I had a coupon for a free yogurt parfait if I purchased an oatmeal. The guy at the register didn't read it correctly and instead he gives me an iced coffee instead of the oatmeal! He can't open the register so he asked for help. I waited and waited and no one came to help him!! I got fed up and left. 1. Hire someone who can read coupons. 2. Give access to the people running the register to open up the register after a mistake is done. 3. When a colleague needs help, it would be great if one of his coworkers could help. I am disappointed that the server was unable to get my order correct. I asked for the breakfast that included eggs, hash browns, sausage and an english muffin. She called it a McMuffin which confused me but she explained it. The order came out with pancakes and bacon which is not what I ordered and explained to her again what I wanted - eggs, hash browns, sausage and muffin. "Oh." And you probably charged me for the larger order with pancakes which is not what I ordered", "Yes." - "ok then, can you bring me the right order please?" She came back with eggs, hash browns, a muffin and bacon. By now I was flustered. "This is not what I ordered. I explained it to you three times and it's still not correct. You know what, I'm disappointed with the service so I'm going to leave and you can give it to someone else since it hasn't been touched." I come here for lunch every day because my autistic child will only eat McDonald's fries for lunch. Yesterday, I placed my order on the app, waited 20 minutes, then an employee came out to my car to tell me that the fryer was broken and they could not make fries. In addition, they had run out of meat!!! This kind of incompetence is inexcusable, and at the very least, if they were unable to serve either fries or burgers, their two main staples, they should have shut down rather than inconvenience a lot of people. Not only is this the most expensive McDonald's around that I'm aware of, the food is the worst. Their fries are never fresh, even if you ask. Their food always tastes like it's been sitting there all day. It cost me $10 for two sundaes and a small fry and the caramel tasted burnt or something, they don't offer nuts here, and the fries were old and stale. Okay, in all honesty I am not a McDonald's fan, having been poisoned at several of their locations over the past years. However, since a good amount of time has passed since I have ordered a Hamburger from them, (about 20 years-seriously), I thought I would give it a try today. I had a craving for their Coca-Cola which is the best anywhere due to the special deal they have with Coke, and was also feeling like having a Big Mac for the first time in two decades. Big mistake. I arrived at the drive-through at 10:10 AM and was told that lunch service starts at 10:30. Really??!!. For a place that has advertised itself as a hamburger chain for decades, and now offers breakfast all day, how is it not possible to not have burgers and fries ready at a reasonable hour? Other chains offer burgers as early as 9:00 AM and some do so 24 hours. Even In-And-Out who advertises a 10:30 AM opening will begin food service at around 10:00 AM-ish in most outlets. Why the limited offering? Its their rule so screw the customer. Totally unacceptable! Looks like it will be another 20 years before I try McDonald's again, but only if they get wise and start offering burgers at a reasonable hour. Dirtiest McDonald's ever, I had to clean a table myself to sit and eat my meal in the lobby, was there for about 15 minutes and nobody cleaned the tables. A bunch of kids came to ask for water and the manager said no and send them out then she said she was too busy to give them water and she was on her phone all the time. This is one of the worst McDonalds in the Los Angeles area. Drive thru is extremely slow. They ran out of Quarter Pounders during a Sunday afternoon. Very poorly managed. Very disappointing since I am literally less than a mile from it. They actually close before 10pm so it's extremely inconvenient if you want a late night snack. read more

Shocking, I know. 4 stars for McDonald's? But it's because every single time I've come here, the fries come out super, super fresh and hot. And the number one best thing about McDonald's are their fries when they're done well, IMO. They are literally always so hot, I sometimes come here JUST for the fries! Okay now I sound like an addict. ;) Everything else I've ordered usually comes out well. Chicken nuggets can be overdone at times. Big issue!!! Fix the outdoor lighting by the drive up order thing. It flashes and flickers like a haunted house effect. The food is just not good and i mean it "Mcdonalds" it should be simple you cook it how its supposed to be and put it together its not rocket science. I worked for the McDonald's in Sunland for three years as a teenager and that one at least the food is good. I go to this location cause its closer im done i can take the sub par crap they make here at the tujunga location any more. How freaking hard is it to make a filet o fish and NOT over cook it and how hard is it to put on an acceptable amount of tartar sauce. This is pathetic and its like this EVERY TIME!! The only reason this restaurant is in business is because of the franchise name. I can see why the reviews are horrible, you really have to be bad to get less than 3-4 stars for an international chain! Drive Thru: they have gone back to not displaying your order as it is entered. I can see why. A couple weeks ago I went through, ordered 2 Quarter Pounders and other items. I get to the window, pay and happen to look at the receipt. 2 Quarter Pounders WITH CHEESE. Menu items, sure, but not what I ordered. Went through the whole thing, AGAIN, 2 Quarter Pounders. No cheese. Billed, 2 Quarter Pounders With Cheese -Cheese. Think they remove the cost of the cheese? No. Ghost up-sell? I doubt it. As for the manager, get 'shift supervisor', go through the whole thing, AGAIN. I explain that right at the intercom, I stated 2 Quarter Pounders with NO CHEESE. I always reiterate that, always, because, well, experience. "She'll talk to them about it", then it takes 10 minutes to figure out how to refund me for the cheese I didn't order. 2 Weeks later. Same drive through. Same order (yeah, creature of habit). The only difference was this time I was asked sandwich or meal. Well, if I'd wanted the MEAL I'd have said MEAL or ordered by the number. Its not that hard. Should have known better. Get home and what do I find? 2 Quarter Pounders with CHEESE. I go back, ask for the manager. Same intercom operator, same shift supervisor, same conversation and no, I did not keep my voice down this time. Her response was "well, WE (making circle with finger to include crew) all understand that a Quarter Pounder is WITH CHEESE." Really? And they wonder why the rating. No, its printed ON THE MENU. Its is CONSISTENT across the country (35+ States and counting) and the one reason to to McDonalds is CONSISTENCY. The menu is the same. The food is the same. You get exactly what you expect. No surprises. No surprise onions, no surprise other food allergies. No surprises. The manager CAN'T UNDERSTAND why this is important! If it was possible to give negative stars, I would, and it would be a justifiable action. Customer service is the worst. Management is incompetent, and frankly, revels in being so. I've spoken to managers of this establishment many times over 20 years. I've even (finally) gotten the owner to call me to say he was unaware and offer apologies and lots of freebies (which I turned down, I only want what I ask for and what I pay for).
