Love coming here as it's always good and always filling. Price is very good and you get a lot for what you're spending. The chicken is always cooked to perfection. Nice and moist while also being very crispy. We went with the Hot level of spice today and it's was pretty good, will try the next level next time we're in. I finally made it to Dave's Hot Chicken for lunch today and now I see what the hype has been about. Huge chicken portions, delicious seasoning, customizable spice levels and sides too! I did a to go order online so it was ready when I arrived. By the time I got back to work, everything was still hot and fresh! I went with the #3 to try one of each: A tender and a slider with fries and bread. As others have said, the slider is more like a whole piece of chicken! The kale slaw is a great concept and unique flavor compared to traditional coleslaw. Not as runny as other slaws I've had which I preferred. Pro tip, add the side of honey to boost the flavor of this sandwich! The strip is just that, a plain chicken strip. Utilize their homemade dipping sauce with this one. Good was very yummy. A bit overpriced, but very yummy. I do not like their signature sauce as much as Chick Fil A or Cane's. I got the medium, but I found that to be pretty mild. I don't have incredible tolerance for spice nor am I a wuss, so I would err on the side of "get spicier." The freshness of the food is comparable to the aforementioned chicken spots though. Finally got a chance to try Dave's hot chicken late one weeknight and I was thoroughly impressed! I was afraid it was going to be insanely hot to I downgraded and only got my chicken medium and in the future I will be getting the hot. Their seasoning almost has a little sweetness to it. It's very good! The chicken was very juicy and tender! Next time I will be getting the sandwich though. I was aware the bread that came with the tenders was just plain white bread. My mom recommended this place so I doordashed it tonight. Can't speak to the atmosphere or restaurant itself but I can speak to the food. I'm pretty nearby so the fries arrived crispy and hot. I ordered the single slider (it's a full sandwich so don't let the name worry you) with cheese fries (cheese extra). I got the Mac and cheese too and an Oreo topped shake. Wow. Every bite was delicious. The shake had Oreo pieces all the way down, the Mac and cheese was just right and the sandwich was crispy and fresh and I especially liked the light toppings of the kale slaw on the sandwich. Really gave it that something extra. The cheese fries were awesome. It's that nasty movie theater cheese that we all love, and I don't know if they went light on the cheese because it was delivery, but I'd just recommend ordering an extra cheese. It's that good. I have no complaints with this restaurant I originally tried this place for the first time in California and it was amazing so I knew I had to try the Nebraska location. The restaurant was pretty busy but the workers were moving fast after placing my order I sat in the lobby and waited. The lobby was clean and there were plenty of sitting. Well, I finally did it. I ordered Dave's hot chicken. First things first I ordered it through DoorDash. Didn't get my coleslaw. Didn't get my strawberry shake. They're already losing. My husband and I went this afternoon and I thoroughly impressed. It was really busy when we got there (around 2/2:30pm), but we were still able to get our food within 15 minutes of ordering. I got the hot tenders, my husband got the medium slider and tender meal. Both were hot (temperature wise) and the flavors really shined through on my hot (think the spicy level of CFA spicy sandwiches) tenders. I tried my husbands and couldn't distinguish a flavor. I tried the fries he got, nothing special - but they were crisp, not soggy and fresh. The slider had more flavor and tasted better than I expected. It is now the number 1 spicy chicken sandwich for me. Overall, it was a great experience. Somethings to keep in mind if you go check it out: -- Parking is limited. I heard about this place and wanted to see if it lived up to the hype. We waited outside in line and inside inline (only one register going) for about 15 minutes. For 13.99 you can get 2 tenders sliders and fries and pickles. I feel like that should include a drink. It also comes with a sauce similar to canes IMO. I don't feel like that goes with this meal at all. I needed a cool homemade ranch to dip my chicken in or even blue cheese. The fries were seasoned crinkle cut, very good. I got the "hot chicken". I was a little worried it would burn my mouth off but it was perfect. Not burn your mouth at all. The chicken was juicy and seasoned and the slaw on the slightly sweet bun made it a great sandwich. Just wish I had some ranch! The mac and cheese just tasted like bland Mac and cheese with some Cayenne pepper in it. I was hoping it was going to be awesome. 5 stars for this California chain. It's a simple menu, similar to Raising Canes, but has a southern feel and the HOT chicken. Chicken is tender, and well prepared. The coating is light, crispy, and well flavored. The spice levels are adequately rated, and delicious. I even love the sides of mac and cheese, fries and the kale slaw. It's semi fast food, and after 3 visits, each time was consistent on wait time, food quality, and hospitality. $$ more than your average fast food joint, although a meal at McDonalds these days isn't much less. read more

I want to say I really love the flavor and spice on the chicken and I will be back for that. Went grand opening day and stood out in the cold for an hour but the line moved quickly and the manager came out and chatted with folks which was cool. I give three stars because the fries I got and my friend had husband got tasted differently. Theirs had much more seasoning and mine just tasted like plain fries. I also did not enjoy the sauce it had an aftertaste I didn't enjoy. The staff was friendly and I liked the design of the place inside.
