The menu is simple, the burgers are unique, and the history is part of the experience. The onion-poached burgers are juicy, packed with flavor, and somehow the simplicity is what makes them so memorable. The sweet, soft bun and perfectly cooked onions just work. You may have to wait in line, but that's part of the charm of a place that's been doing things the same way for over a century. If you're expecting fries, cheese, or endless customization, this probably isn't your place. But if you appreciate local legends, nostalgic roadside food, and burgers with a story, Pete's absolutely delivers. I've been going here since I was a kid. It was my grandfathers fave.
