This McDonalds is terrible. They have never once made my drive thru order correctly, the fries are usually overcooked (hard & brown) and never hot enough and staff seems clueless most of time. I dont eat McDonald very often but it would be nice to have a decent experience at least once at this place! read more

Horrible customer service. The last two times I have gone there to pick up food for a family member There was barely anybody in the building and yet there where tons of workers in the back and I had to stand there even make eye contact with them and they still did not come help me until at least five minutes had passed of me just standing there. I have had them ring me up for the wrong price both times and get overcharged for a meal that should only be two dollars. And then the food comes out wrong and has to be redone. And the fact that you can't even go at night to get a milkshake without them telling you they're out of milkshakes by 7 o'clock is just ridiculous. Several times a week I take my son after school for an M&M McFlurry or Smoothie. Today my son ordered a large Smoothie which came about 80% full; I got a small one brimmed to the top. When I told the window associate his was not full she referred me to another older woman who responded they would only fill to the line. Who knew there was a line? Perhaps it's the mating of the lightning bugs that brings upon my early summer melancholy. The graceful orchestra of flashing lights is an undeniable beauty, yet a fleeting one. As each lightning bug's awesome spectacle captures the heart of another, the glowing dwindles, until there is one lonesome flash drudging across the grassy void, hopelessly searching for another forgotten soul. As the phenomenon brings great awe and wonder, I know that each spectacle will be lesser than the previous, until the last lonesome light finally flickers out. Just as the the lightning bug was a fleeting beauty created by God, the McRib was a fleeting beauty created by man. McDonald's had once again released its siren, signaling the McRib's return. I hadn't been prepared. I never was. The McRib is elusive, its appearances are not cyclical like the lightening bugs, it comes and goes as it pleases, drifting from city to city, country to country, distributing its joy the best it can without exhausting itself. The tears of joy cascaded down my cheek like a river of relief when I heard the news. With all the pain and uncertainty in the world, the McRib restored faith, in man and pork-based sandwiches. After stemming the flow of tears, I drove to my nearest McDonald's in a crazed frenzy, quite possibly breaking several traffic laws in the process, but I had to capture my fleeting beauty. I burst through the door and was greeted by Dorris, a young, innocent employee. Her excitement was barely contained beneath her black visor, she knew the day had come, however, I had no time for this child's smile. "You know why I have come," I said sternly. She nodded immediately and a seriousness fell upon her face, she had been training for this day. With seamless precision and grace she coordinated my McRib's preparation and before long I was rewarded with a plastic tray which my white knight was mounted upon, exactly as depicted in the commercials. I threw a $20 bill at Dorris and rushed to an open seat. Undressing my white knight from his flimsy paper armor, I revealed his gorgeous body. His pork barely contained within the two fluffy sesame sea buns soaked in barbeque sauce. One does not simply throw oneself at a lover, s/he takes in her/his entire essence, the scent, the texture. The hesitation, builds anticipation and anticipation builds euphoria. Finally I could resist no more, I removed the pickles and the pubic hair of a disgruntled employee (both of which I am not a fan of) and finally ravaged him. I was immediately transported on a spiritual journey. I could feel the hot Georgian Sun beat down on my white skin, the same Sun which nursed the sugarcane to fruition, to be the base of the legendary sauce. I could see the proud pig which grazed in an open field, content with the knowledge that one day he would comprise many McRibs. I heard the scythe slice through the virgin grains, soon to be forged into the artisanal bread. It was infinite, yet it ended immediately. I attempted to lick the final remains of the sauce to recapture that feeling, but it was hopelessly vain. I soon came to the conclusion that it was over. Dorris looked from a distance, her face in awe at the spectacle she had just. I walked slowly over and caressed her cheek with the back of my hand. "You did well my child," I said softly. Where to begin...there is a McDonalds and then there is a New Providence McDonalds. The staff member who took my order was more heated than my microwaved bacon egg and cheese biscuit. Perhaps their manager could reward them with a mcflurry to boost morale. Will avoid in the future, now heading to Burger King for my lunch appointments :/ read more

Awful customer service. My car was side swiped in their parking lot . I reported to management right after I saw it. I wanted the license plate of the car that hit me. I gave them my name, cell phone and sent them pictures of the damage. I called multiple times and got nowhere. read more

ZERO STARS. STAY AWAY! HEALTH HAZARD!! This Mickey D's always sucked (ie stale food, no habla, don't have a plain hamburger ready at the drive thru etc.) But recently was the last straw. Had a Big Mac attack so I ordered 2 GRAND Macs,coke & fries on the way home from work. Of course I had to wait in a parking spot cause they only had 1 ready. Got home, ate, and within 20 minutes started PROJECTILE VOMITING. You get the picture. No McD's at any location ever again. EVER! The food is pretty much the same as any McD's. However, I do like this location as it is very clean and looks very spacious. Getting in and out of the parking lot is a bit of a headache, but it should be a little easier now with both the stoplight and the newly painted "box" (though jerks will still cruise right through and block the driveway). The service, for the most part, is horrible. Always, always, always check your order multiple times. Open each box because they have given us the wrong sandwich about 50% of the time we've ordered. The cashiers always look bored, even when they're taking your order. For convenience, though, it's pretty good since it's open until 11 - long after every other restaurant in the area closes. read more

I just came back from McDonalds in New Providence. I ordered 2 Happy Meals, 1 cheeseburger and 1 chicken nuggets. Both were for girls. They asked if I wanted apples or gogurt. I said gogurt for both. I got 1 girl toy and 1 boy toy. What 4 year old girl wants something pertaining to John Madden. I didn't get the gogurt in either meal. I have also had problems here before in getting short changed and wrong orders. I have learned to count every penny of the change I receive. read more

The next order I get correct will be the first one. I ordered a 10 piece, 2 hamburgers with no ketchup, a cheesburger and a quarter pounder, no cheese. I got the cheesburger, quarter pounder WITH cheese. and 2 cheeseburgers with no ketchup. Also, no 10 piece. You cannot use the drive though because you always need to check your order before you leave. read more

Not entirely sure but under new management I think. It used to be better. Now if you go early in the morning, they have one person serving drive thru as well as the front counter which makes the service slow and sloppy. I feel bad for the people who work there. It's to their fault but obviously the new management want to save money. It is on it's way down hill. It's not too late to improve. It's the only one around for miles.. Worst McDonald's I have been to in a long time. Their are some decent folks working there but the consistency of food preparation and the ordering function are poor at best. The management team has got to be highly incompetent or in need of training. If not for the location it would be and should be out of business. It's a McDonald's located in a very unassuming spot right on Springfield Ave in New Providence. I have noticed that the drive-thru can take a very long time and if you come on a weekend morning, the place is absolutely packed with people not in a rush to go nowhere. Waited patiently for at least 5 minutes for someone to even ask me what I would like to order until I had to ask one of them. There were about 5 people working but not doing much. If no star is an option I would give a no star! Ordered hot chocolate through mobile ahead of time, went through drive thru, they couldn't find my order. Lady took my phone and shut the window while I waited in my car with windows down in the cold weather - rude! Asked me to pay, I told her "no! It's a mobile order I paid when placing the order already!" Then I asked her to scan my QR code given it's a McCafe and I'm trying to get to 5 drink so I can get a free one one day, she refused and said "you should've told me earlier!" Seriously? You shut the window and went on doing your thing on the computer how was I supposed to know you expected me to do what?? Btw, that's the second time they refused to scan my "buy 5 McCafe drinks, get 1 free" code. So I'm now still 4 drinks away. Then I drove up to the second window and was immediately sent to curbside. Waited almost 15 min with no one showing up, all the cars behind me got their orders and left. I had to stay there with my baby in the car.
