Totally wish they had malts instead of shakes. I thought the burger was solid however my husband RAVED about his burger. And he's a tough critic . I was the only car in the drive-thru, yet there was no greeting, no "thank you," and barely any communication beyond being given my total. The workers seemed irritated, and a little basic friendliness would make a big difference. The burger also looked rushed and thrown together. What I received looked nothing like the pictures--much smaller and pretty rough in presentation. The food has potential, but if I'm paying $21 for a burger and fries, it needs to be worth $21. The burger should be put together properly and the service should be decent. Otherwise, I'm going to Five Guys.

Went inside to order and the staff was super friendly, as they handed us the menus. The ambiance was a lot like a diner, with bench seating tables and high chairs, did not see any booths, but it's was clean, bright and open. My wife ordered the pancakes and chicken, I had the debo sandwich with potato salad and the slaw. From the comments I was hearing from my wife, the pancakes were amazing, with fruit inside them and a light syrup, the chicken was crisp and juicy, much to her liking. My sandwich was outstanding, it was huge and flavorful, the chicken was also very crunchy and the homemade pickles complemented it well. The sandwich also had a sweetness from the honey vinegar cayanne sauce with just a bit of heat too. The potato salad was delightful, now sweet but really good flavor and had hard boiled eggs in it, you don't get that very often any more, and the slaw was a bit sweet and tart with the pickled onions and pickled jalapeños, and some added crunch from sunflower seeds. It was a bit pricy, but the food was fantastic... Worth the price and worth the wait. Monster portions, we took the left overs home and get to enjoy it again tonight.

The coolest thing about this place is the view to the east--trees nearby and distant Omaha skyline. You can buy a newspaper at the BP next door and chill out for about an hour on a $1 purchase. There's no flat screen TV--that would probably attract too many bums. read more
