Me and my friend come here pretty often and always leave with a smile on our face regardless of how the food is. The reason being is one standalone manager, his name is hao or Kevin. We know he works hard as a manager, but though he may even sometimes express the feeling of not wanting to work there, he still has a few good qualities. Some of which conclude of always smiling around us, giving us a cups for whatever without even asking, and bring us food, but most importantly looking out for our safety. He may work at an ordinary McDonald's but he is no ordinary manager, we think he should get a raise or even a promotion, I think he's worth the effort, but what about you? read more

Went thru the drive thru for my lunch today. I preordered online. Gave my code at the front speaker and drove up to the window. I had to pull around the corner and wait. Probably because I said no onions on my burger. The food came out a minute later. My burger and fries were still hot by the time I got gone. They were very good and my Diet Coke was refreshing. The customer service here is fantastic. The restaurant is clean. I love using their kiosk to order food to get points on the app. They close their diner area early every day at 6 pm. You have to ask them to unlock the restroom door to use it. Some of the tables are still dirty. read more

Food was fine, it was hot and up to par. They forgot my barbecue sauce even though I specifically added it to the order, so it's a good thing I checked before driving off because that would've been pretty disappointing. Still, that isn't the reasoning for my low score. The low score comes from the fact that the doors to the restrooms were so stiff I genuinely had to grasp the handle with both hands and heave to get it to open and for a moment I legitimately thought I was stuck inside the restroom. After that I wanted to sanitize my hands for obvious reasons (COVID and general cleanliness), but guess what? ALL THREE dispensers were non-functional or empty. In other words, I just touched three separate HIGH-TOUCH areas that other people with dirty hands also touched and got ZERO sanitization. GROSS. read more

This location gets fairly busy, but the lines in the drive thru always seem to move at a reasonable pace. Even though their menu is the same as all other locations in the area, their quality is a lot lower. Their hash browns and fries are always soggy and their muffins are usually close to burnt and when you pair all that with the fact that their employees are pretty much useless, it's more reason not to come here. read more

In operations speak, there's less of a bottleneck with the step that usually takes the longest. This rating and review is based on the condition of the interior as with all McDonald's food its a hit or miss based on the day you arrive. Since they have re-done the interior it has made this location look very modern and appealing. The booths are comfortable and the stone floors gives it a nice warm welcome no matter the day and season. However its the minor details in which will annoy people. At the fountain drink area there are many and I mean many tiny flies that constantly hover about the area and your head. You can see them on the wall and other areas but they mostly concentrate in the upper right wall. I had thought this will be quick meal but decided let me observe the place while I eat. From the outside you would think there will be ample or more seating. But really there is about 16-17 seating area ranging from 1-4 people per booth or table. Since writing this review here at the store for the last 20 minutes I haven't seen a single employee wiping down the tables or sweeping while it's slow. The interior is brightly lit near the windows but if they want to save money they can turn off some of the overhead ceiling lights and use the windows and the natural lighting if they remove the window banners. As of this message the bathroom is clean and tidy. The transient/homeless people are ever more present and growing since SJ had cleared an area near 85 & Almaden Expwy. Some hang out in the outdoor seating area, some in cars/trucks with a camper shell and those who travel on bikes. Some bug you and some just stare at you. But I almost felt like I was in SF. Again the Loud Mouth is there and loves to bark orders. But she now does it quietly so not to annoy or bug people. She is very bossy. For example I saw her take over a register from an employee while she said go get the food I'll get the order. She has trust issues for an Asian Lady in Pink or she just wants to impress the patrons. My food was good and I have no complaints. However if the owner/operator does read Yelp reviews he/she/they should attempt to change the Day Management. After all with this So San Jose area that is fast becoming a hot spot and an appealing neighborhood it might be best to put a top notch crew here or have a more seasoned Manager coach and mentor the current management and staff. read more

Website says they close at 12. Came at 11:15 and didn't see the cones on the drive-thru that they usually put when closed. I waited at the drive thru for 5 minutes, talking into the com while I watched employees walking around inside. Eventually I had enough and pulled in, and gave a single, short beep to get their attention. One employee opened the window and yelled angrily that they're closed! Jeez lady, alright! I ordered Breakfast on the McDonald's App while I was running errands. I ordered around 10:36am, mind you the app said order till 10:59am so I leave the area and get to the McDonald's restaurant drive through about 10:43am and the woman in the drive through asks for my mobile order number and says I don't see your order, then asks if I placed it. I said yes I'm looking at my phone and my bank alerted me I was charged. Then she says oh we don't serve breakfast no more and it was like 10:49am and i didnt tell her it was breakfast. She said check your email in 2 hours you'll have an email about your order refund. I honestly feel they stopped breakfast early and started lunch. They shouldn't do that and they actually let people pay and take their time to drive there,while wasting gas and time. Like come on do your job or work somewhere else. Since when did breakfast become as expensive as dinner? $10.48 For a breakfast sandwich one hash Brown and small Orange juice $10.48 And all the profits they have they modify their drive-through to accommodate customers quicker yet this location has a cone blocking one of the sides that they spent money on building. I guarantee you simply because they don't want to fill A position And save even more money To run both sides for the customer because after all the customer is not the priority, making money is. But who is to blame for this, we are the customer because we continue to go and allow them to screw us and charge us $10.48 for a small breakfast sandwich hash Brown and a small Orange juice. This is the second time this has happened to me in the sit down dining. I don't live far from here so I'm here often. Something happened, that was the second time this happened to me at this McDonalds. I'm left nervous and shaking. Around 8 the kids and I left to have dinner. It had been a great day. We spent it with my paternal grandma, who fostered me when I was 13. Last 3 years or so I've been returning the favor by going to court to keep my greedy father and uncles from taking what she has, and out of a retirement home that she doesn't want to go into. We had Mimi's Cafe in Gilroy, went to Walmart across the street, did some shopping, dropped her off at home, kissed and said goodbye. Around 8 the kids started getting hungry. I was hungry, and I always like browsing Savers next door. (Tonight I found a pretty decent meat grinder, didn't buy it though) After the kids and I went to McDonalds. As I walked in I noticed a guy in the corner, just sort of muttering to himself. A blonde lady about my age with a 5 year old kid walked in, and he started getting louder. A few 13 year old girls walked in, my son says he was staring at them very creepily. They quickly left. We had just finished our food, and were walking back to the drink fountain when I heard and saw this guy acting out of line towards the lady and her kid. "FUCK YOU BITCH!" "I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU AND YOUR KID YOU CUNT!" "YOU FUCKING WHORE! I'LL KILL YOU AND YOUR FAGGOT KID" "YOU FUCKING CUNT!" She was on the phone, and noticed him yelling. She turned around. "YA YOU, YOU FUCKING BITCH!" She turned away, almost as if she was scared to make eye contact. I walked up and put myself between their tables. "Guy, what's your problem man? She's just eating here with you kid" "FUCK YOU TOO MAN!" I calmly told him, "I Guess you want me to twist you into a pretzel." I've developed a pretty hard look from years of working as a bouncer. At times I can be completely solid, while looking like I mean business. My brow furls, my eyes squint, all you see are 2 dark iris's staring through you. I reached for my belt but it wasn't there. I put my drink down, and stanced up ready for a fight. "FUCK YOU MAN! FUCK YOU!" The guy got up and stormed out. Meanwhile all the workers there could do was cower behind the counter. After the guy left, they ran up to the doors with their keys locking them. The woman thanked me profusely after. My daughter played with her son, we all got to know each other pretty well. We're both about the same age, raised in San Jose about the same time. Sadly we've both seen this decline in San Jose (And this is the second time I've had to chase off some delirious nutcase from that McD's) We waxed poetic on how San Jose was never like this growing up. How much worse it's gotten. Turns out her family has the same escape plan mine does. Move out to the central coast. Her goal was Monterey (We're taking our 20 years of home equity to Carmel) It's not that my wife and I can't make it here, we make plenty of money. Our mortgage is less than most rents for comparable housing, it's just what this city has turned into has reduced the value of living here to zero. The whole ordeal left me shaking afterwards. I was definitely scared. I called SJPD, and we waited around for 20 minutes, they never showed up. I told them I was worried this guy may still be in the parking lot, and I wanted them there for when I walked myself and my kids out to the car. You fucking assholes do not deserve your pay, your fucking pensions, your fancy fucking helicopters, none of it. You need to be actively getting these folks off the streets, every year we hear your shit eating excusing that, "OH THEY'LL JUST GET RELEASED FROM JAIL AND COME BACK!" Shocked at the low rating as I had a great experience here. Customer service was exceptional and food was delicious. I assume they must have had problems before because bathrooms are electronically locked and released from behind counter. That's probably why the bathroom was spotless. When we arrived, we said our order : one new iced cinnamon latte, hot chocolate, 3 apple pies. The pies that we received were cold, also the hot chocolate tasted like caramel and was mostly filled with whipped cream. The new iced cinnamon latte tasted like water and we didn't receive it iced but hot. The cinnamon latte also just a thick layer of cinnamon just clumped on top. we waited about 10-15 min. When we got our order they didn't say a word, even when we paid they just got what we were gonna pay with and then closed the window door.
