Well, I have to say I never really thought I would give a Dennys (or any other casual dining chain really) 4 stars for anything unless I was RIP-roaring drunk at 3am. But this time I came in for breakfast, and was seated quickly, the waitress was nice and with what I ordered she switched things up a bit so it would save me a few bucks (which went straight onto the tip). I got the American slam and a coffee, and try as I might, that cup just never got empty. She was on some kind of mission to make sure the bottom of that cup never saw the light of day. The eggs were fluffy and well seasoned. The hashbrowns had cheese, and were crispy, and the meats were flavorful without being an over-sized or dry mess. Pretty impressed with the food and service I received here on a Sunday morning. It was $20 including the tip, which I feel was a pretty good deal for the quality of food and service I received. What can I say, it's Denny's. We don't typically eat at chain restaurants but we're in a pinch and this was the only breakfast place open so we went as we were traveling through. It has been a while since I had been to a Denny's but we have tired of most places and this was a nice change. Our waitress was friendly and attentive without hovering. I ordered the fish dinner which was cooked well. I added the fruit as a side and it was some of the best I have had in the recent past. Fresh and tasty. As with most Denny's it's a little dated with the carpets but If i was a manager/owner i would look at replacing the carpets in any of the stores and give it a fresh going through. read more

Food was subpar for $50. My chicken on my sandwich was almost too tough to chew. My husbands waffles were so sweet he couldn't stand more than a couple bites. His "meal" was so overpriced for the portions as well. I got onion rings with my sandwich and for there being an upcharge you think there'd be more than about 5 on your plate. Definitely don't recommend. Only reason I gave it two stars is because we got it in a timely manner and our server was good. Manager sucked though. read more

Used to be one of our favorite restaurant. But as of late the food and service has really been lacking. We went on my husband birthday for a quick dinner as he loves breakfast. He has always gotten the same thing. He has always ask for Over easy eggs with his breakfast server said they couldn't do it. He has always gotten it this way. Here and any other Dennys he has been to. my sons biscuit was like a rock. my other son gagged eating his chicken fried steak. They forgot my mushrooms on my burger and burnt it. We thought okay just a bad night. So yesterday we go back just me and my husband. Food did not taste too bad this time. Waitress was nice. But when she brought my husband a refill on his coke.There was lipstick bright pink on his rim. We had to call waitress over to exchange. Now needless to say me and my husband are both sick since. Their atmosphere is sticky, syrup was all over my pants. It is filthy there. Their food is okay but the wait times are bad. When I took a sip of my soda and maple syrup was in my soda! It's impossible to leave without being sticky. But when I leave my house in not sticky but I'm Shure as hell I get sticky as hell when I go there. The staff was very unpleasant and sticky. Terrible! I ordered salmon which was dry as a bone, so dry I could hardly swallow it. The portion sizes of the side vegetables were ridiculously small. I would have been ashamed to serve it. I complained but all they did was stare at me. Never ever again! read more

Denny's is pretty reliable and always has been, but it suffers from a service issue at times. This visit from seating to food was actually speedy and pretty good. Had the Fit Fare veggie skillet and really felt the food was cooked well. They do an excellent job in the kitchen turning out good quality food in my experience with this Denny's. The issue came while waiting for our check. After the food was served, our server just disappeared. Poof! Missing server. We're done eating and sitting there waiting patiently for our check. 10 mins pass and my mother is getting impatient so I send her to the car thinking perhaps the lady will stop by to see if maybe we need anything. Nope, 10 to 15 more mins pass and I can't even get her attention. She literally by passes our table and ignores attempts to catch her eye. At this point I'm over waiting so I just head to the register. Using a gift card, there's usually an option to leave tip with the card. Except the lady rings out and when I ask her about putting tip on, she's like well it's too late you should've said something. At this point, I'm weighing whether I'll ever come back to this place and what not leaving a tip will do. I solider on and find some ones to leave on the table but was sorely tempted not to. Denny's review 12.18.14 Intro: Greeted and seated quick. Not much to say about intro. LOL. Order 1 (Mine): Bacon and scrambled eggs: Mine tasted really good, portions were really small though. I got extra bacon though which was nice! However I don't think anyone would be able to top my own scrambled eggs..he he. Order2 (Husband's): Some kinda skillet: he really liked his. Order 3 (Sis): Don't remember what she got when I talk to her I'll add it he he. She did like it though. Service: We had Rhonda and she was very attentive, very nice, and worked well with our "weary traveler" demands he he. Very friendly and was thorough. Wifi Note: (reason for the star decrease) I noticed the wifi wasn't open and I had her check on that for the password "WVDenStar" was the network name (they used a weirdly named one before) and I thought they password protected it after a while and she went to get the password but she said that wasn't theirs and said there wasn't but she was very nice about it . I think they got rid of their wifi which is sad. Sometimes you can pick up the "Lowe's Guest Wifi" though. I couldn't so I had to use my phone's hotspot so I can transmit my work data on the handheld scanner. Overall 4.2 stars. read more

I've been to this Denny's several times. The food is just okay. Breakfast tends to be greasy. Everything in this restaurant seems to have a sticky film on it. The staff are friendly and reliable. During my most recent visit, I ordered the California Club. It should have had avocado on it, but it was missing. I heard the lady at the table next to us complain because she had gotten the same thing and it was also missing avocado. I got dippable veggies with my sandwich and the celery was old and limp. This is not my favorite place, but a good option if you are looking for late night dining. read more

The food and service was fine. However when I was checking out I discovered this particular Denny's does not accept the usual AARP discount as advertised. I have eaten at Denny's for years all over the country and this is the first time I have ever been denied the AARP discount. As an alternative, I ask is the had a discount for military retirees and again the answer was NO. Seniors, go somewhere else. Plus the waitress was an older lady who's been at this establishment for a while and her personality and facial mannerisms are quite off putting! Asked to have a coke instead of tea she gave me a look and asked for fresh dressing and I got the stare, and her service wasn't the best because she was too busy behind the server station arguing and threatening to fight another waitress for whatever reason and my drink sat empty along with everyone else's at the table while she bumped her gums! I took my kids to eat here a few weeks ago we ordered 6 drinks 4 ice waters and 2 soda I'm not sure if the waitress was new or not I'm a responsible and understanding person but she spilt the whole tray all 6 drinks one right after another on my and my 9 year old daughter my daughter has a broken arm so her cast was SOAKED we froze the remainder of the time we were there because we were soaked she didn't even offer us napkins I had to ask for them not only they the didn't even take anything off our bill everything we had on the table was ruined as well VERY unprofessional I'll never go there again not after the way we were treated the only reason it got 1 star is because it wouldn't let me not pick any read more

Do yourself a huge favor and go the extra mile to look for a non-chain breakfast place using Yelp. One will stand out. Go there if you want better food and service. This Denny's is ok. I went in to have dinner because they sent me a 20% off coupon to my email come to find out this Denny's does not accept coupons off your cell phone so I told him I hadn't AARP 15% off membership I had ordered 40 like $40 worth of food to take home and I also had something to eat always there the food they brought out at first the salmon was way over cooked taste like cardboard so I sent it back and got some chicken then when the check came and I was going to check out they told me I couldn't use my coupons neither one of them I told them that they could keep the food and I would only pay for what I ate so instead of giving me the discount they decided to take back and throw away $35 or the food instead of giving me and $8 discount very poor management will never go back to this Denny's again read more
