Reluctantly, one of my work week lunch stops. This location consistently has bad service (staff not well-trained and always seems to turn over). The front lobby layout is horrible, as they've installed multiple order kiosks which crowd the already tight space and have only one person at a register. Usually, that person has so much difficulty taking and getting the orders correct. Perhaps they stick all their new employees there, but with little to no oversight. I usually go through the drive thru which is much better than inside. The inside has its own issues, a soda machine that often needs cleaning/re-stocking of lids, straws are kept at the front counter, away from the soda machine, and napkins and condiments must be requested from the already busy staff. They still provide to your-table delivery when your order is ready, however yesterday I didn't receive a number placard, so the young man walked right by us twice, before calling out my order number. I ordered a burger with "no onions" and of course got onions. The parking lot is shared with a Panda Express, Applebee's and Panera Bread, so it can be tough to find a spot at times. This McDonald's is super convenient since it's right near the busy intersection of Grand and Valley Street. It's located in a bustling shopping center, so you can easily get in and out, especially if you're using the drive-thru. Despite the crowds, it's pretty straightforward to access, which I appreciate. I've had a couple of frustrating visits here lately. Last time, I paid for a medium Dirty Dr. Pepper and got a small and had to ask them to fix it. Today, my Happy Meal came with a Hi-C instead of the sweet tea I asked for, and I had to request a swap. When I asked about upgrading the drink to a dirty Dr Pepper I was told management doesn't allow that anymore, even though the kiosk still shows the option and I've done it here before. I always use the MCD app to order at this location because they have 2 drive-throughs and they move quickly. They also miss giving some items when they are busy. (so make sure you double-check your order before driving away) Their fries are made fresh and crispy. This McDonald's location is located next to Mt Sac and Cal Poly Pomona so it is always extremely busy. Unfortunately due to it always being busy, they often mess up orders. I ordered a 6 pc chicken nugget happy meal and a filet o fish without tartar sauce. They forgot my fries in my happy meal, didn't give me any of the sauces I ordered, and didn't give me any napkins. I found myself having to go up to the counter several times to ask for things and it took a while to get a worker's attention due to how busy it is. I would prefer to go to a different McDonald's over this one if I have the time to drive to a different area. read more

One star for good WiFi access One star for quickly getting order ready Came here for breakfast and to study for a couple of hours. Ordered from kiosk. Sat down and there were many tables available but no plugs so make sure you have fully charged laptops or have portable chargers. Table I wanted to sit at was just cleared by 2 customers and a worker was kind enough to clean up before I sat down. Connecting to WiFi was easy. This was important because I left my hotspot at home. I needed a good 2 hrs to get work done. When food came, I asked about coffee refill. It was rudely answered with "yes but only one refill". Could not help but be taken aback by the tone. It's McDonald's coffee for heavens sake, count yourself lucky someone is willing to drink it, but whatever. My other reason for pulling a star was ordering through the app for table side service. I entered my table number and continued my studying. Then apparently my order came up and worker kept yelling it. Maybe it was me but I got a little more than annoyed, was this their version of table service? Walk yourself up to the pick up counter and get your own food. Anyhow I finished my homework and was glad so that I was out of there. This was my FIRST and ONLY and LAST time going here. If you need more details, I'll be next door at Panera. I don't know why I continue to give this location a chance. They have management that just don't care. Once again I had an awful experience at this location. Ordered the new grinch meal and waited forever. Finally someone comes out to tell me they ran out of the socks. They don't offer any substitution for that missing item and tell me I have to call customer service for a refund. I'm giving the place 4 stars because their ice cream machine was working and the workers were extra friendly when I visited. Obviously, the drive thru could be better, but being that this is a fast food chain, they do an alright job aft keeping things orderly. We had to wait, then our order is ready. Good thing we counted, the bag only had 20!
