This is a great McDonald's. I can't believe they only have two stars as an average rating. It is very clean inside. The bathrooms are clean and functional. And the interior is upscale and even a little bit artsy. The coke tasted a little bit off, otherwise I would've given five stars. The food was up to standard quality, and the service was very friendly. Sometimes I brace myself if I have to eat at McDonald's, but I actually look forward to coming back to this one! read more

I politely told one of the workers that the drive through screens weren't working, but she ignored me and asked me what to order. I hesitated for a couple seconds because I wasn't sure if she heard me. She then told me she wouldn't serve me. My friend ordered instead so we eventually got the food, but when I again (politely) tried to clarify at the window what I was saying, she gave me a glare and said she knew but refused service because I didn't give the order quickly enough (even though I only paused for a few seconds and they weren't busy). I don't usually leave bad reviews but I just felt like the service was extremely rude in this case and I won't be giving business to them. read more

usually i love this mcdonalds id prefer it over others in the area. i had ordered through the app getting free nuggets with points. we were dining in and our food was brought to us, except they gave us the mcchicken instead of the mccrispy and continued to tell me i was wrong when i asked for the correct food, while i was also still missing the nuggets. she told me i couldnt have what i had ordered for some reason??? i showed her my receipt on my mcdonalds app and how much i paid and how many points were deducted from my app. it is very frustrating when your toddler is screaming for food yet the employee wont give you what you paid for OR the customer service?? i was trying to be nice but clearly she didnt want me to be. read more

The sign says free hash brown with any bagel sandwich. I asked for the hash brown and was totally ignored. I asked a third time and the cashier only said "no more" and dismissed me. I pointed out the sign and he repeated "no more". Hello, earlier this night my brother and his friends were at this location and told me he was yelled at and cursed at being called a "d*ck" and "f*cking dumb ass" even threatening to call the police all because he took a picture of a broom. I was told by multiple sources that he had not said anything to the employee nor taunted her in any way. After attacking him my brother got up to leave and as he was doing so was caused out by the same employee, sources told me that he did not respond back to her condescending words and even held the door for an elderly couple entering the facility as he was doing so she continued to insult him and taunt him while doing so. Even though he was the only one told to leave many customers felt unsafe and decided to leave including all his friends who were previously loyal customers I'm usually a fan of this franchise but I would like the problem at hand to be addressed. We did not catch the name of the worker but she was described as being a shorter dark skinned woman in her mid 20s-30s working at around 9:30 November 5th. Thank you for your time I would like a prompt response or I do plan to contact upper management. read more

Beautiful and great location, but notorious across town to locals as meals are often wrong, sometimes comically wrong (6 lemon wedges instead of 6 nuggets is my favorite story!) They were doing better for a bit too, though. Recently, very rude female manager who made a wrong meal a second time incorrectly AGAIN. Her response was she had been there 15 years, refused to provide a name, and she wouldn't help. Ironically blamed it on the "young boys" but they did everything correctly and she, personally, made the 2nd meal wrong. It was only a happy meal with the 2 sides, embarrassing. Nobody has the multi drive thru service like chic filet, but so many others try. This place has a double drive thru and it took 10 minutes to get 2 drinks. Stay away from this location and their terrible employee VINCENT. Last night my brother's came to get food and my brother had propped his feet up on a seat while sitting. Admittedly a mistake, but an honest one. All of a sudden, an employee comes out and proceeds to basically attempt to physically intimidate my brother, clapping his hands while demanding that my brother leave before he's forced to "escort him out". None of us had heard him ask before, and tried to earnestly apologize as we just wanted our food and to leave, but he refused, and kept on until my brother left. Then when I went to ask another employee his name, he heard me and proceeded with yelling at me while I left, doing the same thing as before. Admittedly I caved and yelled back a bit, because I was furious, I have no idea what we ever did to this guy, but he reeeally goaded me into it. So if you want to spend your evening getting harassed by a disgruntled employee named VINCENT, with nothing better to do than pick on kids 15 years younger than him, stop by this McDonald's. A year ago, vowed never to go back! Without exaggeration (literally - NOT exaggerating) I never received a correct order. Something was either missing, made incorrectly, or I was overcharged on my credit card. My tipping point was when I actually got the missing/incorrect/overcharge trifecta with a quarter pounder that was MISSING THE BURGER - and then I read my receipt and I was charged for two! (Not making this up!) And then today, I saw someone on TV eating MD's French fries...and darn it if I didn't relent. And OF COURSE, the order came out wrong. In all fairness, the young man at the first window was great. The order on the receipt was correct, he was polite - he actually built confidence that THIS experience (after my year-long Purcellville McDonalds boycott) was going to be better. Then I had to pull up to the second window and that's when the dumpster fire ignited. I was given my drinks and HOT Carmel sundaes first. And then I waited. And kept waiting. And waited some more. All the while...watching my sundaes turn into milk soup. And when I finally got my order - you know I checked the bag. And all seemed good in the fast food world! I even saw the little tag on the sandwich indicating my request for no onions. And then I bit into my burger and was greeted with a mouth full of onions. I was going through my wallet to find my credit card, for maybe 20 seconds at most, and the employee not only scoffed, but shrugged his shoulders and closed the window. He then re-opened the window, and decided to let me and my coworker know that he had in fact worked 7 hours that day. And not in a nice way. In an extremely demeaning way. And after both me and my coworker came from a 12 hour food and beverage shift, we decided that was rather inappropriate to share with customers. I had just came from a 10 1/2 hour shift and i decided to get something VERY VERY simple for me and my co worker. We got 2 smoothies and headed to the next window. I was going to pay with apple pay but wanted to make it easier for the employee because i work in F&B and i know what it's like to deal with bad customer service. I got my phone out and deciders to just get my card out. Sometimes apple pay doesn't always work for me and i wanted to use a payment system that i know would work. As i pulled out my debit card the employee shook his head and said something under his breath. I told him "im just going to use my debit card" he then put his hand up looking pissed and then yelled at me "I WORKED 7 HOURS TODAY" i was disgusted and went to the next window. Before I start my review let me preface it: I worked for McDonalds as a manager for about 3 years. Worked my way up from crew. Worked in at least 5 different locations in that period. Not just in northern Va, but also in So Cal. This particular location is the worst McDonalds I've ever seen. It never gets better. I keep thinking it will, and it remains the same. The whole building smells of backed up sewage. The staff is absolutely clueless. Today I was told that I couldn't have more then 2 sauce cups because management gets angry. Remember how I prefaced my review? Management shouldn't care how many sauces a customer asks for! That to me is just a window into bigger problems at this location. I should also mention that it used to be an O/O (owner operator) store. The owner lost their license to operate a McDonalds, and it was taken over by corporate. They should've just bulldozed it and done Purcellville a favor. If you're in Purcellville and hungry try Tropical Smoothie Cafe or Haute Dog and Fries in the same shopping center. Avoid this place at all costs. I gave it one star because I couldn't figure out how to give it none. read more

MY STORY I've used to come here quite often during my middle school years when my mom was on a craze to use almost every single McDonald's coupon she'd received in the mail. Needless to say, I gave it a 3-year break, and only ever go if: a) I want breakfast, a Filet-o-fish or Angus Mushroom Swiss Burger b) Friends want to go (and I can't convince them to go elsewhere) c) They release a new line of Hello Kitty toys, which leads to me buying 8 Happy Meals (each with a different Hello Kitty toy) just so I can collect them all PROS -Speedy 5-10min service -Decent amount of places to sit -Acts as a teen hangout spot in a town with almost no teen hangout spots -(With permission) Can ask employees for an interview for school projects -Can spot students from the local schools -Can decently communicate with employees in English -Employees are willing to root through their Happy Meal toys to satisfy your ever-growing obsession for anything Hello Kitty (At least, if you're buying a Happy Meal) CONS -Employees sometimes have thick accents (makes communication a tad difficult) -Can spot students from the local schools -Is overcrowded during lunch and dinner times (both inside and out) -Drive-thru is overcrowded during breakfast times -Parking spaces are a bit too close to the drive-thru -The lower blow dryer in the girls bathroom still doesn't work after their renovations to the restaurant -Acts as a teen hangout spot in a town with almost no teen hangout spots (sporty/preppy kids near the front, hooligans/troublemakers near the back) -The parking lot area and area near the restrooms gets filled with bored teenage hooligans who like to vape/smoke/loiter/play music from their cars around 9pm at night (especially on Fridays and Saturdays) read more
