This your typical McD's fast food joint with their regular brand menu offerings. As an occasional to seldom junk food eater I've over the years dutifully tried everything on their menu at least once. So as to make it easy to gage each of these places, if and when I do try them, I've devised a scale of 1 to 5 with 1 being outright down and dirty nasty, and 5 being the best a fast food joint can be! When zi walked in on a Saturday morning, I was surprised to see that they were offering some limited seating inside the restaurant. I did witness the Cashier refuse service to someone who did not have a mask, which would be the first time for me to see something like that to down. I ordered two breakfast burritos which seemed to have a different price than last year. During a worldwide pandemic, this restaurant has decided it would be in their best interest, and the best interest for the community, to actually raise their prices. To use $1 breakfast burritos are now a thing if the past. The exact same burrito now costs $1.60. Go figure. Solid choice but nothing outstanding, although compared to other McD's in the DMV this place is above the subpar average. The restaurant was busy after 10pm on a week night. There were two policemen leaving with drinks when I arrived so it must be ok if the cops eat here. The parking lot is well lit and plenty of space. The drive thru looked like it was moving well. I ordered inside because I had a 2for1 on qpc from the receipt survey following a visit to a different location. There was no line at the counter, one person waiting on an order, and a few diners in the seating area. As I suspected the coupon/receipt caused some confusion for the cashier, so a manager took care of that and then the cashier came back and finished the order. The food arrived faster than it took me to place the order. The fries were crispy and warm, slightly too salty, overall 4/5. Unfortunately, there is no ketchup dispenser and no packets in my bag. I filled my drink with rootbeer but it was really bitter like the syrup was too low or Barqs switched to diet so I dumped it out and went with Dr. Pepper instead which was fine. I would have filled out the survey for another free qpc, but the server took my receipt and trashed it. Overall, the best McD's in this part of the DMV, so if it's late and you're hungry and driving through, skip other locations and come here instead. read more

The drive through is one of the poorer set ups I've seen at a fast food joint. First, there's the monster winding hill. If you're in a manual, you're really going to want to head inside. Second, everything is set up in a straight line, so those two ordering screens they have are useless - everyone will just use the first screen they hit, rendering the second moot and slowing down the line. Second, even though there is space after the order screens to split the lines and have employees take payment and run food, they don't take this step - more slowing down for the line. On a busy Sunday, you'd think they'd deploy some basic line management techniques, but naw. Good luck if you're in a rush (or better yet, go inside). read more

As I await my oil change I wondered down Georgia Avenue to grab breakfast. I am not the biggest McDonalds fan but there has to be something the famous eatery has to offer. And as a new resident I don't know a lot of places. I go in and I take what seems an eternity to order. The menu hasn't really updated with the times. Finally I go to the counter endure five minutes of flirting by the cashier and a second of order taking. I am married and wearing my wedding band but this isn't the only detail he will missed. As I get my food, I realized I was given a sausage egg and cheese muffin. I haven't eaten pork in decades so I promptly return to the front. The cashier response is to ask what's on my receipt and suggest this must be what I really ordered. I am a little confused why he couldn't just switch it out. When I ask for the manager a little taken back by the response, I am informed with no receipt this is going to a problem. I left everything there and walked out.
