9th person to review McDonald's, The Dalles, Oregon. This is my 367th review. McDonald's... what is there to say? Unless you've been living under a rock, or in Antartica, McDonald's is pretty much the same. Burger and fries, perhaps a coffee or milkshake. This McDonalds did its job well-- it fed a traveler quickly, with warmth well-balanced food. The staff worked hard, gave nothing too special in the form of customer service (usually a teen barely learning), and offered a clean environment. This location has a Redbox on the inside, which was something I hadn't seen inside a McDonalds (usually on the outside). **MdDonalds as a whole** I am not a true McDonald's fan, but I am of their Ronald McDonald House charity. In 2001, my newborn was life flighted to Sacramento Ca, a land unknown to her young parents, as she was very ill. Ronald Mcdonald gave us 20-year-old parents a place to lay our head, shower, and eat while our baby was fighting for her life. They do that for hundreds of families all over the world EVERYDAY. I live in Boise, Idaho and we have a local home here for parents and families of children being treated at the Children's hospital downtown. The reason I am telling you this is to please throw your change in the little red thing that's under the money taking window and if you have extra things to donate, please remember the good that RMH charities do for families! read more

Been to almost any McDonalds across 3 states but this one McDonalds every single time I order fucks it up kinda getting tired of the carelessness they have read more

The service was fast and polite! The car ahead of me must have had a longer order, as I had only ordered an ice tea with a small amount of lemonade, and they promptly had that car pull over so that my wait was minimal!! They also are very accommodating to make ice tea to my request, especially given that was all I ordered at that time! read more

Mcdonalds breakfast fast is awesome, I do have a complaint about this location. When you pull up to the speaker , the employees greet you with- are you using the mobile app? No good morning, no welcome to McDonald's, may I take your order? ( I do always use the mobile app, and it's great ). But the same experience at the window to pick up the order. No hello, no good morning, no thank you for coming to McDonald's? It makes me feel like the workers are unhappy, or maybe trained to not be polite? For speed ? Idk. I would think a greeting of good morning, or a thank you would be something service personal should be trained to do . The drive-thru line was pretty long but they made good use of the parking spots to pull people out of the way while waiting for food. Staff was friendly, my order was correct, and the fries were nice and hot. My go-to quarter pounder with cheese (no onions) was exactly as I expect. Dining room was closed, I assume due to COVID protocols. read more

Weasels. After ordering a meal from the app,was overcharged,(window employee failed to scan it correctly),then when the order came,the burger was dry and appeared to have been sitting for quite some time,despite this being lunch hour.Several ingredients were missing and when I tried to call to get a replacement,the phone would ring and ring unanswered until an ear-piercing screech of a fax machine sound would come on.The drink lid (employee's only job is to put lid on,drink fills itself) of one of the drinks was not secure and spilled everywhere making the carrier soggy enough to fail,adding to the problem. finally after finally contacting the manager,in an obstinate tone he argued I was at fault for being overcharged,then sent a replacement burger (which wasn't much better,but technically all there) without an apology or any admission of mistake.These employees seem not to care at all about the food they serve or the customers they serve it to. read more

How is the place surviving, I imagine the flow of travelers, highly doubtful locals visit here. Customer service, the guy behind the counter holding my t down and needs to applauded. Ew!! This place was disgusting!! When I think of McDonald's I think of good artificial burgers and tasty fries! It's like I was in the upside down! I wasn't surprised there wasn't a demigoron outside the window! Ya go here is you like eating artificial sandwiches that taste like they have been spit on and stepped on. They didn't have decaf coffee in the evening and weren't willing to make it. Really?!!!

When ordering through the drive through I had multiple missing items and I went back through to get them because looking on the receipt I paid for them. The staff was very rude and had poor customer service along with not allowing me to get a refund or the missing items. Once getting home upset, about not getting all the food I ordered or a refund, I realized the food I did receive wasn't correctly made either. Extremely disappointed with not only the food but the staffs attitude as well. read more

Well, I appreciate that back door some McDonalds have near the restroom was open. Restroom was clean but towel dispenser empty. As for food, I was shocked at prices. I knew beef was on the rise but The Dalles seems to capitalize on location. Motel 6 in this town wanted $89.99 for their "clean, comfortable room." I ordered an iced coffee because Starbucks was closed for the evening. $2.99 for iced brewed coffee? Yowza! It took a few minutes to be delivered, too. Staff seemed to get along but not necessarily in team work. read more

Just getting egg white breakfast sammys through the drive through. The guy accepting cash was real nice, accepted the coupon, very nice, especially after a busy thanksgiving morning. Give em the Pickle! A nice little McDonald's with a play area. Staff was nice, food was hot. For that reason it's two stars instead one. Why not five - They charged us for water. There is little more is denial of customer care and service that a restaurant can do than charge for water. This principle reflects the lack of care whoever makes policy at this restaurant has. I chatted with the manager about this and they were good about it, but as I explained to them. I never leave a positive review when charged for water. You just don't do it. Not a cent. Went here for a quick lunch while on the way to Sisters, Oregon. Just your typical McDonald. Manager was real nice and the place looked clean. I ordered the Chicken Strips meal and given Mcdonalds reduced the size of the ranch and honey mustard sauce due to some idiot complaining it made them fat, the mananger gave me a few extra since one packet would take care of half a strip! Its right off interstate 84 so easy access if you are on a raod trip and want a quick bite to eat. read more

Employees are ALWAYS friendly - that can be a novel experience, retail wise. And there is a Wednesday night special on Happy Meals for the kids. Super cheap. read more
