The order taker was accurate, if seemingly a bit shy. The manager was a bundle of friendly energy with a great smile and attitude. I can usually count on McDonald's for quick service, predictability, and passable food, served up with a small serving of chaos. This one fails at all of those except for the last. Problems that could be fixed by training the staff: Slow service (it took me 5 minutes in line then 15 minutes after ordering to get one Fillet O Fish sandwich on my last visit). Cashiers who can't enter orders correctly (mistakes, or just not knowing how to enter parts of the order). Dirty tables. Running out of condiments. Problems with the building design: Lots of large group seating, but few tables suited for individuals or small families. Like most McDonald's, bathroom doors that can leave your hands coated with a sticky layer of ??? as you exit. Problems that simply come with the territory: Lots of cranky kids (it's across from the Zoo). Lots of homeless people. These people suck at their job. They clock in everyday and perform the same duties every single day and yet somehow they get worse at what they do. I go there regularly and every time I go there there's a new issue. They get the order wrong... they give us the wrong food.... I have to go inside multiple times to correct the order. I ask for a refund and try to give the food back and they say they can't refund my money because I paid with cash.... and when I pay with card it's the same thing they mess up the entire order and they can't give me a refund because I paid with a card.... i don't know how they do their job every day the same way and manage to do a worse job every single time I go there. I worked at mcdonalds when I was younger and I figured out how to take an order, how to prepare and deliver that order to the customer... what is going on with these people. This review is about McDonald's in Omaha in general. Unfortunately I will be the first to admit I eat at McDonald's way too often. But as a result of this, I have come to determine there are some that are clearly better than others. My biggest complaint that I have with OMAHA McDonald's is the fact that there are two franchises in Omaha, and they don't share the same price structure. I first noticed it this fall when they decided the $1.00 any size soft drink or iced tea went away at the one franchise called DARMCO. Unfortunately, I am not aware of the other franchise name. Anyway, DARMCO raised their prices - the franchise owner of this unit did not. They finally did raise their prices somewhat. Their large drink went up to $1.29. Well, to make a long story short, DARMCO is not at $1.69 for a large while the other franchise is at $1.39. The McDouble is $1.49 at DARMCO and $1.19 at the other one. It's very frustrating to have to figure out which price structure is at what unit. So far I have determined that the units on south 13th street, 40th and Dodge, 42nd and I-80, 78th and Dodge, and 108th and Q are part of the better priced franchise. It's unfortunate, but the one that is just a few blocks from my home at 132nd and Maple belongs to DARMCO, because they used to be a great unit, but I can't bring myself to pay more for the same thing I can get at another unit that is usually right on my way somewhere. read more

O.K. So I decided to lower my breakfast standards and swing thru McDonalds drive thru expecting to be disappointed in some way, as usual. It's kind of like being in a bad relationship. I know the $h!ts gonna disappoint me, but I keep going back for more. No line. Check. Place my order and they get it right. Check. Pay with my debit card, check. Wowzer, this transaction was going great. In fact, I thought this is too good to be true, which it was. The woman at the register handed my debit card back to me without a receipt. Uh-oh. I asked for a receipt, she said they are out of register receipts and there was no receipt tape in the entire restaurant. I asked if she was positive a receipt could not be printed out at one of the other registers and she again said no way, because all the registers are out of receipts and they do not have replacement receipt tape in the whole place. I drove to the next window, get my overdone, dried out, cold hash browns and unexceptional egg mcmuffin and ask for a manager. The lady who handed me the subpar breakfast stated she was the manager. I suggested they inform customers there are no receipts available before their cards are swiped. She also told me they are no receipts in the entire restaurant. I told her that I would not have proceeded with the transaction had I know that fact prior to my card being swiped. I asked for the store manager's name and she said she suddenly remembered one of the registers had tape and she could send my receipt to that register. I told her I asked the person at window "1" that exact thing and she lied and said it was not possible because there was no tape in the entire restaurant. I do not appreciate being treated this way and I can honestly say I know when to call it quits. This is the end of this wishy-washy connection; I am completely over this place. read more

The McDonald on 13th street should be closed down! I work close by and normally eat the fish sandwich with no cheese. They can't even do that right. My fish was cold, there was no tarter sauce, the bun was hard as a brick and of course they put cheese on it. I called and the manager after I opened it when I got back to work, biggest mistake! I was told to bring it back and they'd replace it. Well that would be fine if I'd had the time. this place would get negative stars if I could. This has to be the worst McDonald's I have ever been to. Go anywhere else, hell go and order food from the gas station near by. Service here was ridiculously slow and the young teenagers working there would rather play on their cell phones than take customers orders. The manager who was on shift at the time seemed to have given completely. All in favor of hiring young purple, but these kids lacked all sorts of motivation. This is, without a doubt, the slowest McDonald's I have ever been to. There is no time of day I drive by hat there isn't a line wrapped around the building and God forbid I stop here for food I realize why that is: they take forever. There are plenty of other options around this area if you have another option: choose it. Even if they get your order right, which is doubtful, you'll probably have to park in one of their waiting spots and have a 5-10 minute wait for them to cook your food. read more

Asked the girl while cleaning to clean where we wanted to sit, and she ignored me and kept cleaning tables somewhere else. Eventually, we cleaned it ourselves. I come to this McDonalds on a weekly basis, for something quick since it's close to home. The staff are always rude. Pulled through the drive thru earlier, the young lady at the 2nd window opened the window and did not say one word to me. She handed me my bag without even looking at me. I grabbed it from her and said thank you, which she followed with handing me my drink (again, hasn't even looked me in the face nor spoke to me). After I grabbed my drink, she immediately closed the window and went on to put a lid on a drink. I looked in my bag and realized i didn't get a straw. So i sat there for about 15 seconds before she opened the window and attempted to hand me another customers drinks. I told her i just needed a straw and she said "you didn't have the frappe?" to which i responded "no. I got my order and it's correct, i Just need a straw please" she handed me a straw without a word and closed the window. Like she didn't even know that I was the same car? It wasn't even busy, i was 1 of 2 cars in the line. My fries were also already cold. As someone who used to work at a McDonalds for 3 years, im just shocked and how they're acting. I understand bad days, bad moods, & whatever, i have them too all the time. I have never called when they've gotten my orders wrong, or when they're rude, but this was the breaking point to me being understanding. I know it's just mcdonald's and you don't get paid enough for what the customers/management put you through, but cmon man. I ordered a 6 piece McNugget for my pupper, a large artisan crispy chicken meal for my roommate, and a large artisan grilled chicken meal for me. They gave me something way left field. I did receive a 6 piece box... with 4 nuggets inside, a solitary medium cup, a small fry (stale and cold), and a McChicken. They also should realise that practically everyone in the world can speak Spanish. I knew what they were saying about me. The punk at the counter quickly threw out my receipt. I demanded said receipt "sorry, bra, but, like, the health code doesn't let me get stuff out of the trash." I said you could print off another. "Nah. The computer doesn't allow that." Mind you, the original order shouldn't add up to $25.79, let alone what I received. The 16 year old manager called Omaha PD but refused to let them review the CCTV footage. A quick interview of the other patrons revealed my money was pocketed by the bum at the counter. They "resolved' my order, but no refund. *News flash* still not what I ordered, suddenly it became slathered in vile McDonald's "bbq" sauce. I called the next day asking who the franchise owner was. This was the worst McDonald's I have ever eaten at. The floors and tables were full of trash and food. The catchup despiser was out The restroom was dirty. And the service was slow. There were l three employees sitting chatting in the dining area. We placed our order at 6:48 pm. No one else was in line when we placed our order and no one was in line after we ordered. Seriously this place sucks. I asked for sauces for nuggets and didn't receive any so I told the guy who took my order & he said that hey charge for sauce unless with the meal. I told him that we ordered sauce with the nuggets but didn't get any so then he said okay. I told him 3 or 4 times the sauce was sweet and sour and he said so you want honey mustard?
