We ordered a variety of drinks from the "try something new" menu for a group of people. The drinks we ordered were the Chunky Monkey, Bobbie's Drink, and Cinnamon Roll. All the drinks were well-prepared, delicious, and served at the right temperature. We signed up for their loyalty program, which can easily be accessed by entering your phone number. With a large order for multiple people, we had already built up to a free drink. We look forward to returning and supporting this business again when we are in the area and have told family members about it who live nearby.

I've gone on many little coffee dates with my husband and toddler and they're so social with my child, make him little frappe drinks like "pup cups" you'd get at Starbucks and cookies. This place, from the taste of it already, went a little lighter on the sweeteners but still had enough of a touch that it tasted really good. No regrets. The iced coffee was great! I always forget about iced coffee when I'm at a coffee shop, because I just usually order a hot black coffee. I'm so stuck in my ways, sometimes! But iced coffee was a good choice in this situation, and it came with a little vanilla cream, which was unexpected but a nice indulgence. The Grind is located right across the street from West Virginia University. It was packed when I visited, and I imagine it is almost always packed, because of its location. But the people who work here are very efficient and friendly, and my iced coffee was ready lickety-split. I got my coffee to go, but there are some tables inside the coffee shop to sit and relax, if you wanted to. One of my favorite things about The Grind is that they have a confession box in the restroom. I left a little confession in the box, because it promised that the box was "a safe place to share what you can never tell a soul," and I felt that I could trust this random coffee shop in West Virginia with my whole heart.
