THE WORST MCDONALDS LOCATION EVER!!!! The wait time at this location is absolutely absurd. Every time I put an order into the app, or go through the drive-thru, or venture inside the slow as molasses staff proves again that they can move even slower than last time. It doesn't matter if you go morning, noon, or night...you're going to wait. They can have a staff of one or one hundred...you're going to wait. It doesn't matter if you order online, drive-thru, curbside, or inside...you're going to wait. Waiting for things is part of our lives but the wait here is unreasonable...and it's for MCDONALDS FOOD!! It's not even *good* food. ITS MCDONALDS. Absolutely Terrible Service at McDonald's on Walzem Road (San Antonio) I've never experienced such poor customer service at a McDonald's before. The drive-thru workers at this location are completely incompetent and unprofessional. They're rude, impatient, and constantly yelling at customers instead of taking orders properly. They cut people off mid-sentence and refuse to let customers clarify their orders. On top of that, they hide the deals and discounts that McDonald's advertises and won't honor them even when shown proof. It honestly feels like they're trying to make the process as unpleasant as possible. This location seriously needs better training and management oversight, basic customer service, communication, and respect are clearly missing here. Service was terrible! Before placing an order at the drive-thru I asked if they have mcflurries. The worker said yes. So I ordered 3. I paid for the mcflurries and the cashier asked me to park. I waited 20 mins. Finally, I went inside and noticed 2 mcflurries sitting on the counter. One with a lid the other without a lid. They had LOTs of employees standing around. When asked for a refund, an employee started to fill a cup. They other said no they cannot give a refund so I asked for a manager. Worst place ever! I ordered 2 bacon egg and cheese Mac Griddles. One for my son to take to school, the other for me. This is what I got !!! I started driving home and said oh well I'll eat the bacon egg and cheese biscuit . Not worried that the mixed up the McDonald's griddle for a biscuit. No problem. Until..... If I could leave a half star I would. I ordered a Big Mac no middle bun, NO ONIONS! an extra slice of cheese ($1.25 cents extra). I got it WITH ONIONS!!! I tried calling (kept getting told person was on the phone it's an 800 number - so really?) I had to drive ALL the way back and Brian (idiotic manager) couldn't explain WHY my burger had onions. And the ice cream I bought from QT after leaving McDonald's the first time was melted. So if you really want McDonald's - go anywhere but the one on Walzem. Even though my receipt was correct, the ordering tag on both the burger and bag were correct my burger STILL had onions on it. There was another customer ahead of me who also had ordered hers without onions. I even warned the gentleman taking my order in drive thru that my burger was going to be complicated. I absolutely detest that middle bun and raw onions and I don't agree with each other. So for all that's good in the world DO NOT GO TO THAT MCDONALD'S. This is the worst McDonald's I've been too. Even though it's down the way from my place, I'm not torturing or wasting money again. I went through for a kids meal, (nuggets), & a medium fry for myself. I forgot I could get two kids fries. That really would've been enough had I known before I ordered the fires first. Lol Well, regardless, they all would up in the bin. After I grabbed the medium fries, not wanting to open the kids meal 1st. I grabbed my normal three fries...and they were room temperature at best. So, I busted open the kids meal. Those were colder. Put of the nearly $8 spent, I ended up eating the room temp nuggets. (I mean if you're already eating the fried pink stuff...temp is the least of your worries.) Saturday, breakfast time. 9:30AM. The store wasn't as busy as it could have been but a steady stream of customers in drive thru. Very little food was ready most were being told to park and wait. We waited 45 minutes all together. I tired of waiting and went inside where more people were waiting. Employees were yelling at each other, turning in circles and blaming each other for nothing being done. I gave my receipt to the only girl who wasn't screaming and complaining about her job. I told her that I wanted my food or a refund. She began trying to find my food while another employee who overheard me came and got in my face and stated they didn't give refunds. I very calmly stated then give me what I paid for. When she realized I wasn't going to play her ghetto games. She walked away. The girl that took my receipt finally came back with my sack after about another 3 minutes and just handed it to me. No sorry for the wait or for the rudeness nothing. The store was full of people waiting and making remarks of how terrible this was. I will never go to this store again. The manager should be fired along with the employees who think it is ok to cuss in front of customers and just be bluntly rude for no reason other than they hate their job and don't even know how to do it properly. Not only is this my second time waiting more than 20 minutes for my food- mind you it is a plain cheeseburger- not the meal. But when we finally tracked someone down to get our order, she went and got it and it was completely wrong. The receipt and the label was correct, however everything was added to the burger. I'm not sure, but I think the maximum stars you can give a McDonald's is 4. Still, it is a 4 well deserved. The few times I have come to this location have been pretty great. Both times have been in the early morning. They are at the intersection of Interstate-10 and Wurzbach so it is a very busy area; they are naturally flooded with cars. The dual drive-through system works well here and they keep cars moving fast. At first, I was thinking the first time was a fluke, but nay, both times they exceeded my expectations for speed. Despite the large crowd I was in and out (of the drive-through, mind you. It's just an expression, calm down) lickety-split. This is true for every McDonald's I suppose, but my favorite dish will always be the sausage egg and cheese mcgriddle. Those little dense beasts will always be a guilty pleasure of mine. I have regularly been buying my breakfast at this McDonald's several times a week for the past half year and visiting with friends who breakfast there. Unfortunately, the customer service here from a few key employees is terrible. One, Brenda, who handles the counter, is belligerent and never welcomes anyone with a smile. She repeatedly gets customer orders wrong, including my own, I suspect due to hearing loss. If she takes a disliking to a customer, she will passive-aggressively ignore the customer, pretending to do busy work. Because I complained about receiving the wrong order over the last couple of weeks, I have been receiving this exact treatment from Brenda. Today, I was busy talking with an older Veteran friend when they called my number, and missed hearing the number. Completely my fault. However, when I went up and politely asked Brenda if I had missed hearing them call my number, she said, "I don't know," and turned her back and proceeded to pretend to clean the counter behind her. I observed at the time that there were two bags on the counter to the side. A few minutes later, another customer came up and asked the same question and Brenda instantly grabbed one of the bags and handed it to the customer. I asked again about my bag, and finally Brenda grabbed the last bag on the counter and handed it to me. It was obvious to me she had purposely ignored and delayed attending to my needs, something she has been doing to me frequently this week. She has also been reprimanding me repeatedly and failing to convey information that I ask for when it comes to refunds. Feeling frustrated, I tried to ask her today, "Why are you doing this?" At this point, the store manager, Kathy, jumped in and started waving Brenda off and interrupting. As I tried to explain the problem, Kathy kept continuously interrupting me, declaring that she, Kathy not Brenda, "was busy," and "didn't have time for this," and completely invalidating my concerns as she repeatedly talked over and interrupted me. I repeatedly asked her, "Please stop interrupting me," as I kept trying to explain the situation. Instead, I received repeated interruptions still and complaints from Kathy about how she was busy, etc. Eventually, Kathy finally acceded to stop interrupting, and clammed up, lips pursed, and let me speak. Then she proceeded to declare that, "I did exactly what you asked, I stopped interrupting and listened." She then proceeded to personally attack my behavior, and pointed out my raised voice in an attempt to discredit my complaint. By this time, my voice was indeed raised and I was anxious and agitated, from dealing with a manager that insisted on bickering with me and invalidating and constantly interrupting me. I was not yelling, but indeed, my voice was raised. Extremely frustrated at this point, I pointed out to Brenda that I had never held a grudge about the mistakes she made, I just wanted the mistakes fixed, and I had always treated her civilly in the past. To which Brenda nodded in agreement, surprisingly. I finally told Kathy that I intended to call the 1-800 McDonald's number and file a complaint. Kathy said, "Please do!" I indeed did so after I arrived home. I will say, at the end of this confrontation, and out of frustration, I ended it by complaining to Brenda that she was acting like a b*tch lately. That was entirely out of line on my part. In my frustration at being belittled, attacked, and interrupted, and disrespected, I finally lost my usually well controlled temper. Back to my interactions with the cashier, Brenda. Over the past 6 months, I have repeatedly had Brenda act belligerent and she always had a complaint. I was always civil to her. However, I have both seen and have had Brenda behave badly with customers. I have had her repeatedly, when I'm wearing a piece of jewelry she liked, gesture beckoningly to me and say, "You're going to give me that." I have quite literally seen Brenda say something similar to another female customer. Brenda liked the woman's shawl--on a cold day--and went up to her and demanded it and the woman gave it to her. This McDonald's is the worst. I do not recommend eating here, as you are very likely to not receive the correct order and if you complain, you risk being harassed. read more

Was charged full amount even though I paid in the app. The app receipt shows the deal was applied, but the receipt at the restaurant shows full price.
