Olney Station is the OG location, and it was fascinating observing the similarities and differences. For one, their happy hour goes until 7, while Terrapin's was until 6 -- but only the latter had a late night happy hour on Fridays and Saturdays. I think the menus were nearly identical. I went with one of my classic favs -- the bison burger with fries. And it was Burger Tuesday, so it was $5 off, yay! I was sitting at the bar and the bartender was handling everyone's orders efficiently. I forgot his name, but he was a nice older guy. It was nice to see what the original location looks like, and it truly is a nice layout. I'd return, but I'm hoping the location near my house returns sooner than later :).

You won't go away hungry...you get a fair amount of food for the price. Even better, you get quality ingredients which is not cheap, especially now that food prices are so high.

For the main course, all four of us ordered pasta, and again, the same issue--very little taste. No one offered fresh Parmesan, which is something you'd normally expect with a pasta dish. Halfway through my meal, trying to improve the flavor, I asked for some Parmesan. I was genuinely surprised when the server told me it would cost an extra $1. It wasn't about the dollar--it was the principle. Charging extra for something as basic as Parmesan with pasta felt unreasonable. When we raised the concern, the manager confirmed this policy came directly from the owner. My advice: just include it in the price of the dish. Policies like that leave a bad impression and cost you repeat customers. Between the bland food and that moment, the experience turned from disappointing to frustrating. Sadly, this isn't a place we'll be returning to--and it's one we'll be warning others about.

The bill was incorrect and I had to get a manager to fix it (the manger was very friendly and took care of everything). I also have an issue when a server asks us how the food is, right when the food gets put down on the table. We hadn't even had a chance to take a bite. Now, why I gave this place a five star. Like I said before, the ambiance was amazing, if we had a different server, I'm sure it would had been great! The food: it' was top notch. Some of the best food in Maryland. I wouldn't had changed anything with the food. Everything was seasoned perfectly, had the right textures, and tasted so good! Would I go back? Absolutely!

I decided to get the fried artichokes for myself. I thought they were delicious... just one slight issue. I noticed that on a good deal of the artichoke hearts, the choke wasn't completely removed. Now... the choke (hairy little inside portion) is called the choke for a reason. That being said, there wasn't too too much of it and I just kinda cut most of it off with my spoon as it was fried and fairly easy to remove. The aioli that it was served with was quite good. I also got to try the brussel sprouts which were quite delicious, if not a bit heavy handedly sauced. It was definitely clear the brussel sprouts would have been very crispy if the sauce were added, tossed, and then strained. I also did get to try the poutine which ignited a debate with my friend about what type of cheese goes onto a traditional poutine, in which I clearly told him and can clearly tell you - he was wrong lol. Traditionally poutine is served with whole cheese curds. He was trying to argue that it was not and that they wouldn't melt from the heat of the fries and gravy. He is wrong. Argument handled lol. What I found interesting about the poutine that my friend got at Flipside was that the cheese curds were fried. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that! They're taking a different approach to a traditional poutine, but if it were me, I'd opt for unfried to create a bit more of a balance between the fries and the rest of the dish. That said, the fries and gravy were quite good! The chicken sandwich that my friend got looked amazing. I didn't get to taste it, as it's weird to ask for a bite of someone's sandwich, but it looks REAL tasty and he expressed it was. Overall, a few slight technical issues which I think Flipside could work out (really the brussel sprouts and the artichokes), but overall the flavors presented are on point. I don't include the cheese curd debate in the technical issues because that's a total preference and creative freedom issue. Hey, if you like fried on top of fried, those fries are for you - all puns intended. The only other thing I'd like to leave as constructive criticism is to say, I'd love to see 1 healthier option on the menu if possible. Everything seems to be fried, and I'd love to see a little something for those who'd like something a little lighter. Overall, great little food truck/trailer though.

I was even offered a ride home, it was freezing and someone had a pickup truck.
