McDonald's in Plainville (both locations) are so poorly ran. Wait times in the drive thru could be a half a freakin hour! It's unbelievable. Management is non existent and corporate or higher ups should look at these locations. It's totally unacceptable. The food is average as it's McDonald's. These McDonald's have been poorly ran for the last 20 years and it's amazing how nothing has changed. I'm writing this based solely on the little *itch that was beyond rude. The fact she even has a job at McDonald's is unreal. I hope she reads this because I've never felt more compelled to leave a review of a fast food place. After sitting in a drive thru 8 cars long and not moving, I pulled up to wait for "fresh fries they have to make." I pull up and wait. Girl comes out and gives me the bag. Goes inside. Good thing I checked. Absolutely no fries. So now I get out (I'm 8 months pregnant with my 6 year old in 20 degree weather) and go in. As soon as she sees me, she starts LAUGHING. In fact, she stares at me and continues to laugh. She says "ohhh I forgot your fries!" No apology. Turns to her coworker and the two start laughing together as she puts the fries in my bag and hands it back. STILL LAUGHING. No apology. This mcdonalds is the worst ever. Never have ice cream as they say is always broken. Is not good business for a customer to always go in for ice cream and not have any. It deserves no starts. As a parent is difficult to explain to our children why they can have when we go to mcdonalds and they say there's no ice cream. They should as well lower the prices for kids. A burger in Bozrah, CT should be the same as a burger in Burbank, CA... No surprises. Unfortunately the poor quality and service at this location often surprises me. This location doesn't have trouble serving: two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a ROCK HARD sesame-seed bun. The food isn't always bad, but it's often enough to know this location has a problem when compared to it's sister locations. When ordering at the drive-thru, don't expect special requests (like no pickles) to be honored and check your bag to make sure you got everything before pulling away. read more

I got some kind of BBQ burger with crispy onions and bacon and some kind of artisan bun and a large fry. The burger was lousy and barely warmed up and the fries were straight up cold. Went today earlier in the afternoon, got a double cheese burger, fries, & lemonade. Hungry and desperate to eat only to find out that the burger was undercooked and raw, the burger had a lot of oil grease. Couldn't finish the meal any further. If I could I'd give this a zero star. lemonade doesn't even taste good and sweet, it feels like they just put some lemon and the rest sink water these people literally put the ketchup inside one of a chicken nuggets mini box, really people!! Not only to mention that when I first came inside the place it only had a few people (should have guessed it right away) & went inside the bathroom and HOLY SHIT it smells like a sewer not even . Clean, quick and very friendly servers! I went in with my 3yr old daughter yesterday, for a special treat. We aren't regular procurerers of the Happy Meal and rarely to never enter the building. So not knowing what to expect. She walks over to the toy display. it happens to be Barbie which she doesn't own any of. She points and says I would like one of those. The manager walks over to her and asks which one she wants. She replies that she'd like the car. And the manager goes to look for it but it's not in front and so my daughter says that the guitar will do. She gives my daughter the guitar and says she is going to look in the back for the car. She comes back out front and makes my daughter's day with the car. Then the wonderful lady ringing us out, gives her the Barbie too. She was on cloud 9. For a McDonald's experience, this place is okay. Certainly not the worse one I've ever been to. They've spruced up the place alot inside with a new look. It's McDonald's, the original fast food. You can't really expect it to be stellar. When I go, I'm usually only grabbing a cheeseburger off the dollar menu or something because I don't have time for anything else, so my service is quick and there's not much room to mess up. Never had an issue before, staff always friendly. However, whenever going to a fast food place, we always check the bags to make sure we get what we ordered, now it's come to the point that you have to look in the boxes within the bags to make sure it's what was ordered. Ordered a 6pc chicken nugget happy meal. What a surprise when we opened the box and found one chicken wing (spicy). To me it looked like someone was playing a joke and thought it might be funny, but I was not happy about driving back, wasting my time and gas. In the future, I will travel the distance go to the one on Queen Street in Southington. I had only one issue the Southington location and when I drove back, the manager apologized and gave coupon for a free breakfast or value meal. The manager at the Plainville location gave a meek apology and then walked away, it is obviously he needs to take a crash course from the manager in Southington in resolving customer service issues. read more
