I opened the sandwhich to see if they forgot an ingredient .I my dismay I saw a quarter sĺìce of shivered of Canadian bacon. I usually do the drive-thru, which usually goes fine. Every once in a while I go inside, and usually find there is no one at the counter and you have to wait a while for anyone to show up. Today I put a mobile order in, joined the group of people huddled around the counter waiting for service, and anytime an employee did come into view they didn't address any of us to ask if we'd been helped or what we needed. Eventually, about 20 minutes after I submitted my mobile order, they put it out on the counter, but no employee ever spoke to me or any of the others milling about waiting. At the very end someone showed up at the cash register to take someone's order. I think they need to hire more staff for customers who come in to the restaurant. read more

After prom my daughter and friends attempted to go here. They were turned away at the door immediately and were denied service due to not wanting to serve a bus. So in one week I had 2 visits to this location. The first I ordered the new. Mcrispy chicken strips and 2 happy meals. The strips were disgusting. They seemed almost half cooked not crispy at all. The happy meal's barely had any fries . The little containers that hold them were not even half full and they were dried out. The second visit I picked up my 2 happy meals and drove home only to find they had no fries at all in the happy meals. I drove back and went in snd asked for the manager. He trudged up to the counter looked at me with utter disdain and asked me "what is your problem" well as you can tell by the review I would like for you to take a little pride in your work. I went to this specific McDonald's multiple times; my family and I have, and it has consistently screwed us over. McDonald's at 5288 W Genesee St, Camillus, NY 13031. First we used the mobile app and ordered a large sprite, large fries, and a double quarter pounder with a free one due to a deal. The establishment not only messed the order up, after we submitted it, but when my father went in to get his order corrected, one of the associates did a HUGE no-no and dropped a row of cups onto the floor. Mistakes happen, right? WELL... The associate picked them up and placed them back onto the usable rack... RIGHT!? Who does that!?!? So not only did they mess up various orders on a slow day, they are also very unsanitary. I feel like I should never step foot or car wheel back onto that lot! This is the most DISGUSTING fast food restaurant I've ever been to! I don't think it's been clean once since it was opened. It's a busy location, but that is not an excuse. I will be contacting corporate. I've been here a couple times and each time and it's always the same or worse! Sadly, there are few McDonald with indoor play spaces, but I'm beginning to understand why. Plus major safety concerns with the layout and side door. Terrible they treat the customers of the car service like garbage. I was ordering for my family at the car service and there were 30 hours left to close and after I had almost finished my order they told me we are limited to taking orders because there are 30 minutes left to close. This is a favorite spot for the kids whenever we're in town. The kids love the indoor play area(tree house) and can keep them occupied for over an hour. Best thing is to use it as a reward to get them to finish their food. The workers here are nice and one of the ladies that cleans up is exceptionally nice and always smiling at the kids. Food wise, the burgers are usually nice and hot and the fries crisp from the fryer. I haven't yet had a lukewarm burger or fries that seem to have been sitting out for a while. I have been a customer at this McDonald's for many years, but don't come as much as I use to because of the service I get now. Today was in a hurry and went through drive through. Asked for fish meal with fresh fries. I got ice cold fries, asked for new ones. They took back the bag and I waited. They came out with new fries but no sandwich. I had to go in to get it. Those people act and treat customers like they could careless! Got home bit down on fish sandwich, I couldn't taste the fish because of way to much tarter that fell on my lap. Stupid just stupid! How did I get my food: Doordash. The Dasher was excellent and arrived only 4 minutes after picking up the food. What did I order: Bacon Quarter Pounder w/cheese meal and a Big Mac. What did I get: I got what I ordered except for the straw. You have to opt to get one now, they do not send one by default. And even though I did check that radio button I got no straw. Why I rated as I did: I am a sucker for McD's. I worked at one in HS. I keep hoping that the horrid experiences I have at the Fairmount location will change. It's time to give up that hope. I watched the order progress through Doordash. It took much longer than it should have to go from received to ready for pickup. As stated, my once my Dasher was able to pick it up, he was here fast. Too fast for the food to get as cold as it did. Too fast for the fries to go that limp. Too fast for the ice in the Coke to be mostly melted. Also, the product (the bits that make up the sandwich, in McD's-speak) was all over the inside of the Big Mac box. I had to reassemble the sandwich when it arrived. I asked for extra onions on both sandwiches. Honestly, I felt lucky I did because there was the normal amount in spite of my request. Will I return: Probably not. There are other McD's. The one further west on W. Genesee St., and the one in Western Lights (my alma mater) are markedly superior which makes me wonder if they are owned by a different franchisee. And I am eating much healthier lately. I tried today, despite being very disappointed with this location over the last few years, because I had to scratch the itch. I wish I hadn't. I just, from time to time, get a jones for the way that the food used to taste and how it was consistent and tasty and a good value. Now, it is none of that. The food is wildly inconsistent. It is bad one time and worse the next. The assembly of the food is always poor. The taste is very bland and the fries never fail to be soggy whether I go into the restaurant, get drive thru or have it delivered. This is an issue with the restaurant, nothing else. And they are so expensive now. If you are looking for something quick and filling and don't care about how the food is made or presented, you won't hate this location. I really should learn not to go to this location. The people are always rude and they have messed up my order numerous times. This last time will be the last! They charged me for things I did not order and then got upset when I didn't want them and, god forbid, wanted my money back for what I did not order. I know this is a McDonald's and people will probably go there regardless of what I write here, but I'll share it regardless. I hate this McDonald's. My parents live nearby, so they take my kids there as a special treat. The food and service are about what you might expect. But what really sets this establishment apart (in a negative way) is the PlayPlace. LITERALLY everything is broken: the video games, the basketball hoop, and even the hand sanitizer station. And though the posted rules say that socks are required, there is no one enforcing it. Of the 15-20 kids I saw there today, there were only two with socks. I understand that it's summer, but I am certain that the whole area is rarely (of ever) thoroughly cleaned. Moral: you are better off going to a McDonald's without a PlayPlace at all: Onondaga Blvd, Salina Street, etc. The kids might be disappointed that there isn't a play area but not as disappointed as they'll be when they see how little they can actually do here. read more

When I ordered, I asked for a sausage egg mcmuffin meal, she repeated back to me "sausage mcmuffin?" I corrected her and said " the sausage and egg mcmuffin meal" I got the order of a sausage mcmuffin with out egg and not fully cooked the hash brown wasn't either. They were too busy all arguing with each other to cook the food all the way or to get the order right. When I brought the sandwich back up she told me if I wanted egg on it I had to say with egg.
