info down and no one works at this location with the name he gave me. This McDonald's has to be the worst ever. Every single time I go in there the credit card machines aren't working. It's almost to the point that I am suspicious that the employees say that to pocket your money. This problem has come about so many times that I have completely given up on going to this McDonald's. I have no problem with the people taking the orders or giving out the orders. However, my problems are with the people who make the burgers, fries, etc. Give a simple instruction such as "No pickles" and one gets a double load of ketchup, onions, mustard, etc. Food is often barely warm--cheese won't melt. Occasionally, the one giving out the food doesn't wipe the cup before handing it to you and it will be coated with soda drops which makes the cup sticky. read more
