I'm Hatin' It I don't eat fast food that often, but I do occasionally partake, maybe a half-dozen or so times a year. And when I do, I rarely bother writing a review unless the visit was particularly great or particularly bad. This was the latter. We arrived for lunch the other day and it was a complete shit-show. The Good: * This had nothing to do with the employees, as the three ladies working were busting their asses trying to get the orders out. They were just completely overwhelmed because they were understaffed for the amount of business they get at that hour. If management is reading this, they all did the best they could and maintained a good attitude. * Once the food came out, it was actually hot and fresh. * You can still order here through the app despite the no kiosk thing, but it seemed like they were having issues getting the online orders. The Meh: * No drive-thru at this location (not that it would've helped) * Another stupid move by McShitz® management is they took away the soda machine for customers to fill their own drinks. So now the already shorthanded staff has another thing to deal with. The Ugly: * No self-ordering kiosks, which could've helped tremendously, as when you only have three employees and one of them has to be taking orders during the lunch rush, it really puts the other two behind the eight ball. * There's some sus-ass activity going on around this McShitz, so lock your car and watch your food. I've seen (alleged) meth heads just walk right up and yoink people's orders as they come up on the counter, and dip out. Conclusion: Basic math: Bad management plus shorthanded staff equals not happy customers. read more

With my friend today at y drive thru. She needed a burger fast. She is diabetic and needed help. We ordered burger. To our dismay her card was declined? So we scraped up change and went back. This is mcdonalds at curtner by Fairgrounds in the plant. Can y believe the manager took her burger away from my friend. Thank God we got the change. I told manager give her burger and I will run to bank and come and pay them. Took burger back. Come on Mcdonalds you are a multi-million dollar business. You could not spare a burger for my friend in an emergency? Really really shameful. And by the way why the Frick are your prices so high. Ridiculous, ridiculous. Give us A BREAK. read more

Stopped in on our way out of town to get a drink and use the restroom. My review is in their bathroom. So they had no toilet paper in restroom and when I went to wash my hands there was no soap in the soap dispenser. Which was under a sign that says all employees must wash their hands before returning to work. My question is how do employees wash their hands if there is no soap. Gross! I let an employee know that was delivering food to curbside outside as to not embarrass the workers that were waiting on customers. read more

This McDonalds is interesting... Food was good but there's no self ordering kiosk and it was more of an older style McDonalds.

Sometimes I called this the fancy McDonald's because it has an outdoor patio. The outdoor patio is where the playland used to be, but if I recall correctly during the pandemic, they tore out the playland and just put some tables there for outdoor seating. Unfortunately, they also took out the self service, drink machines, and left an awkward table in its place. Apart from that, this is a normal McDonald's and you know exactly what you're going to get when you walk in the door. Sometimes there are strange delays and getting the food but most of the time it's what one would expect. I usually order using the app to try to make things as sufficient for myself as possible. I see that there has been a sign outside for about a year now saying that they want to tear this McDonald's down and replace it with a double lane drive-through. That seems like a bad idea to me because this is a very busy intersection and a double lane drive-through and what is a fairly small lot is going to be a lot of vehicle traffic. read more

Im a honest respectful person I order ahead because my time is very limited the app said my order was ready I told my son please get down and get it they had him waiting for 10mn I told my son come back I go. I went and got approved by Manuel Manuel said can you please give me a minute I just said maybe next time don't confirm the order if it's not ready and he seemed super upset as is he was a victim super rude I only stopped by because on my way towards where I was heading definitely don't recommend coming unless you guys love to be approached by this kind of service .never have I ever had altercations by these especially because I order mc Donald's a lot but I. Glad his other co worker helped me but to me the first impression is everything thank you but no thank you hope this helps anyone Again this is my opinion read more

I love McDonald's breakfast! The service was quick and people are kind and friendly. I highly recommend to retry the sausage egg muffin substitute for scrambled egg, that's my favorite! read more

McDonald's - Premium Roast Coffee - Burgers Near Me - San Jose, California

This McDonald's charges *significantly* more than the others in the area. A sausage McMuffin with egg was $6.19 versus $4.79 on Camden. There is no reason to pay nearly 30% more from one McD's to the next. Be sure to check the prices in the app! read more

My fries came mostly as small crumbs instead of full fries. The pieces were too small and made it unenjoyable to dip in sauce.

Look, nobody is on Yelp to see what the food is like at McDonald's -- it's a famous franchise and the food is consistent everywhere. We like this location for the service. There is no drive thru here, and that should've been a bad thing, but this place is actually really fast with counter pickup for mobile orders. So even though I have to park and get out of the car, it feels like we get the food faster because it's usually ready to go when we arrive. Whether it's true or not, I don't know, but it sure feels fast. read more

McDonald's - Steak Egg and Cheese Bagel - Burgers Near Me - San Jose, California

Over-priced food and poor food quality dominate this location. Shrinkflation is alive and well.

Service was terrible and slow waited 10 minutes just to take an order they have nice floor but no kiosks to just an order so out dated .

The food is McDonald's. No further comment needed. The place was slammed. One cashier with a line of 15.. Their music system was (is) broken but it continues to just make pulsating noises. One thing positive I will say is that the dining area looks clean. The manager was also very polite and attentive. read more

About 1 out of 4 times something is always missing from my order. It's very frustrating that they can't always get it right!

Worse mcdonalds considering the good real estate location. No drive through, very inconvenient due to limited parking spots. Fries undercooked, soft and cold. Don't bring your kids here since mangement only allows 20 minutes to eat here. Tables were dirty. Bathroom need a lock code to unopen. Very frugal with napkins. read more

My single mom doesn't cook much. I used to go to McDonald's so often that I thought Grimmis was my dad. I'm not sure why this location has so few stars. Was someone's center cut filet mignon not cooked perfectly medium rare? It's a McDonald's. I've gone for the rare pre-road trip McGriddle or ixe cream and it's been fine. Sucks that there's no drive thru, but then again, a few more steps in a day ain't going to hurt someone eating overly- salted McHeartburns. read more

The place is fine, a bit plain, but the food is still McDonalds. Oh, they are going to be rebuilding the entire McDonald's next year so this might be not that relevant then The service can be a bit slow, and they don't have a self-serve soda machine so you have to ask for a refill. And sometimes they say you can only have one refill. It's a shame since they used to have a self serve cocola machine (which I loved). The vibe is ok, nothing really that special but it works. They also have a time limit that you can stay, but it's not enforced that much. read more

Holy crap what an awful experience! Placed my order and handed over a $50. bill. Received a few coins as if I'd handed her a $20. I objected and asked for the rest of my change. The lady opened her register tray and retrieved a $20 from underneath my $50 and waved it at me. I left in disgust. read more

Went today with my barely-kempt family of five drowsey and jet lagged from Germany return. Wonderful Sam helped us and had no impatience with me at all. Even when I refused any drinks and later asked for 4 water cups after she'd finished all our food, she didn't make a rude face. She got those quickly. And when there were hasbrowns missing (emergency!) she was a blur getting new ones and knew exactly how many were missing better than I did! Later we chatted about her relatives in Germany. Such a joy to talk to her! Ten stars! I've been to this McDonald's a few times over the years and it's not very clean (old and one boarded window) and lately always missing a baby chair but don't know it. But thank you Sam for the rejuvenating morning and everyone who made the food. 'Merica!! read more

Excellent service. Horte (manager) and Sam (associate) were awesome! Always a very pleasant experience here.

I wish this McDonald's had a drive-thru. The emloyees that I've encountered have been friendly and nice. I've have no complaints on the wait times or service. The last time I came I was looking for specific happy meals toys...one of the employees was nice enough to go to the back and come back with a huge box! read more

Not sure who that girl was on the mic today around 1:20-1:30 but she has to have one of the clearest crispest voices I have ever heard at a fast food drive through. So many mumble and are difficult to understand but she was perfect. Food also came out fast and just right. read more

Fries and never good. Really bad quality. Price is slightly more for some items too. I ordered happy meals. The fries were not done. They didn't have apple slices and she didn't even tell me about it. I checked and found out and when I asked she said they had ran out. Never gave anything else instead just gave without. Also charged me for fries though the happy meal comes with fries. read more

Long day, tired, wanted quick easy comfort food. No drive thru, went in ordered Quarter Pound Deluxe - NO Cheese meal. Since he asked and I replied it didn't occur to me to unwrap my burger and check before leaving... BIG mistake.... Got home ready for my no cheese deluxe quarter pounder.... McDonald's - WRONG order! - Burgers Near Me - San Jose, California

Place has to be rating negative, bought a $20 dollar lunch for two, fries tasted super old, chicken as well. You need to check your hold times. I would have been better off eating at a gas station!!! Too boot, paid extra for the sauces, not needed as the food is going in the trash. read more

Placed a mobile order for curbside pick up. I arrived less than 15 minutes later. I was unable to notify the app that I had arrived. When I went to the counter, the store had closed out my order, did not give me the food, and refused to offer a refund or customer service hotline to resolve the issue. They cited a mobile order issue and said "Well, that just happens sometimes. You should get a refund in 2 hours". Well, it's 5 days later. I have not received a refund and disappointed in the handling of my order. It seemed shady. Also, if you are in the area, don't waste your time here. Go to the Union location. They are friendly, have never messed up mobile orders, and the food is fresher. read more

How does this place even get three stars when we all know it is the worst quality fast food quality available today. Did you know McDonald's uses 11 ingredients to make the french fries ,?! For a McDonald's that is THIS busy, I give them a 4. (besides, I oughto review since, with 2 check-ins, I'm the Duke). Ok, it's McDonald's. But for how busy this place has been each time I've been there, the service is really friendly and fast. There is very ample seating and the place is clean. fyi - if you're debating between McD's and the food truck in front of nearby Home Depot - don't do the food truck. I shit you not, I just had an asthma attack in this store. I just wanted a soda, man. The second I walked in there and smelt the unforgiving STENCH in this place, I should have turned around. Soooo, it's a pandemic and you're a McDonald's that doesn't have a drive through. You plaster signs all over saying "Drive Up and Go" to entice those who would *normally* drive past in search of a drive through because they have a 4.5 month old baby with them in the car and they don't want to unbuckle and bring a baby inside to order a cheeseburger. What would you do if you owned or managed this McDonald's? Well, I personally would make it easy for folks to order and get food delivered to their car. BUT NO, this McDonald's wanted to make it more "adventurous" for a busy mom. The drive up parking spots don't have numbers, so when you check in to pick up your mobile order and it asks which parking spot you're in YOU HAVE NO CLUE. So you end up unloading a 4.5 month old baby only to go in to make sure you get the food you paid for and simultaneously ENSURE that customer will never again grace your location with their cash. 2 stars only because the employees were at least upfront about acknowledging management's complete failure in doing THEIR ONE JOB when it comes to serving drive up and go customers properly. Oh, and they didn't mess up my order. Maybe they can transfer to the Union Ave location that actually has their stuff together. read more

I'm a long-time customer who walks from home to grab a quick meal here all the time. But I won't be coming back. Due to her language skills, the lady "helping" me kept throwing up her hands when she couldn't understand me, then deliberately turned her back and acted like she couldn't hear me while she attended to some imaginary stuff. I had a deal to scan open on my app, but had to close it to show her what hot chocolate was (lol?) yeah loooong story short, she said "talk to my manager" that manager also didn't understand English so I switched over to school-girl Spanish. Finally a higher up came over and talked to both of them, so they'd take my coupon. It had expired while I was trying to teach the lady what hot chocolate was in English, and she thought I was lying when I said it wasn't working. Yeah in the end... she gave me COFFEE. Im ALLERGIC to caffeine, my body has reactions to anything with over ~10mg in it. Then she tried to say that's what I ordered, when because she didn't speak English I legit showed her a PHOTO... yeah that experience sucked read more

Everything is good except for the coffee at 7:00 this morning. It was watery. IDK if they're not adding enough coffee grounds or adding some plain water later after brewing. I've spent way too much money here (ugh, thousands...) as it's one of few curbside options, but not sure if I'll return after today my food was delivered today around 6pm by a young man (white?, 20ish?) wearing his mask under his nose. All my other McDonalds orders at many locations have been by employees wearing masks properly. Hope they enforce this better to keep people safe. I can't risk it. read more
